  1. i dun remember going for the 2nd appointment. I think it's more for the buyers. From what I remembered, the keys were passed to my lawyers and my agent collected it for me and passed it to me
  2. it will be held from 28 to 31 Aug http://www.comexshow.com.sg/
  3. no leh...mine 42 inch TV is mounted on a wall and my 20 inch TV is placed on a customized table top that is of a certain height. And both TVs give me the feeling that the sound is pretty low. I dun get that feeling with my Sharp LCD TV which has speaker on the side.
  4. i would say go for Sharp. I bought my first LCD TV (Sharp) in 2003 and it is serving me very well even up to now. Subsequently I bought Toshiba LCD TV (20 and 42 inch). The main thing that I dun like about Toshiba LCD TV is that the speaker is at the bottom of the TV screen. You can feel the sound flow at a low level when sitting on the sofa and sometimes got to increase the volume.
  5. hi, anyone bought wireless IP camera and install in their home? would like to know which brand to go for and the pros & cons
  6. i installed the PD door for my bathroom only, not as a shower screen. Had it done at a reasonable price of $280
  7. Yup, total is 2 nunchuks. Wii Play contains about 9 other sports games if I am not wrong. It's for US set Actually if you dun mind 2nd hand sets, you can check out this URL: http://forums.vr-zone.com/forumdisplay.php?f=168 a lot of ppl selling Wii...i am looking at this website for a good 2nd hand PS3 deal
  8. You can try this shop in Queensway Shopping Centre called Game 2000. Last month when I enquired, they quote me $599 plus 4 games of which 1 of the game is Wii Sports. They will determine the titles of the other 2 games and you get to choose the title of the last game. But I didn't buy from them coz I didn't like the 2 fixed titles they are throwing in. Therefore I got it from Lucky Plaza for $600 which includes the Wii Sports and Wii Play (which comes with 1 free controller)
  9. i got a price of $5 psf for blackout blinds from Holly Interiors
  10. You can look for Eunice at 6754-2555
  11. I have used Citimap twice and arranging for them to move my items for a 3rd time soon. Pricing wise i think they are reasonable and their movers are very experienced
  12. is your $300 for black out? I went to Hong Ming too and he quoted me $800 plus for black out then said give me 20% discount which was around $600 plus. Thus I went to Holly Interior which only charge me $5 per sq feet for the blackout roller blinds
  13. hehehe...dun know yet...they just delivered today. i had wanted to get the Electrolux EDE429 but was told that the model had phased out. So the next best choice I made was to go with a brand that I am confident of which is F&P. Also because it can be wall-mount to save space. I bought the ED56 which has auto-sensing to stop the drying when the system "feels" that it is dry. not sure how much cheaper or freebies the sale will give but maybe you can use the price I got from HN as a gauge. I bought it at $549 (not on instalment plan) with delivery but no freebies. If go on instalment plan, the price is $639. My personal opinion is that if the sale offer you the same price as I got, you might as well buy from HN and buy the additional 3 years warranty. At least after the F&P warranty had lapsed (2 yrs warranty), you can still get the additional cover whereby there's a 1-to-1 exchange by HN
  14. really? ****...i just bought my dryer from Harvey Norman yesterday at $549...geez
  15. i had just engaged Holly Interior to do up my roller blinds. 2 rooms consisting of 9 panels altogether. Blackout types and it costs me $420 excluding GST. thought that it's cheap compared to what some of the curtain shops in Toa Payoh was quoting me at $600 to $800 plus for 5 panels.
  16. yours is probably a new flat? mine is a resale flat that was built in 1978
  17. didn't really measure but i think units on the highest floor of HDB has a lower ceiling height. My bro-in-law stays on the 5th floor while we stay on the 16th and it seems that my ceiling is lower than his. Condo's ceiling will be higher than normal HDB flat
  18. Anyone knows whether is it easy to replace an existing floor trap without hacking the floor tiles?
  19. anybody knows where i can buy ready-made aluminum curtain track? or customized the length? had several sets of curtains from my previous place which I intend to recycle at my new place. thanks in advance
  20. personal opinion is that it depends on the salesman. I went to Hong Liang and bought my 42 and 20 inch LCD TV from them. Had wanted to get a Fisher & Paykel fridge and a 8.5kg toshiba washing machine from them at the same time but was stopped by wifey to check out other places. We went to Harvey Norman at Hougang Mall and told the salesman the price I was quoted at Hong Liang and he managed to match the price for me.
  21. i used Citimap Movers twice. They charge me $280 for 1 king size mattress, 1 marble dining table with 4 chairs, a L-shape sofa, 1 fridge, 1 washing machine and 5 boxes. My place is not lift landing too
  22. You might want to try Eastwest Interior: http://www.east-west.com.sg/ I had them customized a writing table for my study room and they did a great job. However, they didn't do such a good job when doing my parents' house for built-in wardrobes.
  23. I think you can still reuse but depending on the size of the TV you are replacing too. The good thing about having wall mount TV is the neat and tidy look. The pain is when one of the cables is spoilt, you need to have to bring down the TV to change the cable etc.
