Hi, has anyone bought the Pragel worktop from IKEA? We realised that the width is too long and doesn't fit into the space that we wanted it to be. We are DIY-ing this ourselves so wondering if we can saw the worktop and any carpenter to recommend for sawing? It's just a very simple job and we've enquired with IKEA and they don't do sawing...

I also don't wana to be racist but I discovered that most ppl who hang their clothes outside are malays and indians...their religion doesn't allow them to hang clothes inside the house or what?!? -

Look on the bright side, at least you have a table to tide you over for your housewarming first...keep bugging them to send you the right stuff....i think it's way too ridiculous to wait so long for the delivery and when delivery comes, the wrong stuff is sent....I would have gone down to make a big big hoo ha already...
-
Don't pay the remainder, use the existing table first until they replace this with the correct one for you, at least you still have the table for your housewarming. They are ridiculous...

Haha same lah....since i've witnessed most kampong-ians are cum rubbish collectors too... Oh wah Jaren....your area really very bad....complain TC or drag your MP go look see look see!! Can't stand it leh... -
This I agree too! haha....reading interior decor mags issue after issue somehow makes me a mini ID too even though I engaged an ID. What the contractor or ID can do for you is to create an empty shell, it's up to you to fill in the flesh to make your house look more wholesome! Ultimately, it's the soft furnishings that completes the entire look, can't just rely on carpentry works alone.

Agree. With built-ins, you can utilise wasted spaces like corners or recessed areas and turn them into something more useful like extra storage or display space. I don't encourage too much built-ins though. Like what HSH21 said, when you decide to shift house later on, you can't bring the built-ins with you. Only do built-ins unless absolutely necessary like hiding odd corners or creating extra storage or minimising space that can't be achieved with off-the-shelf furniture.

Actually not bad liao lah....our area still considered many places to eat...don't have to travel very far to find food or buy groceries or essentials....your blocks there also got a mini mart right? So considered quite convenient liao...just a bit ulu nia...mai hiam boey pai lah....
