  1. Appreciate the inputs. Really good points there. In that case will play safe and go with SS. Thanks.
  2. Wow Wow ...very nice reno you did. Congrat
  3. Hi everyone, Would like your opinions and comments from forumer here who got a glass cook top with gas type (not viturous type) and cooks a lot for the family everyday...any issues with the cleaning of the glass top? Was told by the sales person that must wait about 1hr for the glass top to cool down (after doing a long continous cooking say 1-2hr) before do any cleaning on the glass top as the glass is still warm-hot...is it true? Any other disadvantages with the glass top that you experiences. Our maid is usually do all the cooking...and you know how certain maid work... Deciding today (Fri) to get the hob..most likely a stainless steel type but defintely prefer the looks of the glass top.
  4. All the best to you Just keep communication & updates flowing with you & ID.
  5. $3150 for 5005.2 and $2350 for 3005 model. Think 5005.2 it's better to go in the living room. Kind of expensive to put in mbr...don't you think so?
  6. Hey mollycoddle, nice renovation on your place. Beautiful dining light...is it crystal type? Great pictures of your holiday (esp the Japan pics)
  7. Totally agree with sumobear & Cantona7. Dirt cheap may not be the best in the long run. Most important is good service (now & in the future), materials & workmanship...off course cost is also a major factor. You can consider Ideal House Id to see if they meet your requirements. I find them very responsive, good service (esp the manager) & competitive pricing during our initial search for ID.
  8. Hi xlan, Thanks for your reply. Fully agree with your vote...this also the most good looking & also the most expensive of the bunch....only problem is i need to wall mounted on the rear so it does look a bit big (compares to those satelite speakers). Btw, your webpage/blog is very informative & very nice Is the products available here or only in HK?
  9. Using TV buit-in speaker currently ... Yes 80% movie & 20% music. Planning to get the following 5.1 satellite speakers MT-1, MA R90 or KEF. What do you think and which one with you get....better sound or better look speaker? B&W MT-1 MA R90 in black color off course ) KEF 3005 KEF 5002
  10. My appology as misunderstood your question !! Yes, will be getting the universal DVD player & AVR amp (Denon 28xx), Marantx 8001 or now thinking the new Onkyo TX-805) to drive the speakers. Actually PS3 can play SACD i heard !! but cannot play the other format HD-DVD.
  11. Yes, that is what you expect if viewing on full HD and your source HD. Planning to get Plasma (but unfortunately may not have the time to wait or $$$ for the Full HD version of Pioneer 8G Plasma) for better movie experience and local channel viewing. So looking at new Pioneer 5080 model in a few months time. But should the LCD Full HD price come down drastically (which i'm anticipating and hoping) as competitions heating up i might just get the Full HD LCD (Samsung or Sony). My source will be Blue-ray on PS3. Any advice? What are your config now? Thanks
  12. Thanks mist & oonik grl. The living room is big but not big as you imagine as camera wide angle shot does play a bit part in it
  13. Very nice clean cut look. Great stuff
  14. Must have posted wrong forum or try to be funny. Moderator/Admin, please delete the above post and all the others in other threads. This user (Anenceterhaup) just registered this morning and post sensor links. Thanks
  15. Just finished hacking our place …what a mess Look at that mountain full of rubbish …. One thing I noticed is that the company workers are very responsible, considerate and try not to make our neighbours inconvenients Example is the workers will regularly swept the entrance area & nearby stairs where debris fallen to avoid any injuries to others.
  16. Hi Myi, Nice renovation you got there. Love the rain shower accessories you got there. Great bright colors. Cheers
  17. Hi Tim, Is better to rewire the whole unit if your place is very old (especially >20yrs). Not sure if the last owner renovation 12yr ago did any rewiring? As for the price, this depends on how many lightng & power points you planning to have. Also if any SP testing is to be done.
  18. Went shopping over the weekend for bathroom accessories & furnitures. Too many choices
  19. Hey oonik grl, You have our support too. I'm sure things will be better and please be strong & focus to both of you. Cheers
  20. Hi snowpear, My layout is similar as your place. Total rundown and same ugly original pipes Happy renovating
  21. Hey, if things are not going your way best is to stay cool & relax and try not to do too much. Next day will be a much better day... Yup, heavy downpour... Cheers
  22. A good break from RenoTalk so decided to take pics of Twisties band
  23. Yes, was also very tempted on the Panny due to its price. Got quoted $3888 for teh 50inch new model. The 42inch was going for $2199 at the PC show just recently. Pioneer 428 & 5080 For those planning to get the 8th Generation Plasma TV from Pioneer...all i can say is it's going worth the wait when it arrived here locally. The black levels and colors are so amazing from comments so far... It's definitely the new King of Plasma and a walkover over competitors. The Pioneer PDP-508XG has just been registered with PSB I think this is the 16,000:1 contrast ratio and 1365x768 resolution model. Full HD resolution is expected around end of year worldwide. I just post comments in another forum about first hand user experiences on the 8G Plasma from Pioneer. User comments are here in AVS forum... Looking forward to this screen here locally Here are some pics and comparisons. Pio PDP-508XG (pic from XtremePlace forum) Pio 4280 Vs Panny 58PX60U (pic from AVS forum)
  24. I'm also intend to get the following F&P top loading 8.5kg washing machine & 5kg F&P dryer before 1st July. Heard to many good recommendation about F&P from friends & parents using in Oz (quite a popular brand there). Totally agree on Veronica at Mega. Bought our fridge there last week . Only issue is she is too busy (due to popularity) most of the time with clients so you need to wait for your turn.
  25. Thanks for the advice & comments. Guess must be one of those days for me where the sales person is too busy...It was not Teka oven (cos i know quite well the product) that i enquired but the promo Franke oven & sink.
