ABS trimming is the rounded capping at the joint edge between two pieces of laminate/plywood. Usually they are used on cabinet doors like kitchen and wardrobe doors where there are alot of opening and closing. ABS trimming ensures that the laminates do not peel off easily over time... Not sure what veneer trimming is though....but I figured it serves the same purpose as ABS trimming..

My budget is excl furniture...incl furniture, my budget is about 32K lor....now very hard to stick to budget liao lah....haiz.... For me, I check the painting lor...like not even, or smudge here smudge there....then need to ask them to touch up....after they touched up, must make sure you cannot see one patch one patch....then your flooring, any chipped off tiles....if got wooden flooring...check the capping....my platform the joint edges came off lor...have to ask them to repair.....then your wardrobe...got screw properly or not.....those very detailed checks lor.....rectify early better than late mah...wait all finish liao then ask them back think a bit the hard... Nope...did not engage newkoat cos their pricing more expensive...mine is from poh chin....i can pm you the contact if you want.... My lightings ah...all from different places leh...went to Arcade lightings, Dreams lights and Vlux.....but got my chandelier from Dreams lights.... The colour of my lights are warm white....it's neither too yellowish not whitish.... Wow xinyi_reiko, having your housewarming so fast ah? Congrats!! Duno when then i can have mine leh...now need to balek save up again for furniture...think will be a long time before i can invite ppl over...sob sob...and my reno now is 2 months plus liao leh...still pending defects.. hope by this week can clear everything...sob sob!

Our budget was only 20K...actually we overshot by a lot liao....along the way, greedy, added a lot of things.... houewarming ah....don't think so fast leh...furniture haven't come in then we didn't plan to move in so fast....wanted to make the house swee swee before moving in...like that see arleady more shiok....haha... When is your reno expected to handover?

Hihi....yup will be putting my sofa on the platform....the wallpaper costs $400 for my MBR and $600 for the bomb shelter area...not sure how big both walls are cos my ID just quoted me a lump sum !!

I asked the painter and my ID and they all said the paint won't adhere to the aluminium frame...anyway we got curtains to cover them later so not a big problem.... Ya cos our kitchen too tiny to have door...that time very headache abt this cos duno where to swing the door...sliding door also look weird ...in the end gave up the door lor....sob.... Cos my passageway very narrow...if do feature wall to cover it, my passageway left little bit nia....anyway, I dun like the idea of doing a feature wall with door that leads to another door...I like the wall paper effect...

Linda, I understand your frustration...me too looking fwd to my spray paint for all my floor tiles cos finally finishing soon and very excited to see how the final result would be like with the wall colour combined....but when i first laid eyes on it, i was like ...wasn't what i expected at all! now we had to re-do the colour cos i cannot bring myself to accept that colour.....hate double work too....hate to rewind...i only like to fast forward.... Dun worry...since your ID has promised to change, i'm sure the result will be worth the wait

When I dress up, it's for my fiance. I don't care whether ppl look or not but I dress up just for his eyes only....when he says, "You look good today", it makes my day and I feel good....I totally agree with whiteivory's saying that when you feel good, you look good and vice versa. I'm lucky that my fiance doesn't restrict what I wear. He doesn't like ppl to stare though and gets pissed off with ppl who stare but I quite like this protective side of him....makes me feel that I'm his and his alone.

Ya it's very common in kids...my 7yr old nephew has asthma now too....he has to rely sometimes on inhaler when it gets bad....my fiance used to have asthma when he was a kid....but outgrew it when he gets older....don't worry too much, it's not an unusual. I agree with yoongnf that kids need to exercise more and parents shouldn't be over-protective of their kids when it comes to their health...get them up and running would do more good than harm. If condition is very serious, just need to avoid vigorous exercising. Normal exercise shd be ok.

Ehh I am not too sure about plastering on tiles itself leh..haven't heard of that....actually why need to plaster the tiles har? Even for epoxy paint, they also need to apply sealant...

Plastering is different from epoxy painting leh...plastering is usually done to make the wall smoother...after plastering, you still got to paint your wall....also, plastering can only be done on walls and not tiles...epoxy spray paint is spraying on tiles and not walls....both serves entirely different purposes

Mine also pending some defects to settle lor....ya lor v sian one hor....now that reno almost finished le, though it's just pending few days to rectify defects, that few days seem like eternity..... Have just finished my spray paint floor tiles too....not satisfied cos colour v ugly....haiz....hv to fork out $$ to re-spray again.... !! Will show pics once everything swee swee.... Aiyoh how come delay?? They nvr inform u first ah?? the sofa you paid how many percent deposit?? But even if cancel the deal, deposit also cannot be refunded right?? I paid 50% deposit leh..
