Angel! BP is not gas but baking powder Pandan paste can get from ntuc, cold storage or any baking stores like phoon huat.

You should also have a chat with some of the neighbours not just to find out if there is anything wrong with the unit, but also to suss out your future neighbours... I have 2 indian families flanking on either side as neighbours tho mine is a corner unit (its a U shaped block). Every evening there will be ding ding ding without fail.. for maybe abt 10 to 15 mins? at first I thought what.. ice cream man izzit.. then I realised they were performing prayers.. abit noisy, but didn't really mind it after hearing it a few times, plus i like to the smell of the sandalwood they use.. I feel it purify my home too hahaha One thing I like tho is the fact most of us open our main doors, and said hello to each other when we pass by. It also does help that I stuff them with lots of home made cakes.

You should check around with the neighbours and look for 'signs' of loan shark presence e.g. like freshly painted spots on the walls and please do walk up and down a few levels to check it out. When I was house hunting a while back, I went to this unit and noticed something odd. The unit seem quite bare, even the bedrooms only have mattresses. Only the man of the house was around. The agent revealed that it was a divorce case, hence the unit is put on the market. I was looking up and down and then I noticed a CCTV at the main entrance. It's not those fake ones, the cctv has wires connected into the house. My own agent didn't even realised that. I asked my agent to go ask the seller's agent. Still got cheek to say the ex wife was a security guard, so they had previously bought it to 'test'. Acting on a hunch, we pretended to check out the surroundings and knocked on one of the neighbours on the far side. The uncle was very nice, without a word, he put up his hand and waved it sideways and shook his head as well and quietly mouthed the word 'AH LONG'. We met this uncle later at the void deck as we were discussing this unit, and he came up to me and told me this unit was plagued by loan sharks for some time already, so better don't buy it. Wahhh, heng ah..... can you imagine having a newly renovated home and being visited by ah longs regularly? I bet they would give lots of presents like black/red paint, graffitis etc.. I think if you are kind hearted, you can consider allowing them to stay 1 more mth. However, to make things 'proper', you can always reject such request but at the risk of losing this unit la... When I finally sold my unit, I requested the buyer to allow me to stay there with me paying rent because at that time, my next unit is not yet available to hand over keys. She refused and I took it in my stride. It's my own problem that I got no where to stay after the unit was sold to her, so I should be the one solving the problem. But at least I tried asking.

Here's the recipe:- Pandan Chiffon Cake 100g top flour (think i will use plain flour) 1 tsp BP 1 tsp pandan paste 100ml coconut milk 35ml/g corn oil 1/4 tsp green colouring 5 egg whites 4 egg yolks 1/4 cream of tartar 100g castor sugar pinch of salt Instructions a) Preheat oven to 170 deg c b) Prepare Mixture A Mix pandan paste to coconut milkAdd yolks, 50g sugar, oil, colouring and salt to coconut mixture. mix well using hand whisk.Sift flour and BP and fold into mixture. Set aside.c) Prepare Mixture B Beat egg whites and cream of tartar at high speed until foamy. Add remaining 50g sugar and beat till stiff.d) Combine Add 1/3 mixture B to A and mix using hand whisk (this becomes mixture C)Slow fold in mixture C into the remaining 2/3 mixture BPour mixture into ungreased 18cm chiffon cake tin and bake for abt 50 minsTurn tin over on cake rack to cool before loosening cake

2nd attempt and finally came out in one peice!!

My pandan cake hahaha Got impatient and didn't wait for it to cool, and tried to shake it out of the **** mold In the end, i had to cut the cake into various pieces, not as fluffy, but still very tasty~

Idea leh! later kenna suffocated by its tentacles while feeding it...

ahh i baked the pandan chiffon liao, a few mistakes and then the whole cake didn't come out as planned from the tin hahahaha Feedback: 1) Sweetness just right 2) Not fluffy enough 3) Put the mold in the oven and forgot to set the timer hahaha i had to agar agar the time.. came out a little bit undercooked, but still tasty : )
