HDB officer just called me to inform me that they have approved my permit le!!!! I SO HAPPY!!! RENO STARTING SOON!!!!

Haiz...you are in the same predicament as me. I also wrote in to complain saying that any delay is a cost to us home owners. First, my key collection was dragged for more than 3months when it's supposed to be WIS, shd be very fast, then now this! So sick of waiting...the officer yest had told me that he already expedite the process and will approve yest or today. Till now, I still haven't heard from my ID that it's approved already! I duno when my reno can start!! From the day of applying flat to collecting keys to reno date till now already 7 months and my reno now supposedly to start now cannot start! I am so upset and fed up.

Wow....that is way too early...you still have one year more....suggest you wait till nearer your key collection date then search cos price now might be adjusted because of GST change in July...and along the way, you might decide to want this and that, the quotation and design might hv to be revised many many times.....quite a hassle

If you getting resale flat, then that 30k is considered grant. Not sure abt resale flat but for new flats, you can defer submitting ur ROM cert. Just write in to your HDB branch officer to defer giving them reasons or providing them any invoice to show that you have decided on your ROM date. Usually they will allow cos HDB cannot force you to get married. We deferred for 6 months, HDB asked us to provide them evidence but we until now haven't give and they nvr chase....haha..

I wrote to HDB to ask them to expedite the process and they called me back to clarify what is taking them so long. Apparently, they wanted my ID to amend the drawings cos not correct. My ID informed me this is the 3rd time they submitted the amendments to them already. HDB said they will expedite and will approve today or tomorrow.....haiz! Waited for so long for reno to start then now about time le, cannot start!! Very bek chek...... !! !!

Qingming is in mid april right? Frankly speaking, I am also quite concerned if it's ok that reno works is ongoing during this time.

My ID just informed me that the HDB permit hasn't been approved despite having him applied it 2 weeks ago. I am only doing one hacking work, which is half a kitchen wall to replace the top portion with glass and the other side of the wall hacked to inclucde a glass door. As far as I'm aware, these are not structural beams nor will it affect the building structure. The HDB officer told my ID that they are pending the approval from engineer and architect. Now my reno schedule is being delayed again. It was supposed to start next week. Frankly speaking, I'm already v tired abt the whole reno thing. After waiting for so long to start the reno, HDB still hasn't approved the reno works and we can't go ahead. Can I know how long they will usually take to approve? Will calling them to chase them help?! Many thanks for advice!!

If fertility check, shd do it when u plan to have kids right? By blood disorder, what do you mean? Actually i've nvr heard of pre-marital check-up....like what Zeny said, if all is not well, then marriage is called off? Like employment contract? Fail medical check-up then cannot be employed?!?!

Which salon u enquire? Normally if you sign up facial package, they will throw in eye treatment free...bargain hard with them and ask them what else they can throw in..and whether 10 sessions can be extended to 12.

Haha this i agree....some ppl really have to depend on make-up....had a classmate who used to put v heavy make-up to sch...then one day she didn't put, i thought i saw ghost....too much make-up skin cannot breathe and pores get clogged too....

The eye treatment ah....they put the eye serum around your eye areas then use machine to massage the serum in...then after that, they will put a warm eye mask.....they claimed to reduce dark eye circles and puffiness....
