  1. sometimes after reading bout the unpleasant incidents faced by RT forummers here regarding their irresponsible ids, contractors or bad-boys retailers such as this, i seriously feel angered as if was in their shoes. now to add insults to injuries, such events whenever brought up to CASE & thereby involving CASE's intervention, NOTHING beneficial to consumers can ever come out of it eventually my ques: are all employees of CASE merely volunteers & that all are non-salaried workers, incl its CEO? it seems the bunch of unmotivated souls there are either helpless & inefficient to resolve probs OR that they aren't been given enough 'authority' to set the record straight with evil doers it should be High Time that the govt steps in to revamp CASE in my opinion. with the easy awardings of 'CASE registered' titles so rampant, it does instil wrong sense of 'security' in the consumers' mind when approaching unscrupulous companies whose acts are totally concealed behind such wall hung certs. doesn't it make CASE one of the 'syndicates' that genuine complaints are not been addressed & wrong-doers severely dealt with?
  2. glad that all stuffs came on fine! 2 delivery guys came, one singaporean 'Leader' while the other a chinese national. friendly & efficient! takes gd + special care esp when carrying Heavy washer & fridge pass my living room into the service yard and kitchen respectively. purchased: 1) 40" lcd toshiba Leader Daniel was very professional & customer-orientated. he IS very good in his job (ie. mounting the tv up onto the wall) & does numerous checks with me patiently, to ensure the positioning is to my best viewing angle before fixing up the heavy item. offers good suggestion & after mounting is done, i thought he did Superbly Well - straight straight, centralised & all...GREAT JOB!!! seldom glued to tv but if i watch, a big screen of min 40" is desired though was hoping more for a 46" nvm, next round lor 2) phillips soundbar (old version model 6xxx something kinda) yup, knew ain't in the 'right era' but we agreed to get a 'home theatre system' just to play barney & spongebox for the kids & for me - FM stereo can liao lor so criteria is to be able to play dvd, vcd & FM, not expensive & able to accompany our old-fashioned LCD tv oh one more thing...the sub-woofer is like a b-l-o-o-d-y big black pail for slaughtering chickens or else it does resemble some kinda of donation box 3) LG fridge CLC402 seems bit too small when hibernate into the 'cave' amongst my kitchen cabinet. can accomodate a bike i think but home affairs minister wife said ok so can la 4) LG washer + dryer 7kg/4kg intended to get samsung wd8804cja but the stubborn price jus doesn't drop! in the end saw this at 799 so jus on la (good or not...hopefully dun see me post bout this washer again or it's likely to be no good) 5) 2 bronze standing fan 6) 1 panasonic rice cooker 7) 1 toyomi electric (flask) kettle 8) tefal iron - 'out of stock' GC called a day prior to delivery that stock boh liao. couldn't give explanation as to our ques: why was there one mountain load of stock at expo sales but comes to delivery, no more? ... but in the end we jus smile & is appreciative to this customer service lady that she is responsible & bold enough to inform us early total damages -2.88k round off
  3. u're welcome! yes, it's a gd buy with that kinda price tag, esp coming with foc delivery + installation the hydraulic is strong & after opening it, i tried to close it but was unable to! thought it was spoilt or something when i suddenly remb maybe without mattress, i may have to push it down much harder & with more strength & ...Bingo! true enough! thus it IS strong but with a coconut husk heavy kinda mattress...hmmm, i thought if seahorse's hydraulic can't do the job, doubt any other brands would be able to lor! dun worry la, guess it should be ok hopefully
  4. heehee...! it's called BTI, abbrev. actual name very long i forgotten liao. its shape is like a mini-donut, & used to place in area where water ponding is evident, eg. roof clutters, clogged drains, water tanks, etc. having it around provides 'food' for those mosquitoes' lauvae...which after consuming, stunts their growth & kills em eventually hope this helps
  5. Generally it's ok but oso depending on d amount u distribute. Or else try d 'donut' but hide it away lor Oh ya, water not for human or kitties' consumption though a little doesn't kill. Best don't try la
  6. One gd way second-ed by archenemy. Otherwise get granular baits fm nursery & spread over your pond lor! Creates an invisible oily surface deems unfit for ah aedes' population growth Oh suckers for 'cleaning up' ok, don't think they swim around for food (ie. Lauvae)...
  7. Heehee...! Extreme ends, yes do remember either ids' names or else, pics posted! Yup those paint eg. Skk Kinda or others doesn't come cheap. Let Sophia pay for all, including labour.
  8. Oh looks a mountain of 'burdens' for Sophia! On newly-erected wall, yes it's common to have hairline cracks right after. My friend who did up one experienced same thing & his mentioned solution: coat sealant paint over the surface after some weeks. Such paint got the kinda PU (polyurethane) membrane to seal & 'rubber up' cracklines so maybe if your prob persists, can try out see see? 2 cents' opinion
  9. Gd am blue! Well if disturbances r constantly strong, u could be right. However if it's a mild one & feature measuring est 900x900mm, there would be zones whereby mozzies deem appropriate to lay eggs. I'd seen one feature having such breedings many years back, in a particular showroom with access to outdoors! On the safe side, u may opt with your bro's advice or have some granular baits thrown in
  10. I thought it looks wonderful...particularly view fm your MBR's window! Yup do keep us posted w pics bro
  11. Hi yukishum & warmest welcome! Mine is absolutely fantastic I thought: 1) wooden base being sand-down to achieve its smooth finishing all round 2) strong structure, be it d wooden portions (storage as well as support for mattess) or those hydraulic systems 3) Leather part looks good n nicely wrapped at edges, ESP headboard area I like it v much n esp so when the pricing is pretty reasonable. But hor here comes the ironic part...we yet to sleep on it yet since not shifted in lor But fm my examination, it should be Good!!!
  12. Oh ok... Mine on the contrary is alrightz lei! Maybe voice down to heng~sway oso la!
  13. Hi gambaru! Don't worry it should be ok. I had an ikea's normal mirror in my living room for past 9.6yrs liao! It is still standing strong alone, though its wooden frames all around have already forsaken it! Mirror itself no prob so thought I might jus get for my new place's 2 bathrooms. It's a gamble though but d damages weren't that destructive I thought
  14. Hi ayukie! An amateur like myself would only compare prices against Big Boys, so may not be acurrate! Mine is a Mitsubishi inverter system 2 costing <$2200 whereas Big Boys selling @ >$2.6k averagely. U might wana use this as a gauge? Moreover I find em (my engaged aircons company) friendly & pretty efficient in terms of customer services as well as coordination work. Installation part - might not know bout any .5" pipings but understand there r certain specification installators need to adhere to in terms of types of pipings to be used (for certain particular models) else Mitsubishi may void their warranty in the event of malfunction...i could be wrong but anyone care to verify on this statement?? (heard fm my installators)
  15. For those who r seriously Patient enough, I thought Bro Chew would be a V Gd Wait! He is currently 'too busy' as he put across, but he Never compromises his workmanship...ever! One sure integrity + promise is: he Never sub-let his assignments to outsiders. Now for those who r pretty frustrated waiting for him in queue, make absolute sure it's worth his quality + workmanship!...+ the Wait but of cos! Gd stuffs don't come cheap, but bro chew's not cheapo, r reasonably priced + they're Great!!!

    Curtains

Bro chew & spouse are currently at my place doing up those curtains. Both of em separately (since one comes before the other) refused my Cash Payment UNTIL I'm Satisfised with their workmanship! Now they're all 'stuffs' up for d fear of dirtying my new flooring n such though I assured em 'boh worries' since I'll cleaned up after em, I felt now so Very paiseh!!! Meant they still do up the necessaries like....ALOT lor, beyond my expection!!! At this point of writing,..yes, bro chew even kpo to fix up one of my ikea shelving!!! Haha!!! Boh things to talk bout their services lor!!!
  18. having said all these, may i add that i do not condemn nor vouch for their workmanship...jus to be fair! Jack as i'd spoken with, seemed very approachable kinda of guy but of cos my 'drawback' as mentioned. see, different bosses conduct biz in ways deems rightful to em. my opinion as posted is a truthful account of what we experienced but do take it as a pinch of salt lor
  19. come this fri, 8 July'11 the Deliveries, i may then be able to relate my purchases fm last wkends' expo sales 1-3 July'11. my concern is the delivery part, since its kinda 'heng' or 'sway' for the 'right' delivery fellows to come 'present' our purchases! now me is the chin-chye type...or at least being an uncle helps with this kinda attitude in that i can't be too bothered with small hiccups. BUT should all small issues merged up or rather cropped up to become Big ones, there my long fuse would tripped & execute BIG Blow! so far fm my reno to my sourcings (& thereby purchases) of lightings, furnishings, accessories, etcssss....smooth! maybe Heaven thinketh i suffered enough since young & taketh pity on me by getting most operations gg but....hey, gain city's items yet to come so me cannot so ya-ya yet lor
  20. my rough calculation would be: nimm12, you got yourself a good catch! 2.7k for the popular mit inv sys3? happy for ya
  21. thought of that but during the 'auction', hdmi cable was supposed to be 'foc' lor! so when the kick off price starts, shouldn't it be as advertised '$499' or if otherwise, '$599 but with hdmi cable thrown in'? anyway its ok la! bought other stuffs as well & my wife thought all come out pretty ok (price wise) so me don't bother to write in my complaints la!
  22. second the mattresses' opinion (not mine lor) fm many relatives' reviews! boh issues! sofa - my relative-cum-nanny for my daughter jus got hers delivered last wk of june...it is GOOD! a 3 seater sofa with chrome legs X 4 (but of cos!) it wasn't pocketed-spring kind, but the bounce is excellent! leather kinda, brownish look, & perfect structure! she assured me before my delivery, that those guys are pretty nice & friendly! mine wasn't as friendly, but they did perfectly well a job for me!!! and that's all that i'm concerned of
  23. a storage heater would be great for u then! thinketh nothing of rest & be well-assured lor, heehee...!
  24. i originally wanted to engage JS to do up my kitchen cabinets as well as wardrobe. recommendation is fm my best frd who vouched for their vanity workmanship. however for me, as with discoburg's case, it was kinda pushing-back appointments after appointments, and does impress upon us that JS may not take our 'small' biz into their consideration. the time we called was start of may. after numerous postphoning of appts, we decided fate may not have allowed us to engage JS & we move on to our engaged id who did a perfect job for us on all areas. reading this thread, it seems to me JS is so very busy continuously for the past 1.5yrs! my introducer in the end, did admit to me that the Minus Point for Jack the boss is: you may have to chase hard since he can be very forgetful most times for promised appts! oh well...!
