Will visit your blog every now and then to hear your story You mention u can't really go to see the tiles personally.... cos u need to look after your kids.... Perhaps u can ask ur ID to pass u the samples as well. I still think you should also feel the texture of the tiles before u decide:)

Which one r u referring to? I got my lights from various lighting shops along balestier & Jln Besar. Led light from IKEA is only $29 i think:) I had wanted white LED bit they come with warm white... It still look good anyway

I have to agree with you on what you said about COV. Like you, I am also paying a lot for COV and left with little to do renovation. When I first joined this forum, I was shocked to learn that EMs reno range from 70K to over 100K. Unlike yours, my EM was in very original condition (26year-old) and my budget only allowed me to settle for half that amount. I am glad you have found an ID who can meet your budget. Too late to do opennet installation as it would mean casing running below the cornice. So no opennet for now I am asking your electrician to help me install a speed regulator for my ceiling fans and some additional power sockets.

Once item is purchased, it would be very hard t return unless it is not opened/assembled. I have somewhat similar experience with Ikea. For the bookshelf, once assembled, it would be hard to exchange or change . I also regretted buying thick mattress from King Koil, it could not even enter the lift, have to pay contractor cost of climbing up each level.

Good advice from May about opennet installation. Singtel Mio knocked at my door last Sunday and tried to persuade me to sign fiberoptics fast speed broadband and giving us free opennet installation. My wif object it as she doesnt want the casing to be seen running under our cornices. If only my previous owner had installed opennet last year, then this wouldn't be an issue May, thanks for msg me your electrician contact
