  1. OH! By the way, if business people asks you to buy their things and keep insisting that you put down the deposit...DON"T!!! Most likely such characters survive on collecting your deposit and then on others' deposit month after month after month...I am not surprise that istill will start to change to another name very soon....if anyone bothers to do an internet research, the female character here has been going around spoiling the integrity of the funiture and ID industry!
  2. Dear Sai, Do report your "GST" experience to IRAS. Although the owners of Inch Designs Pte Ltd has since shut down, if the transaction and the representative signature is signed by Janet Lim, who by the way, as we have gathered from this foreum site: http://talkback.stomp.com.sg/forums/showthread.php?t=119403, that Janet Lim's real name is : Lim Choon Lan@ Lim Sok Choo. So conclusion for all of us here: 1. We should not do money transaction with such characters. This is a free economy, we are entitled to do business and give business to whoever we want. 2. I am not surprise that if anyone of us do a ACRA business registration check, the "bosses" of Silver-river may also have shares in ISTILL PTE LTD (Formerly known as Inch Design Pte Ltd) 3. When we took Inch Design Pte Ltd to Small Claims Courts earlier this year, our business checks revealed that one of the boss of silver-river has her name as a director in INch Design Pte Ltd. What are they up to? i am sure we all know by now. 4. FUN FACT: the people who run silver river were previously in the business of doing roller shutters in the later part of last century! Whatever this means, i am sure we can conclude that we do want people who are REALLY in the furniture business to handle our furniture! 5. Our advice: if we do face any unethical business transaction from this unpopular character and her offspring or minions, let's just go to SMALL CLAIMS COURT immediately. Imagine::: if every other month this J-person has to turn up at small claims curt, WILL Justice not prevail for all of us here sooner or later? I wish one and all season's greetings and do not patronize such unethical business people!

Dear Luv2buy, Not to worry too much even though You have now engaged in a business transaction with Inch Design Pte Ltd, you must remember that you too have your basic rights as a paying client of this firm. We understood that a compliant against iNch Desgin Pte Ltd had been made with CASE in the recent June 2011 Month and now CASE has this firm's most updated records. Also, a legal claim has been put up with the Subordinates Courts of Singapore against iNch Design Pte Ltd in late June 2011 and the Small Claims Tribunal have this interior design/ furniture firms records and documentation too. Do remember to have every thing, every slightest promises that the staff of this firm made to you to be written in black and white on any invoices and contracts before you sign and commit further payment. May I know who are dealing with on your purchases with iNch Design Pte Ltd? If it is with Janet Lim, you can just do a simple <<google>> search and the results will expose all her pushy sales tatics, unfair trade practices, rude behaviors etc etc and that should keep you informed of what "she may be up to" should your business transaction with her turned for the worse. You should also be aware and have knowledge of your consumer's rights and not be afraid to execute them. http://www.case.org.sg/cpfta.htm Please call CASE hotline 6 1000 315, should you feel unfairly treated at any point of your purchase and do not be threatened by the staff of iNch Design Pte Ltd no matter how they will be treating you. DO NOT forgo your deposits even if it is a mere $100 only. The CASE officers or the registration officers at Small Claims will be able to accurately advise you especially when iNch Design Pte Ltd's latest complains are only dated in June 2011. CASE will spring in to more legal actions if more and more of us were to lodge any more complaints we may have with this particular iNch Design Pte Ltd firm and every victim of this firm since 1999 will be served of our eventual justice against this firm.   4. Sometimes a leopard never change it's spots, especially a old ugly and fat one. More astoundingly is that this fat one happens to be a big fat ugly liar also. I will let the laws governing Singapore to deal with these people who conduct unfair (trade/business transaction) practices outlined in the second schedule of the Consumer Protection (Fair Trading Act). In short, even if Janet Lim of iNch Design Pte Ltd said or do anything unreasonably, Justice will be served eventually. I ,on my own capacity, would certainly recommend that any common man in the street not to cause themselves distress by having any business dealing and monetary transactions with iNch Design Pte Ltd. If you felt bullied or cheated by anyone especially Janet Lim of iNch Design Pte Ltd, do approach CASE or commence legal action in the Small Claims Tribunal or other Courts against iNch Design Pte Ltd. If more and ore of us do lodge similar complaints or small claims against iNch Design Pte Ltd, then certainly Janet Lim will so not be able to victimize any unknowing consumers anymore. An Injunction will eventually be served on such dishones goods and service suppliers with an order by the court to restrain (stop) dishonest suppliers from engaging in, or further engaging in unfair practices.

The so called C*****N person you referred to introduced herself to me as the designer of iNch Design Pte Ltd. I can't help but assume that the ah soh is none other than that notoriously famously rude and unreasonable Janet Lim of iNch Design Pte Ltd. Anyway, I have officially lodged a small claims against iNch Design Pte Ltd at The Subordinate Courts of Singapore. I am sure I am not the first person who lodge any small claims against iNch Design Pte Ltd and I hope I am the last person. I certainly feel that We simply cannot have Janet Lim of iNch Design Pte Ltd continue to do unfair trading practices anymore. Please also read what others have write about iNch Design Pte Ltd at the other forums and be especially aware of this character known as Janet Lim of iNch Design Pte Ltd. Also whatever furniture they have or so~claimed to be "tailor-made" at iNch Design is also commonly available at other furniture shops and exhibitions as well. Do note that if you can get more reasonably priced furniture and better services elsewhere, why make yourself suffer by doing any business transaction with iNch Design Pte Ltd?

My parents and I got publicly insulted by this Janet Lim of Inch design pte ltd just this past Sunday. However, Thank God that I personally went down to CASE and now there is a CASE officer assisting me to deal with such unethical rude person of the name Janet Lim of Inch design Pte Ltd till there is a conclusion for me. No longer do i need to even talk to her. No way will i forgo my deposit no matter how little the monetary amount is. I am sure if more and more people lodge similar complaints or witnesses to unfair trade practice done by this Janet Lim of Inch design Pte Ltd, there will certainly be a form of legal justice for all the people victimized by her.   9. Dear Friend, I am sorry that i do not agree with you. If you pay a particular interior designer or an ID firm, there must be someone or an appointment to someone with responsibilities to attend to you in the event when you have enquiries and such. It is fortunate that I only chanced upon your online reply after i had gotten Consumers Association of Singapore (CASE) to represent me in dealing with Janet from Inch Design. My parents got unfair trading practice treatments from Janet Lim of Inch design, who even in public loudly and rudely claimed that she will only talk to any of us (my parents or me in this instance) when we made an phone appointment with her although we finally get to meet her at her furniture exhibition. All other three trips down to her shop and exhibition grounds only resulted to the staff present telling us that Janet Lim is not in town...Always Not in town? This seemed fishy...why still give her our business right? Is she a One-woman Show? a fly by night company? Proper reasoning with Janet Lim only resulted her talking rudely and loudly to us as if she is all out to cause embrassement to us in public, a ususal threat tatic used by unreasonable people) Thank God for CASE! We no longer need to deal with such unreasonably rude suppliers in the likes of Janet Lim from Inch Design. I urge all friends who felt they had been unfairly treated by such unethic suppliers to report their cases to CASE at Tel: 64631811 or email: sayit@case.org.sg. i leave my final note for all to come to a conclusion. Janet Lim Loudly claimed to me and my family that she is NOT the Boss of Inch Design and is not able to attend to our requests on that day and cannot make any on the spot decisions when we finally got to meet her face-to-face. Upon further querying her designer and sales staff, on another day, they admitted that she is the boss. What does this tell you about a person doing business? Do we still want to give our business to such a character?
  10. Dear Friend, My parents were met with similar situations as your and I have since taken over their case and reported to Consumers Association of Singapore (CASE). Do not forgo your Deposit! the officers at CASE may help you! If you still have that invoice issued by Inch Design or whatever that computer which that lady whom you had bad experiences dealing with, CASE can help you! I hope my note to you did not arrive too late. Regards.

Dear Friend, It's quite unsettling knowing that you have to face such treatment from Inch Design ...may i know that isn't it that for each case you need only go to the Small claim tribunal once and the judge will order Inch Desgin to compensate you once the order has been made in favor to you? Won't CASE intervene if this Inch Design has so much complaints lodged with the association? I hope you have no more further furniture woes from Inch Desgin. cheers
