That's a steam iron. It is only good for ironing clothes that doesn't require any line, e.g. t shirt, knitted top. For men's shirts, you can't use that, cos no line on the sleeves....doesn't look smart...

My grandfather used to use this method too...cos last time there were always alot of flies hovering around my light, my grandfather just filled a pail with water and held it under the flies and voila! after some time, all of them committed suicide. Hi clearme, can I ask you what did your contractor/ID use to seal up the aircon opening? I had an aircon opening just like yours too and my ID said to box up, which will protrude out a little, that will need extra cost. But from what I see from your case, it's just simply just sealing it with a layer of coating? May I know what that coating was?

Called them once when I saw their advert in the papers to check out the price of Ariston 30L storage heater. Wah Korea, you have a good hubby who is willing to splurge on you, but not all guys are like that generous mah. It's ok to be prudent with $$ but have to be within reasonable means. Some ppl regard money as quite a big deal so that $200 might already mean frivolous spending by her hubby. Actually guys are like that lah, we spend hundreds of dollars, they grumble grumble and say we waste money, then they themselves dun even blink an eye when spending thousands of dollars on gadgets. It's a double-standard world. But Chamia, I do agree that perhaps both of you shd go for marriage counselling. Long-term wise, it's not healthy to kp everything broiled up within. Yes i agree that since we are PAYING for our reno, we have every right to demand certain things...but too late le lah...we dun wana go and think abt the reno anymore so just leave it as it is lor....i had wanted a part of my ceiling painted in another colour to create that kind of "floating" effect.....we wouldn't want to do it for the entire ceiling. I agree with you that if the whole ceiling is painted dark, there will be a "suppressed" feeling...

ID told us that ceiling shd be in white cos make your ceiling appear higher...but i think a few areas with coloured ceiling is quite visually stunning.....haiz....too bad he couldn't do it....too practical ID

Wow! Lightings really make a lot of diff! Nice! U had your ceiling in dark grey too? I had wanted to paint my ceiling in a diff colour cos I think it has a very strong visual effect when ceiling is in a diff colour..adds more dimension to your house...unfortunately my ID couldn't do it saying that the ceiling paint is standard white and cannot order a small paint just to paint the ceiling.... May I know which dark grey you used? Love your cream walls too!

Yupz....but the spray paint for floor tiles will only start after my reno handover cos david said can help us touch up any chipped tiles from the process of installing the carpentry. The kind of spray for floor tiles are matt, non-slip.

compared to other companies like newkoat, is considered cheap liao.....cos poh chin charges a lump sum while many others that i've sourced charged by per sq ft....so bo hua....if u compare the pricing around, u will find that poh chin is still the cheapest. the spray paint for my toilets and kitchen wall tiles are now complete.....love the effect of matt wall tiles in my toilets......

For new flat, can defer the ROM cert. We deferred for 9 months...not sure abt resale flat...until now haven't ROM Wah korea, u good....my rom, reno and house come together.....buzy until dizzy liao.... Wah so many 1980's babies here...me 81...

I think what your colleague meant was having a feature wall with a tic tac door, very common to hide the storeroom door or bomb shelter door.
