I was going to ask Mr K to do it for me but it cost us few freaking hundred bucks. So we ended up buying from ikea which is way much cheaper.

Kitchen is complete. Living room still lacks of coffee table and side table and curtain. waiting for the last shipment from taobao. Study room lacks of new set up comp. WIW is still messy as still waiting for more hangers from taobao too. thanks alfredt.

Its been awhile since last post, it was due to the not so furnish home after reno, we were still awaiting for some furnitures to come in. Have been waiting since before Chinese New Year till now. Hope the items will ship over real soon.

Hi Runningman, Happened to come across your t-blog, looking good. Recgonise the bookshelf and stripe walls to be quite similiar to what Mr K had always do but understand that you did not take up Mr K eventually. I had Mr K for my rennovation and there was some issues too, wont say its the best experience. Even customers who engaged him after me seems to have some issues with him too. Anyway glad that you did not engage him and had someone else to do up your scandi home. Your layout is completely mirror image of mine but your dinning area seems to be shorter. Love the way you hack the kitchen wall and had a counter at the entrance. What did you used the cratebox for? I saw people selling online and was thinking to do up a modular display shelf or bookshelf with the cratebox but we ened up buying some wall shelves instead which is easier as well. =x Your HDB kitchen tiles and the door against the stripe counter looks exactly the same as what i have too! Does your bto happens to be in Fernvale?

I felt the same too, if it runs along the ceiling or along the flooring it shoudl be fine. Anyway, its been done, its also due to the weird layout. Anyway, for that space you could place some deco or some mini plants or pots for decoration too. Don get upset about it, see how to improve and make it better. -

Hi hojichalatte, Came by your t-blog and realised i might be a little too late to advise on the electrical. I was quoted much lesser or way way way much lesser than you and elin were quoted from Mr K. Could it be there is some special electrical wiring works to be done? As for the aircon trunking in the shower, it does not seems to make sense to have it so high up. -

Hi readers~ I understand that alot have been asking me about the quote that Mr K have provided me. However, i am unable to reveal the breakdown cost as it will be unfair to him. As the quote is customized for the dimension of my fixtures and certain costing will increase or decrease depending on the cost that the vendor have provided him. However i could reveal that the total cost of my reno adds up to $36K eventually excluding Vinyll which i have done in the bedrooms and excluding the aircon and lighting fixtures. Do find the items that i was quoted to do below : Hacking workshack existing wall at Kitchen, Service Yard and Master Bedroom Cement works- cement skirting for cabinets , washing machine base and shower screen kerbs- hollow block for wash basin at Service Yard (Separate sink to wash some handwash clothings or bath my dogs apart from the kitchen sink for cooking etc. bottom will act as a area for my dogs to discharge themselves) - homogenous flooring 15X90 l.i.v.i.n.g room - sit down concrete tiles at Master Bedroom's Toilet (for us to sit and bath or bath our dogs in the toilet at a higher level- glass mosiac tiles at Kitchen except cabinet area (backsplash for kitchen)- hollow block at Kitchen (Concrete for Kitchen Cabinets)- white brick wall l.i.v.i.n.g room's 2 side (feature wall) Carpentry works- install low ,upper kitchen cabinets granite countertop (kitchen cabinets on both side)- install a unit tv cabinet l-i-v-i-n-g room (floating tv console)- install a unit solid plywood frame at Kitchen (decorative frame for the entrace of the kitchen)- install a unit shoe cabinet l.i.v.i.n.g room (full height shoe cabinet)- install a unit of without door wardrode at Master Bedroom - a unit of low cabinet at Master Bedroom's bay window Miscelleous- 10mm tempered glass showerscreen at Master Bedroom's toilet - 10mm tempered glass showerscreen at Common toilet- 2 pieces of door and door frame at Master Bedroom ( for the mini walk in wardrobe)- a unit of solid plywood door at 2 Toilets (changing hdb's toilet door)- a unit of light box and false ceiling l.i.v.i.n.g room and Master Bedroom - install silding window at Kitchen (window at service yard) There was certain items which we add on. for e.g box up for air con, bathroom extra pc of glass. I seen alot people doing self installation video and it seems pretty easy and my hubby seems like he could do it so we purchase it, anyway it was around $100 compare to the few hundred if purchase from vendor. Hi Tirimisu, Yes the turqoise bookcase shelf is from ikea. Its a new colour.

Yes, its consider keyless, am using rfid card to access, otherwise could use pw lock.
