Advice On How To Remove Black Line Between Laminate
tuasbird replied to jasonchua1982's topic in Home Deco
Hi Jason! Hope this prob has been cleared! If not, my humble suggestion would be to put up some nice or brightly-coloured decor to divert the attention away fm the line. Jus my 2 cents' -
Hey star, do drop by John Little jurong point only if u got time to spare & r nearby. They do carry various brightly-coloured culteries, cups, etc but don't expect a big section catered for this hor Still, it's worth a glance should u happen to shop there

Wa thanks star! Gona make plans to visit Taka liao then!

hi april_luv, if ya here - thanks for this info! jus been to choo chiat complex for a look see but a couple of shops there selling carpets were either not too keen to serve a t shirt + bermudas + slipper uncle like me or they too eager to 'chase me out' by makin irritating noises as if they'd jus finished a chilli padi eating competition. walkin out of the complex, i saw a shop selling carpets by the street & saw Ling Carpets...oh so they're located here! went in intending to jus browse around & go back home. but the moment i stepped in, the lady boss smiled politely & welcomed me to 'take your time, check it out here then come back when u'd decided..'! wow i thought this was a BIG contrast to those i jus patronised! a malay man later came & serve me, flipping carpets after carpets, explaining the tong-gua-tao-hu of carpets to me though i told him 'i'm jus looking around without any intend to buy, since spouse No Approval Given for Carpets'. it was Good service from Zach, & before/during the times i was in there, he was same time showing the other customer around as well. no Neglect me uncle lor in the end: bargained & got my new home a cash+carry solid light brown 140 x 200cm for $130. i told myself got to be some flaws or dirts though zach did put it out for me to examine (it was rolled & placed in a cover)before my purchase but Nope!... nice furry kinda, shaggy type. no 'flaws', no nothing bad! i think i got myself a gd deal (& dun get suspicious, m no employee nor son nor shareholder of this shop lor - Soon Pa no)!

oh another couple of: * The Good Thing located @ the newly-opened clementi mall, level 2. lotz of nice or brightly-coloured accessories, etc, u can find there but alas...pricey lor * xzqt - personally find the clocks reali nice but setback: heavy $$$ damages as usual
-
if in doubt, go with the flow lor couldn't be too far wrong with the common choice: ME starmex anyway was told that presently, the 'reliable' two in the market are Mitsubishi Electric & Daikin. IMHO, so long as your happy with the price, the installation ok, your aircons eventually perform well or the aircons company engaged is a responsible one on post-service ...think that is good good enough liao cheers!

hi stardust! contribution as follows: 1) the lifeshop - previously @ raffles city shopping centre, they do carry nice & vibrant decors, accessories, cutleries, etc. after they shifted to Jln Ampas (as website suggested), never pay visit liao 2) Lim's art & living - at holland shopping centre, up escalator to level 2, turn right. more of ancient/ oriental decors/ consoles, lamps, cushion covers, etc. 3) waterloo or the stretch behind Lucky Chinatown - many shops carrying vibrant accessories, decors, etc too. its an 'old' street but with quite a number of 'modern' shops around selling such (dun be surprised) this few i can think of lor cheers!

no...the lamp looks beautiful to me at least but add on the combination of the furnishing beneath + well-matched colours ...well it already costs me ten mins' of hard glance liao (believed it or not) m mesmerised by its overall beauty , lamps (both) inclusive cheers!

many thanks for the enlightening sharing joshlong! guess mine is a non-sensor tech like u mentioned. however it could oso due to 'wrong settings' too since we usually dump all the big pile (except silky or pure soft cotton materials kinda) of clothings into tumble drying. isn't that supposed to be the way?
-
hi mafacifa! my sis & my buddy are getting their keys in bout 2 months' time, respectively. this would be GREAT info!!! thanks
-
I set it at the minimum 30mins...which is thorough enough after a good 15-18hrs of breezing. 2 adults 2 children load. Exactly. I tried that years back (using separate dryer then) & realised shirts do strink over time. This had been confirmed by a frd later on so I dun proceed with the full programme now - washing followed by straight drying. Pinch of salt. May like to seek experts' confirmation?

if gift = angbao, then put in 50% X reno cost figure for his acknowledgement lor

currently at my old place m using samsung wd j12555. as stated: washing 8kg load whereas for drying, it's 3.5kg. if ya washing a load of more than 3.5kg, then m afraid the answer is 'yes'...manually you may have to, for the sake of its lifespan, take out those extras kg. i do exceed that kinda kgs most times but try not to go overboard in order to be kind on your wallet personal note: now presuming it's jus 3.5kg load of clothing i put out to wash, still i do not think it's advisable to carry on with tumble drying immediately (or follow thru the programme) since this may have clothing strunk by centimetres. wat i usually do is to hang em up for breezing after wash, then prior to the next washing routine (ie. following day) i would then have these tumble-dried

yet to shift into my new place but would be testing it out at least once sometimes this week

Aiyo...! Your bro ko-lian lor, work so hard still gana by his sis! But those workers should be taught to at least greet owner 1st to get acknowledgement, before anything else - Basic practice mah! Blue u should consider getting a pit bull terrier or a mastiff...etiquette lesson 1 for these ppl = -1 pound of flesh fm the arse

hahaha...! spending on necessaries, ok la...once in a 'purple' moon i actually chanced upon Courts' sales back in Jurong Point few weeks (late may or june week one) back selling @ the following unbelievable prices: 1) samsung wd8804 cja washer+dryer $799 2) Lg fridge 402clc $499 thought of getting em during then but thought i'll have em when nearer to date of reno completion. gd that GC sales came by & though item '2' more ex than during that Courts' sales, still ok la (esp since i heard fm relatives some 'rumours' bout their 'on sales' items)
