  1. Thanks 'adidaem for all these useful information from the Hdb website. Anyway my ID will check if HDB approves.
  2. I was with my ID today to finalize the details before hacking work starts this Monday. I was also @Gain City and wanted to get a single split unit aircon for my living room. However, when I told the sales man that I already have a System 4 for the 3 bedrooms & 1 utility rm, immediately says that having 2 compressors in EM is not permitted. Is that true? He said he will only install the aircon compressor for the split unit if HDB gives the green light....
  3. I really like those kitchen island lights of yours. What the damage?
  4. Your layout and design is very impressive indeed.
  5. Thx KObelala, haven't start already feel the stress.....u know, I only just realize there is no gas pipes for my block.... Sian leh .... I have never used gas cylinder my whole life.....
  6. Thx .... Also hope u like your new place.
  7. Looking forward to 18 July next Monday ...... Start of renovation.
  8. Thx. I was thinking about the high walls and ceilings. That's why the cost is so high ..... I wish my pocket is deep enough so that there is more $$$ to use for reno .....
  9. The 3d view of the staircase lo look very nice!
  10. I estimated mine to be 3.5k to plaster the whole unit..... Yesterday my ID quoted me his lowest price of 3.4k .... Do u think this is reasonable for 150sqm?
  11. Thx for your compliment angelbutterfly. My quote is 35k not including electrical, plastering, WC and doors. Total should be around 40 to 42k....... I love Mayer products and the lower range fall with my budget. They carry brands like Ariston and Delizia and indesit. I have used these brands for many years and also very happywith their quality and modern look.
  12. Some pics of what we purchased from Mayer. 1. Indesit DIsh Washer. 2. Ariston Hob 3. Delizia Cooking Hood 4. Aiston Oven
  13. Thx Bro Kobelala for visiting my blog. I really hope everything will be smooth and ID was be "on the ball" and get the things done up neatly. I took some ideas from you on cost cutting measures, like keeping the sliding windows upstairs, overlaying my floor tiles instead of hacking...... thx for many other ideas u have given to me (Eg doing up the foyer area) At least now your major reno headache is over and hope you are settling quickly in your new place.
  14. Wah..... Your renovation looks very massive, Is there a lot of hacking work? U r are rewiring the entire house?
  15. I like your curved balcony
  16. Thx for your advice. I still like the idea of having the bar counter in this manner. The original idea was to have an island but cos it is very costly.... So decided on something not so expensive and practical. Those stools will not be there. In effect, I intend to get my ID to have the counter flush on both sides so that I can maximized storage space. Besides, I don't like having the kitchen entrance facing the main door.
  17. I went down last night to Mayer to put up order for chimney cooker hood, 3 burner hob, buitt in oven and dish washer. The chimney hood looks good and I like the soft touch and LEDs lighting.
  18. Just got message from my ID that HDB has given the approval on our renovation works. Actual work will start next Mon 18/7.
  19. Thx Stardust, that means I have to budget about 3k to 3.5k. It is going to hurt my pocket.... Ouch!
  20. Thanks for highlighting this. There should still sufficient space to walk thru' . I didnt want to hack the other part of the wall because of cost. The part of the wall will be used to put the fridge.
  21. Toilet #3 is very unique as it is on the 1st floor. It is also the smallest toilet with only a WC and a water spray pipe in it. The wall is going to be only half tiled ..... One of my cost cutting measure. I chose the tile different from the other 2 toilets.
