Contacts To Make Wooden Shelter/Car Porch/Terrace
indira replied to ztcheong's topic in Carpentry Works
Hi there, Just saw your message today , are you still interested to do your terrace? I saw some links in internet a beautiful terrace was made with strand woven bamboo. The material is stronger, more durable and eco-friendly than wood. It is also less maintenance. I can only find the decking though, but I think install them as awning to block sung lare would be no problem, Maybe you want to consider it? Cheers -
Hi Holy, I already send them trough send message button, hope you can find the message, Otherwise you can email me from my page, Cheers Indira

Hi Tuts, How old is your marble floor? Do you plan to do the floor by changing all the materials or only touch up in the defects area? The cost depends on what material you are going to use, the difficulties of the works, and how large is your living room is. If you dont mind I am asking, how big is your living room? Have you considered about bamboo flooring? With this materials, you can have less maintenance, healthier and easier installing than others. Cheers Indira

O, ok ,just curious though, so many options in the market...

they have to use little water because laminating floor has a high water absorption compare to other wood/bamboo floor. Sweeping is not easy ...(been there done that..trust me..), I wonder why you not using vacuum cleaner? avoid scratch?

Difference Between Engineering Wood And Laminate Wood
indira replied to immunity's topic in Ceiling, Walls and Flooring Works
Hi Immunity, I think many people use krono products, you can find them in this forum but different topics, I saw quite numbers. One is in laminating flooring topics. Cheers -
Hi All, I read from other topics in this forum many people have problems with laminate flooring due to water (spill water, close to wet area, rain water). And I think your contractor discourage you to use laminate flooring because he doesnt want you to have problems in the future and blaming him. As for CHina Manufacturing, I thought almost all products are made in China but branded by European or American company. But of course the Company still do quality assurance on the products. Cheers

Hi Guys, Just wanna ask, if we demolished the wall between room and merge 2 rooms become 1, is that true that when we sell back the flat the price will be below the market? I am in hunting for HDB flats and found one in Jurong that we feel its good (airy and bright), but the owner merge the MBR with other bedroom. THanks

Hi Drexter, Have you installed your laminate flooring? How is it now? I read that you want to have more water resistant flooring material, have you considered strand woven bamboo flooring? I read in their website (www.styleline.com.sg)they have 0.6% water absorption compare to 2.5% laminate flooring? Maybe that would be better option compare to laminate flooring. And thats a natural material too. Cheers

Hack Old Tiles Away Or Overlay?
indira replied to aegis0129's topic in Ceiling, Walls and Flooring Works
Hi Aegis, Usually the tiles warranty is given by the manufacturer. I think if it still look good (no stain, discoloration, no crack, no popping or whatsoever) you can keep it. But if you want to change them to homo tiles floor, it would be best to hack them. Cheers -

Holy, Bamboo flooring is flooring material made of bamboo, but finishing like teak. Based on quality, is much better than laminating floor (healthier, more durable, same price) You should check in The Heeren outdoor deck, its nice, and it is also applicable in indoor. Cheers
