That's my point exactly. If we the consumers stress HDB they will in the end stress the contractors. Or maybe they know they hire the lowest quote thats why they keep quiet until we bark. But we still have to highlight to them and make it known to their biggest client..us.

I think you guys should write to the ST forum about this. Price is increasing but how come quality is going down. This is really a lifetime commitment and it involves most of our hard earned money which eventually will leave us with no retirement money. You guys should and must fight for your right. Make a scene about this.

I really really dig the layout of this flat... where is it exactly and its a 4A?. No I wont stalk you.. I like it cos can make the master extra huge with eg a reading corner, a love love corner, drumset etc etc.... your kitchen is kinda crampy though no offence really, but the square shape is much better than those long ones cos of the kitchen triangle rule. Dont have to take a bus to the fridge to get something then take a bus back to the counter to cut then take another bus to the fryer. hahaa If you like to, extend your dry kitchen to the area directly outside, or make a breakfast counter/bar counter thingy. Then bedroom 2 can be a full on scale dining facility when you are entertaining guests. like a pte room in a restaurant. full height windows? High floor. Lagi best... make the best of it but if u are staring at your ugly naked neighbour then hmmmm.... Tell you what.... 10 years later if you wanna sell i will buy it. Just a thought but not to down play on ur design. I assume the WIW room is not on the same side as the toilet side? Would you consider swtiching the rooms so that when you come out of the toilet, its straight into the WIW rather than trottle along the bedroom to the WIW. I have been playing the idea of tearing down one wall to make the master bigger cos its well....shiok lah. Another question is why make the floors different material? Again I assume the WIW is laminate and the master is of tile? Again not to say your design is bad but rather want to know the whys and why nots. thanks and congrats!

holy crap... man that sucks. i mean yeah i should count myself lucky already. No wonder one sub con appeared during my reno and warned my wife about marie but we didnt believe him as she said in this line, competition is very tough, alot of slandering involved. ID is marie chiang from happy homes.. i am not bad mouthing cos this is really happening. They finished the job, but now they have disappeared. which means my 5 year warranty is gone. and i am getting worried cos there are gonna be repairs along the way for sure and i cant contact them. Is there a way to sniff them out? Do I have a case against them. I wish to lodge a police report against them.

yeap all in all.... it is better to sign with a company that has reputation and please to all new home owners... get one with radac. And i give you my 100% there will be problems along the way, its just how the ID will handle it. Get your cameras ready and document the process of renovation to cover ur behind. And hold on to the last 1000 you owe until you are truly satisfied with everything. As they say 50% upfront and 10% or so until completion. It is not complete until u say it is. Darwin as I know, does in bulk volume, thats why they are able to give low rates and rebates. But by far, Earnest interiors has the lowest number of complaints, other than the fact that they take quite a bit of time to respond, but thats due to the overwhelming amount of clients they have. Hi Piglet Its not a microwave but an convection oven countertop style. It cost a mere 95 dollars (compared to the hundreds) i think as it was given by my brother. It can grill, bake, roast and do rotisserie (spinning chicken) as well. If i am not wrong, it can be found at harvey norman. I already tried roasting a few drumsticks, pork chops and man it wasnt bad at all. Regards

mine has top and bottom heating elements.... so do i turn on both? its a cornell electric oven by the way. small only 23l.

Just wanna tell you something about the biometric lock. Its not full proof as what the makers claim. Saw it on discovery myth busters, they broke the biometric lock in 3 different ways. And you would not believe how easy it was.. 1. a latex mould of the thumb 2. a silicon version 3 . PHOTOCOPY! they broke the biometric with a photocopy of the thumb print.
