  1. I didn't have to appeal. All I did was to send my request through the HDB website ...... and it took 3 months for them to acknowlege and approve. Another 3 months for the surveyor and them to approve the legal documents. Dottyness, did u also face similar experience when u buy ur recess area?
  2. Yeah! I just completed my HDB transaction for the purchase of my recess area (ie my foyer). It's only a mere 2sqm ....... it took HDB 6 months to process the transaction.Amaizng!
  3. Major and impt decision .... No point keeping something u don't really like. .... But u have to pay more.
  4. Now u can countdown to completion...... Soon ur place will look beautiful
  5. 70k for ur place means it is going to be major overhaul. Do post ur pictures of before and after. I m sure u r very excited to see how ur place will be xformed into a beautiful place!

Your reno is nicely done! I like those hanging lights and also your build in study corner. How much does the study table cost? My next reno i will certainly consider having this feature
  7. Hi Axel, nice to see u start ur own blog. Hope u hav a smooth reno journey
  8. My new domestic helper .... the robot cleaner. Simply love it!
  9. I have TV in the bedroom but it is only for show. We always use our TV in the living hall.... Agree personal time is impt!
  10. I just bought the Agait EC 01 enhanced robot cleaner. Went to the showroom @orchard central. The cleaner looks cool and robust. Took it home and started using it. Really amazing seeing the robot maneuvering my 2nd level; going over carpets, under the beds and picking up every single strand of hair along it's path. At Least 70% of job done within an hour... Bravo!
  11. I checked with my Aircon contractor, he says it is normal for water to drip from it if not it is choked. But anyway, I will get him to do a tray and drain the water thru a pipe.
  12. It's unbelievable! I can't imagine how people can sit on such a dirty toilet bowl.... Yaks
  13. Hi petalfruit, Once you have uploaded pictures to photobucket, Copy the content in IMG code from the photbucket and paste it on the your blog, the picture will appear. **Dont copy & paste the html link. Have fun
  14. Flooring installation today? It would be exciting how ur final product would look like? Do update us with ur latest pics
  15. Why did u choose the bottom piece? I would choose the top piece tho as the entire piece is teak wood. The bottom one seems to have the metal support/legs which might overtime be prone to corrosion.....it's just my opinion
  16. Kchinbeng, u must be very excited to collect your keys today. Anyway, congrats! Where is your EM? The last time you said u were looking for one in the east.
  17. Thanks for your honest feedback. U mention the noise ... Is it as annoying as the conventional vacuum cleaner? I cant tell it from video. I m still considering if it is worth paying more for that special feature about route memorizing and mopping.
  18. I also don't understand, the lift has already just been upgraded but the mover said the lift is small as compared with some others.
  19. Very nice leh, I like the brick wall effect, is it tiles? I notice you also box up the pipes, nice and clean work by Andrew
  20. My favourites: Balestier: Bah Kut Teh, Boon Tong Kee or Loy Kee Chicken rice. Whampoa FC: Original Loy Kee Chicken rice, homemade bean curd, Hoover Rojak, herbal mutton soup, hokkien mee, fried oyster, char kway teow, satay.
  21. Hi Jshome, kids grow up very quickly and thei preference change too when they reach their teens. You r right, it is no point spending too much to furnish their bedroom when they r still kids; once they grow up, they dont want those 'kiddish' stuff and it would be a waste to throw them away.
  22. Aiya now I understand why I cannot buy fitted bedsheet, coz mine is about 11".... Always got problem. btw, the king coil mattress couldnt even fit into the lift and the poor workers had to walk all the way up to my unit.
  23. Nice pics. The plastering looks very smooth and well done! Your experience is somewhat similar to mine. I remembered complaining to my ID about the workers leaving the place in a big mess and not protecting my marble flooring. I m also another dumb owner! It was often myself or my ID himself who clear those mess... Haha
  24. Your place after reno is very swee:) I like ur cove lighting!
  25. So adidaem u r the iClebo user. I saw the demo once @HG mall but I find the price a little too steep. Not really convinced by what it can do coz it was only demo, I didnt get it on the spot. Does it really memorise the route and vacuum without repetition? Is it easy to programme it to perform daily job (eg 1 hr a day)?
