Hi Sam Yes we do and I am not joking, within the next 5 years we cover wear and tear, provided it adhere to our our warranty terms which is clearly written down in black and white. As long as I think we fulfill what is written we owe nobody anything. This warranty topic is started by Jeanius based on his assumption. He knew nothing about our warranty terms, he strated to have doubts and attracted quite a number of fellow forumers. Everyone is sceptical about it, well, you cannot prove me otherwise, as I said only time will tell. Youhave been here long enough to know what is going on, I promise, you will see Executive Living does things differently.

Hi Sam I see, Yes and he is an excellent boss as well.
-
Hi Mr Shaikh Thank you , I hope that we will be able to bring you more value for money products.
-
Hi skylimit1979 We will be delievring the sofa back to you on the 19th November, Please feel free to call our office should you need anything from us. Thank you.
-
Hi jeanius Thank you , you are kind enough to reply for me.
-
Hi whisky I had taken note of your feedback, I will instruct our guys to rectify the problem for you.
-
Hi folwer In fact the reason why you are here in the forum is to find out more about companies in the furniture trade. You can see those reviews about EL. If we were to do something which compromises our trust and reliability, you will see bad reviews about us. I am sure you trusted what is being said here.
-
Hi Sam Thank you for your compliment. However i would like to reiterate that our warranty are bound by terms. Therefore, we treat each and every case individually. I hope that our fellow forummers will not have the misconception that what EL has to offer is too good to be true.
-
Hi folwer I think its a misunderstanding, haha, nevertheless, you got a very good deal brother. I am sure your sofa will serve you for many years to come.
-
Hi Folwer I think you made a mistake, in EL there was never an L shape sofa in full top grain asking for 7k. The most pricey sofa we sold here is a 2.8m full semi aniline sofa, with customisation, the client paid SGD 7999 for it. If you had bought an Italian sofa for lesser than 7k, I would say that its a very very good price. I cant think of anywhere selling Italian leather sofa at this price.

Hi sam So you have met him, so have your bird been talked out of it's tree?
-
Hi sam It seems that you are not convince that we will rectify the defects for at least 5 years. In fact we will go beyond that 5 year if the overall conditions allow us to do that. Look, try as I might I will talk about this warranty thing again. Our warranty on leather comes with terms that are clearly written out onthe warranty card itself, it doesn't says," if you leather is damaged come look for us and we will change it for you" That is why there are misconception over here in regards of our warranty. You are Sam, you should know better. We valued add our products with a 5 year warranty that is comprehensive enough to let our customers have a peace of mind. Of all people, you should know that there isn't any grounds for discussion on our warranty because none of you here knows what is written on it. I always thought that you are very objective in your dealings over here. I mentioned before, anyone who tries to make baseless accusations about EL, I vowed to defend it tooth and nail.
-
Hi folwer I think there are many factors which results in your decision to walk away from us. Your doubts in our 5 year warranty is just one of them and I believe its not one of the decisive factor. The main reason that you walked away is that you dont really fancy our sofa sets, or that the pricing might not be right for you. I believe if you do really like our sofa sets, coupled with what you read over here in the forum and if the price is right, you will be part of our family. I would like to say something about your last statement ...not all customer will jump in if the deal looks too good to be true. I think there is a misunderstanding here, we are selling sofa at reasonable price and not super low prices that you can barely imagine, we do not sell warranty cards, I dont understand what you meant by saying that the deal is too good to be true? Do you mean that for half leather sofa selling at 2k plus is too good to be true for you? Nevertheless, I hope that one day, sometime, Executive Living will have the privilege of having you as one of our customer. What I wrote over here is just my experience as a consumer mindset and my assumptions as I cannot read your mind. I might be wrong.

Hi Jeanius Thank you very much, I appreciate that and I hope you stick to your promised. I would like to see EL's thread in top 5 places everyday. If you can maintain it for 3 months, kudos to you. Like I mentioned earlier on, I will make time for you. Let me tell you something, a warranty card is not the basis of a business contract, the basis of a business contract are goods deliverable, of the right colour, size, model and quality with an agreed price. Warranty cards are a form of assurance from seller to buyer, its the basis of good after sales service. As consumers they want a peace of mind after spending on something they liked as well as the trust given to the company. The tax invoice is a form of contract, its states the payment terms, items sold. The warranty card is issue after the goods has been delivered. You tell me, contract first or deliver first? From what you have written above clearly shows the kind of depth you have in business. I am sure that you are not somebody who is running the company that you mentioned. However I do hope that you are the one running it because I will have one less credible opponent in this trade. No doubt most of them agree with you but trust me, they wont want to purchase anything that is not value for money. It has got nothing to do with warranty, warranty cards are to value add the products. I think you succeeded in something. I think I am teaching you too much things over here. I hope you learn well though.

Hi Jeanius You are a buyer of sofa, does that mean you are the purchaser for your company? In other words, you decide the products you think it suits your company and because of that you cannot reveal your company's name. In EL we are raising the standard of the furniture industry, what is the big hooha about 5 year warranty? I cannot please everybody, but what I can say is that I will not leave my customers in lurch. They will be getting what they paid for, including the 5 year warranty. I do not know what do you have in mind on our 5 year warranty with terms. When you dont even know what they are how can you comment? assumptions? presumptions? or what? you have psychic powers? Which companies issue warranty cards without terms? All I can say that its a very comprehensive coverage. Do you have a problem with that? I can assure you one thing which I can confidently say. Our customers bought sofa from us is because of our set up, product design, pricing factor and ultimately our service standards. The warranty is the last thing on their mind. How I wish we could just close a deal simply by dishing out the warranty cards. Your overly suspicious mind is making a fool out of you. May I know if folwer likes our sofa and the price is right and he refuse to buy it just because we offer a 5 year warranty? Does that mean that he will be looking for a company which doesnt offer warranty at all, bad customer service and the design and pricing are not right for him? No, there are many factors why he is not our customer. But that doesnt mean he wont be our customer? Maybe some years later he will be one of our customer again. That is why I say you have to look beyond things as they are. I think you as a veteran in this trade for more than a decade should have more knowledge than me. Lastly, maybe you would like to share with me how your company leverage from Executive Living business model? When you say something, please substantiate it with facts, figures, logic or metaphors. If not you are just making noise over here. By the way do you know what is the definition of Noise?

Hi fowler You as a customer has the rights if you do not believe something which is too good to be true, it really have depends on what kind of warranty terms the company offers. In el, we do not promise the stars and the moon. All our customers are presented with the warranty card before the deal is seal. I mean, non of our customer have a problem with our warranty until my friend starts to make an issue outta it.
-
Hi Jeanius I do not understand the term, " I am a buyer for leather sofas " maybe you can elaborate on that so that we can comprehend what you are tryng to put across to our fellow forummers. Till now, nobody has any problem with our 5 year warranty until you came out with some disagreement. You did that based on the fact that nobody gives 5 year surface warranty, only EL does, that makes you unhappy because you cannot do that for your own company. You had customers who visited you shop and because of your pricing and lack of warranty irates you so much that you wanted to cast doubts among those who supported us and those who wanted to support us. Your motive is to put EL in a bad light merely by disputing our leather and warranty terms which you do not even know what is stated inside. You based on your assumption and you start to ratter non stop like a headless fly with no sense of direction. That is the reason why I say that your business is greatly affected by Executive Living and that is the reason why you are feeling so bitter about it. In your posting, you claimed that you are in a different league, I agree and I can confidently say that you are definity not in the same league as EL, your league is somewhere much lower where you are still displaying sofas made from PU, PVC and bonded leather. Plesae correct me if I am wrong, I hope to hear from you soon.
-
Hi folwer Thank you for your encouragement, we do not leave our customers in lurch, those premium sofas do not offer surface warranty, by the way, our sofas are not from Italy, they are from Malaysia, and over here in Singapore, we have a workshop and a logistic centre to serve all our clients' needs.
-
Hi Sam Thank you for your information, I appreciate that. I was just wondering, what has it got to do with leather and warranty cards.
-
Hi robster Its nice to see you here again!
-
Hi sooks My colleague has arranged for a replacement set for you next tuesday. I hope that you will be satisfied with the new one.
-
Hi Sam You are very right in this case, I am sure you understand that a warranty doesnt cover negligence or abuse. A leather sofa, if maintained and used properly could easily last 5 years. When a defect is being reported, we will send our maintainence team to go for inspection. If its by nature wear and tear we will rectify the defects. I am sure you understand that we have the means to determine if its a bona fide defects. By the way, everything is written clearly in the warranty card itself and our customers understand that. We do not have to argue our way through, in some cases, we do things out of goodwill. In fact its quite pointless discussing about the warranty here because many of you do not know what does our warranty covers and I am not revealing its contents over here. There are somebody out there who assume things about our warranty and tries to discredit us. As I mentioned, I would like to fast forward it to 5 years later and by then one will know if what we are saying is just a fallacy.

Hi skylimit1979 I am sorry for the late reply, I think I have to let you know the answer tomorrow as the office is already closed.
-
Hi Daveyap I share your sorrows, I cannot comment on that. We do not give out warranty cards for nothing. In fact we do not even trust our deliver guys to pass it to our clients during delivery, we filled it up and mailed it out to them instead. Its a double edged sword, use it properly, you gain respect and trust however, you cannot eliminate those who will try to abuse it. If its a bona fide quality issue we will definitely hounor it.

If you need a ROC search, let me know, you need not buy I can email it to you and you can post it in the forum and make more noise. Like I said what you are saying is not in context, why do you need to do a ROC search before buying a sofa? Even if you did what difference does it makes? are you going to enter into a contract with EL that you need to do a ROC search? Its really interesting, I really wish to learn from you.
