Your kitchen wall tiles look quite unique and does it give the 3D effect? I am still contemplating if I should get the side to side fridge..... The chiller and freezer capacity is bigger but do u think i can put a 3kg sponge cake in it? What is the Max size of cake I should order for this type of fridge? Just worry cannot go in, then how???

Hi Angel, most of the carpentry work are preassembled, except for some laminates that are needed be done on site. There were instances when I got them to change the laminate because they used the wrong one. They did it on the spot for me.....

My understanding is that the contract would have stated clearly that repainting works includes the whole house walls & ceiling, isn't it? Sounds weird if only paint certain walls and ceiling... repainting

Thx Dreaming The kitchen cabinets are custom made and designed by my ID. Because we have a tight budget to meet, we go for something that gives a simple but modern look.....since we have no extra $$$ , therefore no Blum/anti-slam system for all our kitchen doors. A breakfast/bar counter is good enough for us ... can double up as an Island or preparation table for baking or breakfast table top. I would need to souce for 2 high chair this weekend. White and maple is our theme colour Even our bedroom have similar theme.

Have just PMed u the contact of my ID. Thx for visiting my blog. My reno is rather simple and nothing really much to showcase..... as we are running on a rather tight budget. I didnt know much about reno. until I chanced upon renotalk. Initially, I set aside 25K to redo the whole house, which was in a rather original state (u can read and see pics in my beginning posts). Someone in the forum told me it wasnt possible I quote, "......25k is probably only enough to hack and change the floor tiles and fittings in toilets and kitchen, do cabinets and not much else. No new floor tiles for the rest of the house, no new windows or grilles....." I didnt expect my quotation for most companies was beyond 50K. This ID firm is the only one that bothers to get back to me on the quotation and negotiate to a comfortable fig. Without much thought, I went ahead and signed on the dotted line I will be posting some before and after reno pics soon......

Jas, u r Math teacher? Sometimes what is on paper may seem correct, it is always best to use measuring tape and go to the site to measure. I learnt my lesson when the dimension of my new store area went wrong. At least u have not done yet and can still rectify it easily

56k reno for a 3 rm flat? hmmm.... U should be transparent and share with us how he get his figures. I m surprise u even hand a 30k cheque without proper paper work such as quotation or invoice. I think u have been taken for a ride..... It seems that this so call good friend of yours is taking advantage of your kind character. Perhaps, u should just get him to give u the official doc.

The lighted cube looks cool. I guess it is not cheap . Is the light cube LED type? Can we sit on it like a stool?
