"" go look for other IDs to compare prices and quality given la... there are alot of Gd ID recommended by ppl, but also gt alot fake ID posting here. i think business quite bad for those ppl then they engage ppl to keep promoting their company! hahaha

omg... why are there so much negative comments about them??? -
getting contractor to do up your house will definitly be less costly as compare to engaging IDs. Difference between contractor n ID i believe is Contractor - do what you ask for, not much advise given - dun hv after sales serivce - cheap - have to coordinate the project yourself - example if carpentry work screw up, they will just say its ur fault as they only do what they are told (this experience is gain after my uncle engage a contractor, dunno if apply to all) ID - some give ridiculous pricing - Provide u with 3d so that u can visualise the outcome - coordinate your project - anything wrong you can go after them - if carpentry work screw up, they will bear all cost n redo till you satisfied one more thing... i realise that those thread with company names are usually those who have past clients or existing one who are renovating with them... treads like "ID or contractor to recommend" i suspect that there are a numbers of ID pretending as past client and recommending their own company! Are business that bad that u need to do this??? To those ID pretending as client, IF your track records are clean, start a tread with your company name and ask for feedback... this way, we can better tell the reputation of the ID company just my 2cent of thoughts

i think colours had been around for quite a while and they also give "lifetime warranty" to their project. my fren signed their contract with them too. the sales guy if i not wrong was Willy. Very nice guy and was always willing to share his ideas. my fren told me that there is once, they requested to meet him at 11pm (due to working late) to discuss about their quote! i think most of those sales person will turn u down but Willy turn up n wait till 11.30pm as they were late!! no complain and even smiling!! i think the boss must be very lucky to have staff like this!! poor chap!! haha eventually my frens also sign with colours because they too felt most comfortable with, reasonable price and most importantly is that communication was never a prob! -
its quite hard to look for gd contractor as most of them only do what they are told and seldom advising you on the disadvantages that ur design might bring. With a little bit of $, i felt that getting a ID would be more adviseable as you can chase after then in future if there is any problem. (heard there is a ID which give "life time warranty" to their projects) *just my 2cents of advise* its good to invest in a gd lighting as it will be part of the attraction when people come to your place. Most of these lighting are usually warm lighting (yellow). maybe you can choose to do a L box to install cove lighting and downlights to use them during normal day.
-
agreed with collins. if you require cove lighting to be install, i believe it need as least 150mm thick. actually if you are afraif that the whole house ceiling will look very look, u might wanna do up L-box rather than a false ceiling at so many areas! *just my 2cents of advise*

Custom Built Tv Console With Backing
harleybrian83 replied to adrian01's topic in Living, Dining & Storage
laminate feature wall is really quite outdated already. my frens was saying their ID recommend them to use cushion as feature wall backing and the drawing turns out quite nice! maybe u can consider! haha. -
yeah alot of restriction with the bomb shelter... wat a waste of usable space
-
agreed with april_luv... my previous house had limited space and we feel so squeeze everytime we had dinner!!! hardly can move around!!
