  1. Apart fro location n COV, it is about feeling good if I were to stay in it.
  2. U need to be mentally prepared for any changes in the course of the reno n also for surprises which can either make u smile or cause ur blood to boil. Whatever it is, still need to remain calm n patient to resolve unsettled issues. Hopefully it is a win-win situation.... Nobody loses. If u read my reno blog, I too had many unpleasant n awkward experiences with my ID but eventually we managed to work out peacefully n professionally. Hope everything will work out 'swee swee' for u!
  3. EA tend to be very spacious n convenient for old folks as they do not need to worry abt going up/down the stairs in EM. Show us ur layout.
  4. In that case, then minor reno would be sufficient. If it is move in condition, u may not even have to do anything. How long do u intend to stay in this EM? Anyway the "Chinatown" theme is very unique.
  5. I think as long as it doesn't block the passage way. I only get offended if neighbours hang their undergarments along the passageway n have to smell them each time I walk past!
  6. Hi Exman, u r right! The yard concept is somewhat quite similar, except my yard space is smaller and rectangular in layout, giving more room for kitchen. The idea is segregation, so that toilet n laudry n rubbish chute cannot be seen.
  7. Could even be more, depending on number of points n Also no of lighting n fan n heaters.
  8. Nice progress! Soon u would be able to move in to a beautifully transformed house. Cheers!
  9. I agree with EXman abt ur layout. Everything seems to be in the right proportion. The room in level 1 is a proper bedroom too
  10. R u going for an overhaul or keeping some of the existing design?
  11. Will wait to watch Ep 5....... How many days did they take? Do they have to bring in their own furniture?
  12. Welcome in joining the ranks of EM owners! What is the size of ur EM? I m sure u can transform ur "Chinatown" EM to a beautiful place
  13. Ms Wan, ur place is beautifully done up! Your breakfast table in the kitchen is custom made? Where can I buy the high stools? Thx
  14. U r keeping ur "Chinatown" theme staircase? It is the 1st I ve seen for an EM, very unique. Is it the same theme for the other place? Do share more pre-reno pics of your place.
  15. Hi May, which scene in the link should I be looking? Aiya.... I think looking at the pics in ur blog is better than looking at the scene in the episode..... Haha:) Media Corp should feature more on ur home.

  17. Welcome to this forum! Great to have u start a forum. Your English is alright and can be easily understood, so no worries Where is the ulu ulu place u mention? U may also want to contribute your thoughts or get ideas from other EM owners in another blog : http://www.renotalk.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=4853&st=4120 But must warn u that it is a record 104 page long.
  18. My ID never do EM before. I m lucky coz I think he under quoted my reno when I did mine last yr. Yes plenty of hiccups, but when comes to $$$ .... I rather "live within my budget".
  19. I like ur kitchen.... Lots of storage space, so can hide a lot of things.
  20. Ur Reno cost is more than 70k?
  21. 60k to 70k seems to be the norm for EM reno nowadays. I renovated mine a yr ago.
  22. Interesting really bring back old memories of my childhood.... Cool
