dooooode... that is one nice crib man. that yellow lighting in the dining is a genius. It adds so much of a party feel to it. And if you change the colour once in a while, it might actually change the whole mood of the house. Suddenly one hokkien song came to mind....ah see wa wo jit pa ban... I suppose this is where I will spend it on. Cheers man. Nice one.

Dining : Table is held upwards by cables to the ceiling. Same as the long shelf in the living room. A sense of danger and excitement is evoked with this table. Cupboards are lined with frameless glass doors. Service balcony is lined with grass and extended till the laundry side. Can be demarkated easily with half length curtains. Kitchen : You might wonder , where on earth is the cooking hood. This is the downward draft ventilation technique ala teppanyaki style. Always wanted it. Without the overhanging hood, the space is somewhat enlarged and view is not broken. And there is an outdoory feel to it, so a grill is installed for the odd barbeque. Common/guest room/study room : Fusion of wardrobe and study area. Metal laminates with wood lining. Sleek sleek sleek. 2nd room Master entrance : Left is bedroom right is extended toilet cum wardrobe. Toilet and wardrobe views View of wardrobe from toilet : cupboards on the right is serve as storage in side the wardrobe but serve as a table at the entrance walkway. Still seperated by glass though. Presenting the master room Other views worthy of showing common toilet : Shower area is enclosed by wooden vanes for flow of light and also to evoke an peekaboo effect. If anyone dares, it can be done as what u see, I pushed the wall down to show a better picture. My only concern was the smell if anyone ahem ahem... View of entrance from living : To me it feels like a huge outdoor patio. Reminds me of childhood when I had a nice patio outside of the dining area for bbq. Lovebirds corner : Candles, water feature sunsets, soft cosy bed. Well thats all gents and gentles. If anyone needs my services I can be contacted at d_junkay@hotmail.com.

Now this is the biggest flat I have seen. 174 sqm of heaven in Woodlands. There was one featured in Home Decor a while back and I was so much envious of that owner. Such a unique house. I got sentimental with this one. Just a feeling of brother hood amongst men and women. Maybe still fresh from the deepavali injection of harmony. Ah well, will be taking somewhat of a break to do more understanding of design and basically just give my shoulder a break. !! So here it is woodlands jumbo Hazelnut harmony Entrance : Immediately greeted by the picture of a lady staring at the sunset at the beach. Sets the mood for what the house stands. Sunsets give me a peaceful feeling of acceptance and contentment. And of course time to party! Tucked away at the cornet is a loveseat/daybed sorta for budding couples to blossom, not to small not too big, encourage contact..whahha Living area : I planned it to be very open. From kitchen to living, a nice size studio apartment if you can call it. Picture of hands showing again the theme of togetherness in times of laughter and sorrow. Edge of raised platform and adjoining wall is lined with lightboxes for a nice glow at night. Furniture is black leather with bronze metal frame

Bar area looking into living. Somehow I suspect the men will be near the bar and the women will sit comfortably in the living. Meal times : During celebration, many types of food using a myriad of spices are displayed and the colours are wonderful. I chose the colour of royal red and only one seat at the end of the table for the head of the family, fit for a king. From dining to the kitchen. The low cabinets at the side can be used both for storing kitchen pots and also bathroom towels and soap etc. A walkway sorta. Common toilet kitchen Laundry area : Bedroom 3 was split into 2 functions. This is one of them, a washing area out of view. Walkway art gallery into the rooms, daughters room straight up, sons room on the left, master on the right Son's room Daughters room : 2 versions, dont know which is better with damask motif or rose patterns Fav : Super grand entrance for master Pte walkway along the timber veil, wood carvings on the wall is actually buddha surrounded by 8 holy beings. Master : Damask motif in gold. master wardrobe area : created from bedroom 3. master shower And I almost forgot the most important thing in a festival like deepavali.. a well stocked bar of course See y'all Have a good one!!

Found this big *** of a exec flat. Not the biggest though, but still enough to host a deepavali party where the whole village comes. That is exactly the inspiration for this work. Went for a deepavali party and was very moved by how tight and fun loving the people are. It was kinda strange as each family member invited a chinese friend.... I wonder was it planned. "Treat the mungen" party. It was one of the most fun I had in years, especially with the dad aka Homer. Anyways here is the floor plan Pimped or deeped up Entrance foyer : Be greeted by Kali, giving birth to the universe. Notice how the rays are shining towards the inside of the flat. Universal love, you are welcomed into my home, regardless who u are. Welcome to the party of your life : Modern indian design. Leather with damask type wallpaper. Krishna divine musician joins us in the celebration too. .

Fine dining : Waterfall glass wall feature and shag carpet. Shiok only. And food comes from kitchen : Cooking area has glass around it to prevent splashing. Side shelf is for easy spice reach. Strips on wall is for hanging your wet pans. This is in favour of the triangle rule for kitchens. Metal laminates with black solid surface to compliment with the industrial feel. White part of sink is the sliding chopping board. Overview From entrance Simple pitch black toilet for edge How I wish I had this pad!! Cheers

Master : Cheeky motif on the glass toilet door. Right side is the glass wall. Looking at the wardrobe from bed Living area Low cotton seats big enough to cross your legs and lean back. Candles for the mood. I just realise when I was drafting this I was listening to a certain track called The Making of Jill from one of the cafe del mar series. Living into dining

It is not a dream , there are indeed 3 room flats with attached balconies. This rare gem is well out of the way no doubt in Boon Lay, 10th floor. Not too bad for scenery I reckon. Staring at it for a while, everything just came pouring out right after I cement screed the floor in orange! Went for the industrial open concept feel but as me being me, I can never leave the resort feel too far away. I consider this to be my best effort so far in terms of hard work. My right shoulder has never felt so sore before due to repeatitive action from the mouse Hee. Still far from the IDs 3D software but the feel is so much better in this one. Here is the floorplan And it definately got pimped! I kept thinking it was for a bachelor, sometimes swinging and hangs out at indochine very often. Candles are a must. On entering, the wardrobe is there to hide the private living area. Turning left is the master. Indian carpet represents roots. Master is seperated from the dining by a glass waterfall feature. Wardrobe. Enough space for 2 and two shelves of shoes.

oh yeah I forgot one important design of the place. Its called the peekaboo area. The glass wall serves as a lighting point also from the master. Dimly lit, it adds a glow from the wall into the walk way to the master, and also a light at night when u get the munchies and are too **** lazy to find a light switch. Its also pervocative as it offers visitors a peek into the master, arousing interest. Thats really all I think

Buangkok 4 room flat. Provided by forummer Anthea. Owner requested simple minimalistic theme, doesnt mind hacking walls, and wants all to be inside the room eg tv, comp, wiw... basically a mini earth minus the fridge. I guess I got carried away with the new things I learnt on sketchup. Like I could mimick any kind of colour and material with a jpeg image. And thereby expanding the choices that I have with so called interior decoration. Anyways featuring buangkok 4 rm Floor plan Overview Living and dining room Idea of interchangeability between dining and living. Dining area somehow looks like a living area but it can feed lots of people comfortably. Living area is a queen size dimension silk satin low bed and head rest which is a back rest for diners. Kitchen Is there such thing as modern zen? Main event - the master bedroom As usual, combi combi and more combi of rooms. Length of the room is heightened by the benches along the windows. Silk and satin rules the day for the bed. Media corner : Combi of TV and comp monitor can be done these days. Computer is kept in the benches. Leather couch will add to the edgy feel of the room. Wardrobe Anthea said something like she is one who likes to keep her own things to herself very much so For him and For her wardrobe spaces Scurb down areas Overview of master Thats all folks. Feel free to comment and to send me your unique floor plans ok? Regards again the floorplan

Hi Lynn I am very very happy that u like it that much. This is what drives me on actually, comforting the narcissistic side of me HAHHA. But u no like the dresser toilet, bar area?!!! And the brain cramping dining area????!!! Just kidding yeah? The swivel shelf shouldnt cost that much I sincerely believe, as its as easy as adding a screw between 2 planks. If your ID decides to up the cost because its too difficult to do, then try any carpenter to add on after you do ur wardrobe. The swivel shelf is just for laziness sake too, I mean you could still plonk the monitor on the shelf, and you shift a bit when you want to use it. hee hee I am in fear of your dog. Are you afraid that he would scratch the carpet off the platform? The platform idea actually is meant to demarkate the area properly, there are other ways to do it. You could buy a low slim shelf and place it by the entrance thereby securing the area so to speak. But a platform is somewhat softer than tile, my butt can atest to that. hahaha But yay yay yay you like my idea. Good luck on the coming reno Darren P/S Am i invited to your house warming? Thats my end of the deal to everyone that ask me to sketch. Heehee

Lynn emailed me her floorplan sometime last week and I started working on it last Fri. This is one tricky floor plan to work with. I shifted the dining area countless times until i surrended to brain cramp. She mentioned that it was an EA split into one 3 room and one 2 room. She allowed free play but with one request of not using laminates as she has dogs. So here it is. Floor plan Overview On entering, the living room on the left. Raised carpet platform with lots and lots of cushions and custom made back rests. It didnt feel right putting a couch there. Its more of an interacting corner for conversations. A tv is an escape from conversations, hence little interaction. Warm soft lighting is a must. Of course there will be a bar area. I am not a football fan, but I know there are tons out there. And they cant seem to sit still for too long. Below the TV is where the stock pile of drinks are. This might seem small but it can sit 6 slim shadys or 4 big macs. A picture or mirror will add to detail and a conversation piece. Kitchen : Seriously, this kitchen is not made for cooking up a storm. I asked the owner if she cooks heavy or just ham and eggs. Ham and eggs it is. On the left is the area for the washing machine, hidden from view. My favourite area : Master bedroom Two bedrooms into one as usual. Main bedroon serves as a walkin wardrobe with a reading/working area. Overview Entrance : On the left is a raised entrance to the bedroom. It makes it slightly more dramatic and somehow grander I feel. The day bed u see directly in front is a reading corner. It has a custom made swivel shelf so that you can swing out the comp monitor if you need to do some research. I know it might prove claustrophobic, hence its placed beside the bay window. The bed is also on a another raised platform. Beside is a storage unit. Overview of wardrobe, reading corner and main bathroom main bathroom changed into a dressing room for him and her. Beside is another storage unit. Shower room. Simple, elegant with built in wall storage. The additional basin is for guests.

Hi Gents and Gentles One post wonder : Thanks for the floorplan. That is indeed one tough nut to crack. I have, including yours, 3 floorplans all kindly contributed by the forummers here. I will start on my favourite kind of flat first (sorry). KrisieTong : Have you tried the sketchup video tutorial? I just tried every button and see what it could do and that is how I started using it to sketch. After a while, its just about which step first to use in order to create the kind of design you want. There are like freaks on the internet that does huge iconic buildings like museum. Now that is scary! But hey thanks for the kind words. L.Lim : Your 3 room is unique. I am intrigued by it. Will get on it ASAP. Bonkitty : Sorry I cant help hacking walls. Cheers to all

HAhaah so i turned her place into a mini booze factory. I wished I could add effects to the design to illustrate better but here it is Entrance. A cordoned off area for smelly sneakers and also to add to the effect of seperation of living room Living area - carpets carpets and more carpets Master bedroom Master and bedroom 2 combined. Entering the bedroom, you are greeted by a small pond and greenery. Raised platform for the sleeping area, seperated by sliding doors. Cats - its their world too! Small playing area for her cats. Built near the window for venilation. Simple dining area, empty wall is a canvas for pratically anything. You can add a buffet table and a drawing perhaps. Kitchen: Dug a hole beside the fridge as a dry area for making party snacks or sandwiches. Toilets - simple mosaic tiles, if you prefer monochromatic you can change the wood frame into black laminates. Anymore unique floor plans?
