  1. Precisely lor....it's about consideration...but what's the use of us being considerate to others when others simply take advantage of it? Actually the smoke smell will stay on fabrics and the worse things that absorb the smell are the curtains....so imagine u come home everyday, even if your neighbours did not burn the papers, your house still reek the smell of smoke? Sometimes when we leave the house, we do leave the windows slightly open to allow ventilation. I for one, don't like to close all my windows cos if you don't air your house, there will be a smell. So with these kind of neighbours, you are forced to go against your routine...you are forced to shut tight your windows...where is the consideration here? I believe none of us are petty beings who just pick on little things to complain...we all have a certain amount of tolerance for inconsideration...sometimes ppl just cross the line...that's when your patience reaches its limit...
  2. Oh it's allowed ah? But it's so dangerous leh...the hougang incident shd make the relevant authorities step up on such measures leh....no burning of incense papers outside flat, only can burn it downstairs....and it's so inconsiderate leh...some ppl have no sense of consideration for other ppl one... Maybe use 2 bins can finish burning faster?
  3. Your case also quite jia lat....ya lor...SB suay to have this kind of ppl as neighbours...but are they allowed to burn incense papers outside their flat?? I thought must burn at the grass patch downstairs cos might cause fire?

    Diy Wall Decals

Hi, thinking of DIY-ing wall decals myself. Anyone done this before? What are the materials required?
  5. Ya lor agree...cos this is the first time most of us are getting a flat...so some things still gong gong one...but after this experience, the next time buy stuff for your house, we know where to get and where not to get already...
  6. That's a good idea! Currently, I'm putting them at the lowest tier of my storeroom racks....kinda din dey...shall move it to the closets....heh heh...
  7. So far, we haven't got to the point where our neighbours make us explode..already resigned to fact that no matter how much you say, they are still gonna air their laundry outside...at most they only shift to their side..if one day we find them airing them beside our door due to some stupid reason again like "oh cos raining so have to shift to your side for the time being", we will just tell them off....raining can give you excuse to air laundry at our side meh?? Then next time raining can we stay in your house since our side sometimes kena rain water also?? Basket...
  8. Beetle has got this function?? If yes then I wana consider buying too...
  9. Sure! Will take some pics this weekend!
  10. I have a chandelier at home and mine is 6 bulbs...i find it hot too when i sat under the lighting....and mine is supposed to be energy savings bulb too....
  11. I went to Daco Marketing...they got the vases we like...we receed the other shops but didn't find any to our fancy...but i discovered though they were selling similar items, the price difference between each shop for same item is quite great hor...
  12. Hihi sumobear, thanks for your recommendation! I went to concourse today with my hubby during lunch and we indeed found the vases that we like! And cheap too! Just a bit regret buying my twigs from Lifestorey....costs us over $50 for 6 big twigs when I can find one pack at $6.90 at concourse!! Heart pain..very pain... Love the artifical plants and flowers there too...looked so real....might contemplate going back for artificial plants once we've settled in our home....
  13. Ya but at least I know I got send mah...I'm very bad at lying one...hehe... Hm...but imagine you already used the item for one year plus liao then suddenly got problem, you date today then send guarantee card over, they come and look at your item then noticed that the item looks quite used liao...how will they believe you just bought it leh?
  14. I got send leh....even for very small items like toaster i also send...cos u nvr know.... I also date it today then send out even though the item was bought like weeks ago, agree that they have no way of verifying your purchase date unless you show the receipt...but even if they asked, you can just say lost the receipt liao...anyway got send warranty card means the item is covered under the warranty period liao....the warranty card nvr state "must be accompanied with receipt" mah....as long as your date of purchase doesn't exceed the requirement to send in, then just send lor... What I'm worried is that if we don't send out the card, any choy choy dong gua dou fu happens during that warranty period, you cannot claim repair.
  15. Was reading the threads in the forum until got nothing to read then came in here to look see look see about the buddha's tooth...then realised the ongoing debate looks so much more interesting...couldn't help but chup in one leg.... Storeberry, I empathise with you, it's so agonising dealing with ppl with no integrity...even if $4 nia, give this kinda ppl I also boey gam wan...I believe if you are sincere in selling your stuff, you must be sincere to your buyer also....not go MIA when asked to refund the overcharged difference...and I find it ridiculous that a simple drop-cheque task can drag until now still not done...as for interbank trf, i understand cos some banks charge an admin fee for interbank trfs. but drop cheque?!? Like that no integrity how to deal?? I noticed he has got alot of stuff to sell, where to find so many stuff to sell har?? I also want to sell leh....even wallpapers also can sell ah?!?
  16. Kinda agree...my hubby said men are all visual creatures...
  17. Hmm....I suspect so lor...even if you asked them to kp the laundry in for your housewarming, they will still take out again after that....back to square one...unless you tell them specifically that you mind their laundry hindering you, it's just pretty much living with it lor...
  18. Ya lor...not we narrow minded just that it's very uncomfortable walking past ppl's laundry and seeing them the first thing when u open the door.....some more it's really fire hazard lor.....I dun really want to smile at them too but they are too near us....dun smile next time got problem they won't notify us....so grit my teeth and smile...but curse and swear inside the heart.....haha...
  19. No lah mine is already like that lor...my hubby also very the hao ren...they said only shift the clothes to THEIR side NOT INSIDE THEIR HOUSE (which faces our main door ) Hubby just thank them...he said that's the best that they can do lah...he said anyway they already took action liao...my hubby nvr explained to them that we don't like their laundry facing our door....had an argument with my hubby cos of that..sianz..
  20. Hahaha...the die hard laundry fan very funny...!! Karen, i think unless you talk to them about it, there's pretty nothing much you can do except to live with it....cos u nvr say, they might think that everyone's ok with their laundry hanging outside....i think unless they are very aggressive ppl, most ppl would feel pai seh when u tell them nicely...at least tell them nicely not to hang their 2 baos and triangles outside....bad for your fengshui
  21. Hmm....seems like many ppl like to treat the corridor as a refugee camp for their stuff.....
