  1. It's ms polar who is having this problem. I don't mind small colorful birds building nests in my balcony. But certainly not pigeons or mynahs.... Hahaa
  2. Wah... Everything gone.... I m sure the feeling is good to see all these old stuff gone. Now awaiting to see your transformation into a beautiful home
  3. Wow.... Interesting Pigeon eggs, which will soon hatch into baby pigeons. Where do u stay Ms Polar? I always thought birds builds nests on trees. I don't have a roof shelter in my balcony and u r right to say the placement of compressor is impt. My compressor is about 1 ft from my wall and balcony is very warm in the day.
  4. From the photos, the original place looks well maintained. R u keeping part of the stairs, the parquet steps? R u erecting store under staircase?
  5. I remembered my previous owner gave me 3 main keys too. The rest were unlabelled and packed in an old dirty plastic bag. Actually, I didn't even bother to look at them coz I intended to change all door and locks. If u r changing everything.... Perhaps u can be like me.
  6. Congrats on Starting ur reno! Happy reno journey
  7. Congrats hehe on your completion, what a great X'formation from the old to the modern Amazing! Btw, how much did u spend on your reno.
  8. May, that would be nice to see your place screen over the TV. But I think you have to bear with their noise and mess during the filming. Do they give u a token for using your place and over how many days?
  9. Wow.... good idea to have a garden theme but I will always be challenged by the idea of maintenance. Plants grows best outdoors with natural light, rain and space too. Agree with Taichipanda, idea of having a green interior garden is cool but may not be practical.
  10. EMReno, congrats! Reno is almost over?
  11. Yes, still eagerly awaiting for u to post pictures of ur custom made staircase Jshome, how's the progress?
  12. San20sg, exceeding budget is perfectly normally. There is always the wants and unwillingness to do without certain things. I think money can always earn back but what is most impt is u must be happy in what u do in ur reno.
  13. Upload photos on ur reno progress leh... ending soon?
  14. To add on, 1) Ceiling (esp bathroom) should not have any water marks. Repairs should be done 1st if not u have to bear the cost later. 2) Recess area (if any) should be stated clearly that owner had purchased. Big mistake I made coz I assume owner bought the area at foyer.... now it takes months for HDB to approve. 3) Neighbours.... do they put bulky furnitures or objects outside the flat. Previously I sold my 1st flat coz neighbour loves to put bulky furnitures and hang their laundry and carpets outside their flat. Only 1 person can walk through at any one time and have to smell their "underwears" 4) Installation of Open Net cabling. ... I didnt find out about this, now I have to spend money on the installation. the list goes on......
  15. Your reno is very nicely done I like your laminate flooring. Is it easy to maintain coz looks like ur entire place has laminate flooring.
  16. Chrislam, Congrats! It's great to know another EM owner. U've already got ID to reno ur place? It's always good to start planning early. Perhaps, u may want to start ur blog and share with us ur reno journey
  17. Wayne, Congrats! Is ur place in Tanjong Pagar? Or Chinatown?
  18. How is your stairs progressing? Show pictures leh ...
  19. Your staircase railing looks really exciting! 3D mould for railing.... I wonder how the end product would look like? Jia You!
  20. Now u got to wait for 2nd appt.....meanwhile u can start planning for reno. & getting the right contractor. This forum will give u a good insight. Congrats again kchinbeng
  21. Mine is very small too just like urs. I installed wc for toilet and basin outside... Now even smaller.
  22. That robot cleaner, does it really work? I m looking for one too.... One that can vacuum and mop my floor. Haha
  23. The cute sink looks very nice and unique. U mean it is not wall hung? One concern is practicality.... It's long and narrow, so will the water be splashing on us or on the floor during washing. I bought from Lucky Khoon one of those cute wall hung triangular sink where I could place in a corner....I quite like it coz it doesnt take up too much space
