  6. ya agreed that carpentry work is the least time consuming, but if they have problem in production, then cannot come install either.. thats what happened to me... all the cabinets only up the 'kak'/ shell... i had to delay everything, some furniture cannot reschedule so had to be delivered and suffered all the dust while the carpentry comes in.. drilling.. sawing... faintz.. dust everywhere.. basket

Well, I wanted a coral reef, but too ex to maintain.. simi chiller la... zzzz We will be rearing arrowana (is it spelt this way? yesterday my bro nearly spat out his rice when I pronounced as arroguaanaaa) and another 2 types of fish I think (I lost interest ever since my bro rolled his eyes on my jelly fish suggestion) hahaha

  13. Thanks for dropping by Incubator! Ahhhhhh the secret is .... 1) Muscles 2) Water 3) Green rough side of the Scotch sponge (ok ok, don't need to be branded as long as rough side but please dont use sand paper) 4) CIF 5) Scrub, Scrub, Scrub <--- If it helps, be a little drunk.
  14. I must not tell you that everyone else around you is not normal.. i must not.. hahas fish market .. except buying very expensive ikan... a very big decision ... The disruptions are inevitable even if you decide not to rent a place... still got to uproot yrselves, pack, move, unpack.. argghhh just that u got to do 1 more time if u rent a place. But I think in the long run, still better for you if you are not in a hurry to get a new place. And since you are a home maker (sorta) now, you can afford to take your time getting ready the new place (i.e. after you have successful bought your fish lah) Although I didn't face your exact dilemna about waiting out the COV vs rental. I did have to rent a place because both buyer and seller played me out. The buyer left no room to allow me to stay longer (even though I wanted to pay rent), and the seller could not let me early renovate as promised before and a delay in my renovations. So I had to split 3ways: humans to rented apt, majority of the barangs to storage, pets (they are like my children so imagine separating from them arggghh) to boarding. Moving everything back took some coordination work, friend's help, movers costs but every puzzle is now back together again
  15. Hi Incubator, Welcome to RT. Not sure if I am reading your content correctly, but it seems that you have been looking for a new place since 2009 but yet to sell the current one yet? If staying with your in-laws (or parents) is out of the question, then renting a unit is a good idea if your finances permit:- 1) Privacy 2) Take your time to find your dream home I don't think you should make yr head explode thinking about the costs of waiting out the COV vs rentals. Why don't think of it this way: that you will have ample time to look for 'The One'?
  16. The rented place in Fernvale which I was staying for 2 months had the sofa 'side by side' against the wall.. its just so weird, imagine your guests come visiting and they all sitting in a row... a funny sight... This arrangement seems the most ideal, but I do see your point of smaller space. Perhaps have them closer each other and put a nice lamp/side table/plant at the 'corner gap' where both sofas meet? Very plush sofas btw
  17. Hi Hafiizh! Thank you for your compliments! Yes, I soooooooooo resisted buying a painting for the living and dining walls.. I think this simplistic look is much nicer and soothing to the eye. Can't agree more with the furniture selection comment. Love my Gobi Sofa! The long 3 seater is actually a sofa bed. The back of the 1 seater can be rotated to recline even further for snoozing .. Laptop table is so versatile... portable too! hehehe Thats lazy people furniture for ya...
  18. Gooooooooooooood morning Roy!! and thank you for your compliments! Glad you like it! Well, not sure any of you noticed but I haven't post any bedroom pictures.. my bro's room is perpetually looking like a hurricane just swept through..
  19. Wa faint! Are you gonna spend your time wiping mirrors? hehehehe I love the balcony tiles.. rustic! Are you gonna keep them?
  20. Thank you stardust205! Woman's curves those are
  21. Those chairs havent really been put to good use yet, so far just for display.. the only time we sat on them was to simulate steamboat (remember that episode? lol) They came nicely varnished, bottom smooth... so hopefully fingers crossed, will be able to tong for awhile... haha
