Do u need to pay additional charges for approval? I like this orientation but I think it will incur higher cost cos more materials needed to build a 2nd platform. Eager to see ur final product.....

Hi Angmo, u have a very big n spacious unit. Very nice indeed If I were u, I will relocate the store and create a yard for laundry... Hacking away the store gives space for wet n dry kitchen. I will also hack away the study area n this opens up the entire living n dinning area.

Hi wanchoy, I remember getting this white shoe rack from Vhive@NEX for only $95. Not sure if they r still selling. It helps keep my foyer at recess area free from those messy shoes n slippers.

I always love chimney hoods. so i will go with design #2 .....it gives ur kitchen a cleaner n less cluttered look. However, If storage space is very impt.... for practical reasons, go for design#1.

U r right that it cost abt 4k to 5k. A year ago, I hesitated to rewire the whole house n asked my ID if I could retain the existing electrical wires. In the end, we retain the wiring work for the upper floor n changed new ones for the lower floor. Total cost is 2.8k.

Hi Ms Wan, I also love ur staircase with glass panels. Agree with u coz the whole staircase looks exquisite n sleek. But I still cannot have this design as it is not elderly-friendly plus I m too lazy to clean the glass regularly.....

Interesting question . I feel these objects or actions are only symbolic..... They r harmless. There r many things that Christians do which r also symbolic eg kneeling, the holy communion, baptism.... So I think it is alright to roll the pineapple n sprinkle salt to symbolize blessing n cleansing. I did these simple acts when I first got my keys..... I find it meaningful just my 2cents

Or get a pastor or priest to bless the house.... Try to think +vely.... I know it is not easy. In my opinion, No one is at fault as far as the sale is concern. No seller will want to reveal the "secrets" as it would certain disadvantage them. U can choose void the transaction.

I think these ID or contractors are overcharging.... The moment they know it is EM or condo apartment, they immediately mark up their price. Mine was a simple overhaul a year ago, I had no idea about Reno cost before I bought the EM. I remembered asking around for a humble 25k overhaul cos that was what I was left with after paying for a hefty COV. The quotes ranges from 45k to 60k. I considered myself lucky coz I managed to get a ID company that helped me work around 45K excluding furnishing.

Good that u got it at a low COV.....coz the ones I ask in Bishan is way above 40k for 4rm....
