Its from nova lah. Installation if were to judge from my past experience is good and ballast still functional till now(has been 2 yrs). Bulb change once in two yrs. Please comment.

Rb, thanx for the advice. For onkyo series wat do u recommend for a titan pair, ctr, and a pair of surround. I currently have JBL CS100 (ctr/ surround). Do i need to stick to onkyo or would u recommend other brands of avr. My main concern is that i just dun want my ht to be underpower or else i rather just use the tv default spkr. I experience once with my fren ht. His harmon/kardon avr is down and he replace it with a yamaha avr without doing enuf research. Since then movie isnt as good as before. Its loud but the effect just dun delivers as before. Poor fren. And also not to be too powerful of coz. Just wanna avoid neighbours knocking on my door.

Onkyo tx sr508. Will it support paradigm titan bokkshelves. Or do i need a better avr. Im planning to set up 5.1. Please comment. Thank you in advance.

Okie. Now i understood. So i will just have to get a set which could manage the speakers well. Thanx so much rb for the useful knowledge. If 1 day i could afford a highend hifi like urs. U will be my guide. Will keep u updated on my progress. Currently doing furniture hunting. Next will be my HT.

Rb, correct me if im wrong please. Here are the setup i understand from your write up. 1. Digital out from bluray player to digital input on AVR1. 2. 2 surround spkrs & ctr direct out from AVR1. 3. Preout 1 from AVR1 direct to Subwoofer. 4. Preout 2 from AVR1 direct to power amp and from power amp speaker out will handle main L/R. Do i get step 4 correct? This is totally new to me. Anyway a power amp is ONLY applicable for those using high end speakers right? Thanx in advance my fren.

Please enlighten me on this. Avr should do the job for a 5.1 system rite.? Why do we need a power amp when the avr already handles the sound well. Or is it for sound enhancement? My knowledge is so shallow on this. Do i need more than 1 AVR'? How much power per channel is best for a floorstand speakers, rear, ctr, and 12 inch sub. ? I have not decide to purchase any system yet, just wanna absorb knowledge abt hts so wont get con by sales prices. Thanks in advance fellow experts.

Thanx rb for the advise and i would like to share with all my shortlisted systems if i have manage to find those of my choice. And i welcome ur reviews. My last best sound system i guess is a NAD integrated amp and 2 way JBL bookshelve. Cant recall the exact model number. The amp went missing when i move house in 1997 i guess. Sharp treble and i should say good bass as no sub were used. That i only use for music and not movies. Even my dad love it. Hope to own a good one this yr end with the help of u all the sounds forumers. Thannx in advance.

Wats ur opinion of a 5.1 system which comes with those small small speakers and sub? Or should i get a floorstand or bookshelf? I gonna put in my living room. Wat i expect of my ht is they should be able to create heavy accurate bass and the vocal and instrument sound must be crisp. Eg. Shoul be able to listen clearly to the sound of glass shattering . Wow. Care to comment please. My budget is very low and max is 2k please and honestly i would prefer a floorstand coz it looks great in my living room.

Bought 2 square bedroom lights, 1 round kitchen light, 1 super nice dining light, 1 service yard light and 1 celing fan with 5 light fittings. Total 1100 plus install. Wat do you all think of the price?
