I am not blocking the exit lah...just that my back is facing the stupid exit....everytime fire alarm go off, i will almost go deaf.....in case of fire, the first one to escape the building must be me liao lah, nobody else.

My back is directly facing the fire exit with the EXIT sign very big above. I also very sianz....what's the implication?? I only know it's no good but not sure what exactly it implies....any remedy for it??

Hi, need urgent advice! 1) I have used red high gloss laminate for my kitchen cabinets and the finishing seems very uneven. According to my ID, the reason is because plywood's surface is very uneven unlike MDF board, so when the laminate goes over it, it will look uneven and bumpy too. Since my cabinets are high gloss, the uneven-ness is aggravated. Can anyone advise if what my ID said is true???? 2) I'm also using black high gloss for my tv feature wall at LR. And i noticed that there is a very obvious joint line...reason the carpenter gave was because laminate doesn't come in such a big piece, max is only 48cm whereas mine is 50cm so what they did was to get two laminates and paste them together, that's why can see the joint line....is that the case?!?! Can anyone advise me on these 2 issues?? Abit upset with the way the laminates are being done....

I didn't know that there was such an option until I came across this forum too....now my toilet looks much brighter and we don't have to live with HDB's colours....As for durability, I suppose for the first few years shd hv no problem...then again, everything deteriorates over time...you can ask your ID if he does the spray paint....think David uses epoxy paint for the wall tiles and a thicker coat of paint for the floors.. Thanks! Nope, don't have to remove anything....they will come and wrap everything up before they start to spray so you can be sure the paint won't get on the toilet bowl, vanity etc etc.

Would advise you not to do cabinets under window....if it rains, your cabinets can get flooded inside, damaging all your stuff...

Thanks! We abhored the HDB colours too....totally cannot make it. I'm not too sure if can use bleach solution to wash it....but accordingly to the spray paint guy, it won't stain so easily and stains can easily be wiped off so i dun foresee any hard scrubbing in the immediate term. But now that you have raised this, I think i better check with him how to wash if dirty.... Actually if HDB had given us white toilet tiles and WC, we probably won't change anything....they happy, we happy, everybody happy!!

I agree with you. Length of relationship does not equate stability and happiness. Ppl tend to generalise. Sometimes when I think of him, I feel so sian. Many times just feel like breaking out of the relationship and my bf is the passive kind one, everything okok...mayb one day i suggest break up, he will also say ok... . See how ba...hopefully I can find enlightenment
