  2. koikoi, what door u r choosing? your bedrooms one? hehehhee.. ya.. your paying time coming soon.. Thanks.. it's a big shoe cabinet.. my sis still ask me to go count and estimate how many pairs of shoes i can put inside. hahaha...
  3. our carpentry stuffs are up! vanity cabinet for MBR toilet our WIW shoe cabinet with setee kitchen cabinets never took alot of photos cos wasn't feeling too well, will take more pics the next time. most of the stuffs are done, left with solid surface top for kitchen and mbr toilet, installation of mirror and basin in mbr toilet. now come the siong time... cleaning!! we have to go back tmr and start cleaning up!
  4. hmmm.... C8 9pm show got wallpaper on the wall meh??
  5. thks! it's few hundreds for each wall.. yup she will be coming thanks!
  6. hehehe!! ya the living room one is those textured kind but seemed like can't really see the pattern. we got the ID to do for us. it's not from goodrich, can't remember which brand of wallpaper is that. dunno if lurgee remember or not.. hehe oic... but got girl also good mah.. can dress them up pretty pretty
  7. thanks we had a hard time choosing the wallpapers cos all of them looks good. hehe!! wah!! baby gal... good good! so now she got 2 beautiful girls liao.. !!
  8. i think it will look better to go all handle-less if you are not installing handles for the other cabinets. what is triangle rule?
  9. doing curtains also give us headache.. initially we went to a curtain shop in beauty world, we were quoted 3.4K then after changing all the roman blinds to normal curtains, the quote became 2.1K then we went to another curtain shop in clementi, we were quoted 1.4K so much difference from the first one we went. at least i know the string curtains and the material for the day curtains is cheaper here but for night curtains not much choices that we like. so now in a dilemma of which to choose. both of them are coming down to do measurement tomorrow and we had paid a small deposit for the clementi one already. will it be weird if we get 2 different curtain shops to do different things?
  10. no ah.. ours is $300, the $200+ one is nyatoh door, the cheaper one. do u have any recommendation where to do sliding door, those veneer or laminated wood kind?
  11. nope. we added it in later.
  12. not much updates when we went back yesterday, except that they had fixed up doors for the bedrooms. MBR door Guestroom door the feel of the door surface is quite "raw", don't know if they will give it a coat of lacquer or not. actually i was rather angry that they fixed up a door stopper for both the doors. we were not told that the door comes with a door stopper. we had wanted to fix our own smaller kind and not the huge plastic "hdb kind". so now we ended up with the big and ugly ones. furthermore they install it on my laminate skirting! so if we want to change the stopper, there will be holes in the skirting!
  13. went to your blog! very nice!! the perspective drawings very impressive mbr toilet mosaic wall tiles
  14. i think you had disabled your pm.. can't pm you pm-ed you already you had seen my perspective design pics at my t-blog already right?
  15. i'm also not that particular about such things.. only lurgee does. that's last time lah.. not free mah.. hehehe.. now we all also never have gatherings liao.. hehe
  16. i very seldom fly kite on ppl leh.. hehehe!
  17. ya.. but we quite lazy to go source for another quote. hehe.. now i'm wondering if those ready made roman/roller blinds from spotlight will it be cheaper than those custom made frm curtain shops one. initially we also thought of having parquet flooring for rooms but decided that laminate will be a better option cos of the cost and the number of colours available. mine only bedrooms and study room laminate flooring.
  18. thanks koikoi but we found some parts of the skirting not done properly, still have to ask them to fix it. yup hope we can get the curtains to be lower till around 1K+ very broke already.. if curtains also need to pay so much then i think i might have to go curtain-less first. hehehe... cos we decided to install windows for the balcony and svc balcony already.. thanks ivory.. sure! actually we only went to this curtain shop, haven't really go to other curtain shop to get any quotes yet. maybe see if this shop can give us good price then we might just stick to this shop. i'm planning to have day and night curtains for living room, guest room and MBR. 3 roman blinds, 1 roller blinds and a string curtain for study room and my WIW room. ya we choosed the more expensive material for day curtains think have to change to cheaper ones. we were also told that roman blinds more expensive, so maybe may change to all roller blinds. thanks! i'm using kronotex laminates, don't have the exact model name now but i think it's Teak Select PR.
  19. wow! nice house, hencpu!! pics looks just like those in home deco mags
  20. the laminate flooring for our house had finished and cove lightings also done. some parts of the common toilet wall tiles had to be replaced so today some workers came can remove the basin and cabinet. view of the rooms thru the study room window laminated floor in Study room laminated floor in MBR today we also went to a curtain shop to get quotation for our house and it's $3400 for the whole house!! but it's estimated price cos we don't have the actual measurement and the material we choosed were the more expensive ones. wait till they come down to do the actual measurement and we have to re-select the materials.
  21. we didn't thought of having a glass bi-fold door initially, then furthermore the switch to turn on the kitchen lights is so close to the entrance and it will be hidden behind the door. so a bi-fold door will be good enuff for the switch position. ended up we re-position the switch further in to accomodate the swing door. then we realised that we can actually get a bi-fold one but kinda too late already... hehehe.. the stripey "feature wall" is actually string curtains as suggested by ID. ya we only saw allo's pic of her nice toilet. seem like such sales always at expo.. so far for me.. hmm.. maybe if have time we will also go down cos need to get an oven. dunno if they will sell it during the sales or not..
  22. that's an interesting idea!! LOL!! hehehe.. sure or not.. that sign is for you lah... my house not suitable for that sign cos it is smoke-free one. hehehe!!
  23. you got "frosted" parts on your door? if it's at eye level then not too bad. i think for mine, i need to find some nice stickers to stick on the door. ya lor.. need to find some nice stickers to stick on the door. then u got do anything to your glass door?
  24. we only got it about 1/2 wk after our reno had started, when we were choosing our materials for carpentry and laminates. i think consider quite late already, seemed like ppl always get to see theirs before the reno starts. maybe u can check with your ID?
  25. latte, i got the invoice for my lights but it's all stated in part numbers then can't really confirm which is which. but i think it should be either $68 or $88 yup ID told us that he should be able to handover in 2 weeks time. then need to find a good date to move in. now need to think of ways to make the kitchen door more visible. think sure will have ppl walking right into the door and knocking their head
