  1. Haiz.. have to delay handover to next week cos there's too many outstanding things to fix... Living room Hollow Tiles Uneven patches on top of kitchen entrance Unvent patches below Aircon Main Gate has hole not filled on top Main door has holes not filled at lock area Kitchen Floor Stains Solid surface white paint stains Solid surface crack near powerpoint area Kitchen tiles gaps not filled up. Glass backing not up. Common Toilet Floor Stains Hollow wall tile Study Room Poor paint job Ceiling hooks not removed near window and near the light Guest Room Poor paint job Ceiling hooks not removed near window Curtain Pole not removed. MBR WIW edge at entrance not covered. Hollow Floor tile MBR Toilet Screen door not up Box up not up. Toilet floor tiles spoilt due to WC installation Water Pipe into Toilet not covered with Wall Tiles Towel Rack crooked. To all areas 3 Room Doors not replaced yet. All holes removed must be filled up, plastered and repainted. Found many hollow tiles in my Living room. Terence will be changing but he mentioned it may result in very slight uneveness as the replaced tiles may not flush perfectly... this got me thinking but what the heck, there's too many hollow tiles... Buckling would be a worse problem for me in the future.
  2. The new paints are supposed to be very washable, so maintenance wise will not be as bad. ME and wife don't foresee we will do a lot of cooking hence we didn't see the need to have the wall tiles. If you do a lot of cooking, you may want to have wall tiles or a very good hood to suck away the oily smoke from your cooking.
  3. Another bad news... Although Terence agreed to change doors, the design i originally chose is discontinued... Terence showed me the new catalogue and I had to choose another design.. Still using maple color but Walnut wood on both sides instead of just one side. Today Terence just informed they will complete by next Thurs. 2nd Chemical wash is this saturday. Renovation is finally ending... Can't wait...
  4. Nope. We didn't have wall tiles in our kitchen. There will be glass works on the side of the wall with the stove. The other side is just plastered wall. Using paint only. No pics to share currently. But having out kitchen using more white laminate makes our kitchen look bigger.
  5. Yar, the pipes would trap dirt. We will just have to clean it more often. But to hit the pipe until it gets ripped out should be quite rare. My old toilet was done this way, and 26 years, didn't see the pipes get ripped out. No, we didn't build valves along the piping. So if it burst, our only valve is the main valve .
  6. After a tiring day at work, me and my fiancee still made the effort to drop by our new place at 1030pm to check out the toilet installations. Was relieved that everything was in the correct location. MBR toilet Common Toilet

  10. Today is another shopping day!!! Bought this sofa at Crawford Italia. we didn't go to many places to look for sofa. As our requirement was just one that is 2.1m wide at most, half leather, soft and feels durable. Next, we went to Comfort Design. They make good replicas of Lush and some other brands and prices can be 50% cheaper. And there's a very rare 20% discount now at Comfort till End Dec. Quick go and grab your furnitures now!! Bought Alison sofa for our Study Room Bought 4 dining chairs and the famous Noguchi Table (replica) One office chair for our study room
  11. Kitchen with Solid Surface! Bosch Hob Franke undermount sink
  12. Yeah!! WIW with lights installed inside cabinets. If you notice before and after, the smaller pieces of wood were subsequently added. I did not plan to have lights inside the cabinets. My Fiancee's uncle who is also our electrician suggested that we install lights and cover it with those additional wood. Terence agreed to get his carpenters to provide the wood FOC!! Just a little mei zhong bu zu as the wood pieces were not flushed with the cabinets. There were slight misalignment but overall, I'm still very pleased with their workmanship.
  13. Table retail price is 799 and the Dressing Table should be 439. There's currently a YE sale. Furniture are subjected to a 10% discount!! hence table cost 720 and Dressing Table is 390. I'm still considering to buy some of their other furniture. They have an online catalog whichh is available from their Muji Singapore website.
  14. sorry to hear about your incident. Luckily you made the decision not to use him and cut losses at 150 only. i understand the feeling of broke. After getting the flat, it took me 6 more months to save up for the reno. Didn't want to take up reno loan and luckily, not rushing to move into the new flat.

  17. No flaws??? that's too good to be true.... and i was right. 1. When i opened the Shoe Cabinet, the door on the right will slam against the box up above my main door. As it's a hollow box up, it creates a large thud when the shoe cabinet door slams against it. How should i correct this? any cheap solution? 2. The cabinet door edge has been dented badly. Alamak! Either i get it replaced or i ask for discount!!! That said, i must really give credit to this team of carpenters. They are really fast, and their works are very good. The 3 Shoe cabinets' vertical doors are properly aligned when they are shut. I'm impressed how detailed they are. Same for my kitchen full HT cabinets. Good workmanship.
  18. I also got the trunking replaced in my sacrificial room ie Study Room. Remember how the fat trunking suddenly stops and connect to a small one.... I got it replaced with a fat trunking all the way down.. it looks so much better. Not an eye sore liao!! :sport-smiley-004:
  19. My WIW with doors!!! My mini TV console in my MBR.
  20. Today, I specially made a trip down to my new home after work to see the progress. So pleasantly surprised. My new home is finally taking shape.... From the entrance, i can see my feature wall. And my cove lights are up. My aircon is up. Felt relieved that my aircon can fit just nicely between the door and the Feature wall. Was really worried the measurements may screw up. I love the feel of the wood laminate. Behind, my Shoe cabinet! This is exactly like the 3D drawings! My Kitchen (oops, haven't bought lights for kitchen)
  21. Thanks!! The carpentry is really good. The drawers are aligned properly so it doesn't feel "broken". But it's a bit dark and I'm getting my uncle to install lights in the cabinets itself.
  22. Your reno's progress is very fast!!! and your carpentry works is good!
  23. This few days, the lights and air con units will also be installed. I have yet to buy the Hamburger lights for my kitchen, guest room, study room, toilets. And also still looking for my Dining lights and WIW lights
