My house also done by him.. was recommended by one of the Reno talkers here. I did see quite a bit of comments about him (neg & pos) & of course, I would still proceed my assessment meeting all of them b4 I commit. Although his quote may not the fastest compare the others.. but the lowest & importantly he is flexible to work within my budget. However, there are also some issues along the way; washing machine base laid incorrectly & window grille not properly installed. I called up to him & he immediately rectify with his subcon & get it fixed quite quickly. I'm not sure how his clients think about him.. but personally I find he is quite a fast acting person & probably the rapport we have established that I don't doubt his responsibility. Nonetheless, I hope you guys will get your problem rectified & solved.

I did experience the same issue too.. there is a long pipe laying around my toilet bowl, making uneasy for me to clean most time However, I disconnected the pipe at the outlet whereby the water rinses in the toilet rather going around the toilet bowl.

I guess your contractor may owe some outstanding money to the subcon.. perhaps, he asked them to steal from you

Sometimes I felt this industry is full of dishonest & greed. It's really a matter of luck whether you got a right person you have engaged. Even relatives or friends also can con you!! However, I know quite a bit friends around doing property, renovation & servicing lines. Just think.. they have no high educational papers, most started from low up, or perhaps from the family's biz. They can be friends sitting in the coffeeshop, cafe or pub for drinks together.. but not engage them for service They have told me it's better that I source for myself by taking some advises from them, whereas they know that we could may have conflict along the way & we would not want that eventually. So I have been DIY for all of my stuff.. including renovation recently. And I guess RenoTalk community is the only forum I can find many info & contacts. The contractor cum ID also recommended by one of the Renotalkers here

Used to stay on 25th floor for over 10 years.. the living hall viewing is awesome & no blockage around hall, balcony & all rooms. The wind is flowing into the house throughout whole day & only turned ON aircon during hot season. Now moved to a low floor unit.. really can't get used to it

During my sourcing.. I have sent out many emails to renovation ID's & contractors. iDzign is one of them & their 1st quote was impressive fast.. however some items a bit missed tally based on my requirements. So called up & spoken to Mr.D to rectify those items. No attitude & very friendly lad.. took down all my queries & promise to revise the quote & send to me again shortly. Then, no news from him & I also not keen as his first quote still on the high side among others.

I have sent him txt's & email but I did not meet up or know him. Based on some threads here, believe there are many RenoTalkers have had engaged with him. Probably you can try to understand from them & situation may not see what you have thought.

Sorry to hear that.. hope it could be resolved. I have many contacts from friends, colleagues & of course recommended by few cool dudes in RenoTalk. I sent them queries & meetup with them.. something that took up sometimes b4 commit. I'm not sure how many times you have met up with him, or perhaps "know him" & commit so quickly.
