  1. So how bro? U did it? I just did my bedrooms in Laura Ashley laminates then came to Renotalk forum and saw this post. Well, wifey did not want that for the living room cos she said the groove lines hard to maintain. Compared to the lousy "PowerDeXXr" recommended by my ID, I must say I made the right choice. And maintenance was not that hard too. Just use the vacuum along the groove lines and all the dirt just gone. Very resistant against plaster dust too (see, my ID could not get his sub-contractors to do the works proper at 1 go and they had to keep returning and messing up my place), so I guess normal household usage should be excellent.
  2. Wah, your tiler very much like mine. My ID kept telling me how nice mosaic will look but his guys cannot even lay them properly. And see the ugly wall tiles joint lines. ID kept telling me he going to change the tiler, always end up with the same guys. Guess the ID's replies? "I spoke to the boss..thought he would go down and work it out on his own or change another group of guys." In the end, after testing my patience, his own run out and he said "Bad workmanship only what. I had not infringed on any HDB rules on safety." Any bros here can advice on how to attach pics?
  3. I just did my place and same thing. The ID said exactly the same thing! Maybe we got the same ID? As I was construction trained, I had an extensive argument with the ID (by right, they should have measured the laminates to size and cut properly in the factory but these guys nowadays used those China guys who are **** smart alecks; they paste a big strip of laminate and then used a file to just pare down the joint!!???!!! Of course, the silly backing line will show! Anyway, they should just stop using such lousy laminates!!) and later when he lost, he sent his carpentry guys to argue. In the end, they just used touched-up paint on the laminate joint lines!??!!
