  1. DIY wallpaper installation extremely difficult.... dont bother trying.... if you have seen the videos on youtube ... looks easy right? yeah but their walls are some kind of plaster board... if you do on hdb's walls well then good luck to you.... you will need to have alot of injections
  2. pixiu cannot kai guang ... just throw away can le...
  3. pull... there is a catch... you'll see it if you see closely....
  4. meaning of high gloss? normal Bonlec plus lacquer? Base coat .... sand till smooth... base code again... sand till smooth... base code again.... sand again.... then spray the paint ( i propose you use epoxy paint - high gloss plus long lasting then dun need to lacquer liao)
  5. actually i have been using hilti cordless for the longest time... even when the battery runs out there is another... and best thing is that it takes 30mins to charge a bettery
  6. i got an old 30 year old flat... basically plastering of walls are never super levelled.... the main thing that you should look at is whether it looks good.. if it does no issue... but as what I have said if should there be a glass door then that particular area must be straight and levelled... my house did cement plaster 1st then i went over with stopping plaster. it time consuming... but overall it looks flat enough unless you put a table against the wall..
  7. it doesnt really matter... unless you are using raw wood... plywood are treated... kena rain water or not does not really impact anything unless it's soaked in water for a few days...
  8. you should check the other threads... it has already been posted before... anyway you can go to kelantan lane... you will not miss the glass frame maker..
  9. i dont think contractor will want to do this... Locks are super cheap($2/ea) it takes maybe less than 5 mins to install the locks. so it'd be better if you DIY...
  10. ehh, i hope you dun mind me saying... the purpose of a cove lighting is to make use of the ceiling to reflect light... for sure will have the shadow of the fan... so the lucky thing now is that you have a 9" cove... do this... switch on your cove lights... put it at different depths of the cove so that you will see the distance of the light beams...adjust the lights till the light beams distance are to your liking....
  11. standard... neither cheap nor expensive.... everywhere's around this price....
  12. You've got it right... That's all you need to do.... rubber washer normally put in 2... White teflon tape use ALOT!!! you'll get the alignment in a few tries...
  13. You can try to call Andres @ 90611619 Just say Ben introed can le....
  14. Hi, Does anyone know where to buy 6" deer with head facing left and right? I go "si be lo" also cannot find. Doesn't matter if it's brass or wood or what ever... any members here knows where to find exactly?
  15. google the major brands.... KDK / Ellmark / Tamco it should give you a rough idea...
  16. you cannot change the handle... it's illegal...
  17. not really.... depending on ID... i have seen the ID's carrying by the stairs
  18. one big piece unless cannot fit through front door
  19. install 1st then paint... painter will know how to cover up the boxes you can DIY everything if you want... but SCV point is how you want to run it... either directly from the scv box outside (like what I did) or just simple looping... Tel points (just my 2 cents worth) 1 point would do because now a days everyone uses a dect cordless phone... so i guess not neccessary for all rooms to have tel point. Also plan your internet points. Consider which service provider you will be using and plan the points carefully... I guess many people do not really plan the electrical and internet points... Electrical planning like location of the points, 2/3/4 way switches. Dimmer points etc etc.... so dont jump into what is cheap or expensive... Plan everything and of course budget... what you cannot live without and what you can accommodate. Cheers
  20. funny... new aircon never drips unless the water pipe is installed outside your premises. if the aircon pipe is installed outside, the reroute it to your nearest toilet. If its the condenser ask the aircon guy to settle it.... New condensers will never have this problem... is your aircon the casement type? then that makes more sense.... anyway ask your aircon centractor to come and check because its still under warranty before it's too late...
  21. you can go directly to hilti and ask... Mine's under fleet management because of the jobs i do... I have the others like TE6A etc etc.... go to kelantan lane or ubi.... 1 thing i like about hilti is they have got the best customer service...
