Prefer to test out sofas to get a feel as fittings are different for everyone. The review for Lazyboy recliner chairs seems pretty bad I have checked out seahorse recliners. The mechanism for the foot rest seems to be very 'bouncy'. Not too sure about that although I like their sofa beds all these years. I have seen some recliners at this furniture shop in Suntec City above Carrefore and thought quite decent. Anyone have any feedback about dealings with their furnitures? They sell bonded leather which is like recycle genuine leather. I wonder how ok are they? Thanks for any info. Cheers

Agree with Holyavatar. Most contractors may know how to install fans generally but may not be excellent in all brands as different brands are made different. Get the agent to recommend their own contractor, who day in and day out install their own brand of fans thus very familiar with their fans. It is true we need to pay extra for balancing if we didn't get the agent to fix. It should not cost a lot and good balancing makes a difference. Secure, quiet, function optimally.

Yes. Hopefully your false ceiling is not too low for safety reason. Also provided it is installed on the concrete ceiling inside the false ceiling. The contractor will know what to do but you must tell him you hv false ceiling.

Ceiling fan should work well in most space. Go for it as it frees you from having standing fan that takes up floor space and it really cools the room. I have been using a clothes dryer for 17 years and it saves me time and effort. It may consume more electricity. It does not damage clothes if you dry clothes that could be tumble dry. Must check all clothes labels for instructions. I only tumble cotton, and synthetic fabric materials like polyester. If you remove clothes immediately from dryer once the drying cycle stops, just hang the going-out clothes and they may just straighten nicely (works well for polyester material and minimise ironing for cotton). Towels will be soft and fluffy (remember to put those softener - dryer sheets like Bounce or Purex.) Clothers do not 'fade' so drastically as in bleaching. Sunning clothes also do fade. The Pros: 1) Dry Clothes on time 2) Clothes and Towel dry soft and fluffy (with dryer softener sheets) 3) No need to hang n peg clothes individually 4) No birds poop and dust like when drying in the open. The Cons: 1) Electricity comsumption (I believe it must be quite something but never quite check to compare) Can anyone with personal experience advise please? 2) Another space Hope this helps but it is still very individual though.

LOL... Now I feel very backward. I am not sure about convection built-in oven cum microwave oven. I guess they designed the 3-in-1 microwave cum convection oven for this very need and purpose.

Depending on how much you bake and grill. I have both the built-in oven (for my new house) and the 3-in-one microwave oven (Brought over from my old house. It was with me for 17 years!!). Microwave function is useful for quick heat-up. The 3-in-one oven works well for baking and grill too. I have yet to use my built-in oven and I suppose it is good for major cooking for big function. I am eyeing the Happycall pans which serves like a portable grill and 'oven'. My choice would be 3-in-one plus a Happycall and if have space and budget, a built-in-oven.

I bought a washer, dishwasher and a built-in oven from Bosch. Had a pleasant experience with the services and love their products.

I have just enquired from a few companies last few days. Depending on the size of your house n the kind of pests you want to control. I got a few quotes for comparison. 1) SB Pest Control seems to be easy going n cheaper. I saw my neighbour used them to spray mozzies. 2) Killem Pest Control price not bad. 3) I have decided to use Rentokil Initial though it may cost a little more. Simply bcos they were quite pro, efficient in replying to my queries and even gave on site non-obligatory inspection almost immediately after my phone call ( they happened to be free). There were some companies quoted me some out-of-the-range prices n I was puzzled n suspect if they really wanted to do my biz.

I agree with Lauer. Using a machine also requires different grade (course to fine to finest?) of emery pads to sand with water. I know how you feel bcos a part of my white slab marble flooring (2 months old only ) are already matt . It was stained with some wood paint by some contractors during rebuilding and to get back the whiteness, they (not the marble polisher) used bleach and sand paper to 'clean' it. I learned to accept it unless I engage the polisher to re-polish the whole house again. Btw, my mum also own a white marble dining table top for decades. Of course after years of 'abuse' (staining/rolling pastries/eating off it), it is matt now . But somehow I thought it looks very nice. Full of character and many stories and history packed with it . Oops! Sorry! This may not be what you want to hear , just ignore it. Hope you find a solution.

Hi All, Could anyone advise me on outdoor blinds? I am considering using a wood or wood-looking blinds for my sheltered patio. Main reason is to keep out the rain from my natural wood flooring and some privacy. Ideally it must be able to retain its looks (I saw some really faded/weathered blinds) for at least some years. I also noticed rust on my brand new Stainless Steel sink and asked the company that sold me and was enlightened . The staff explained tt as I have just renovate my place and dust from the cabinets/wall tiles cement etc has settled on the sink for some time before I used. He recommended Autosol. Polish this with soft cotton rags n true enough the rusts were removed.
