Noisy Flat... How To Solve?
Angel M replied to cornetto's topic in RENOVATION IDEAS: Interior Design Themes, Space Planning
Hiya, you can try using the noiseblock window, they are the company that are doing the proper sound insulation window, its not like the thin local double glazed windows. I know trust me i have tried everything and thought that couldnt do anythng then i found nytc and they had a 50mm thick window that i though **** that has to be good -
Hi hi, You either can block your window off or get a new window. My advice is that you need to get a proper window, not something made locally. I am using the new noiseblock window 360 system which is the best window i have had so far. When i first got to Singapore i had double glazing fitted and it was to thin and didn't do anything, i changed my windows and still the quality was not working. The problem i found is that no one knows anything about sound proofing or sound reduction windows. I tried saphire and sophena and still not the results i wanted. Im living in a landed property and i have 3 windows installed by 3 different companies lol. Then i found NYTC and got there 50mm thick window it has sorted all the problems, it may not look as nice as saphire but it works and thats what i wanted. This is my advice cos i spent far to much on the windows and so i dont want anyone else to get this problem again. Last thing the price from nytc is better than saph who were charging double for a thiner window lol

Sound Proofing From Noisy Neighbour On Top

Hiya, Many people think that using thermal insulation rockwool can solve the problem, it cant, because the density is far to low. In singapore allmost all of the stuff people are using is the wrong stuff. Like double glazing windows that are used in cold countries to trap heat. Try looking at the NoiseBlock products they are proper sound insulation materials. The rockwool didnt work cos its to low you need 160kg density and above and i think only NYTC Noiseblock is available in singapore to do this. Try giving them a ring, there website is www.ny-tc.com I used them before and i was more than happy with the results. -
Hiya, Try NYTC 62767453. Rockwool is not the answer, you need to have other materials too, and if you get thermal grade rockwool it doesnt stop or block the noise just makes your room hotter.

Soundproofing Bedroom

Hiya, windows are very difficult to work with, there are so many contractors that don't know sh$$ about what they are doing. Double glazing doesnt working in singapore cos the glass thickness is to thin, pvc is normally a crappy quality and the alu is really bad. For best sound reduciton, you can use the noiseblock glass overlay material that works with your exisiting frame, or you can replace the whole window with the NYTC sound reduction window. It took a long time to find this window after so many problems, but its proven to work better than anything else at least its the same standard as what i had before in france. as mentioned, i have had double glazing, pvc and replacment alu and they didnt work at all. -
Hiya, i recently had my room soundproofed for my music and i needed to also cut the noise from upstairs. I used a company called NYTC they did a good job and i thought the price was fair. I checked with other companies around and people dont really have much idea on this, or they want to charge crazy money. Hope this helps you, i have there number somewhere if you want it.
