Bro, I think they are located in Furniture Mall, do read through the renotalk forum before you decide to go. In case you really like it and purchase from them, do remember to ask them to write every detail in the invoice as there are too many bad comments last 2 years. Only this yr, they started to have some ok comment. I hope that Mavis from Species is what you saw in KL cos I really scared it is not. Regards Desmond

Hi Bro, I put downpayment at Species Home Furnishing for this Mavis brand fabric sofa, I book their package for $5,988 for Sofa + Dinning Table + 4 Dinning Chair + Coffee Table + TV Console. I heard from their boss saying this Mavis brand is selling at what you mentioned RM10,000 - RM20,000. Is it really that expensive ? Maybe you can go to Species Home to take alook, whether is it the same set as what you see in KL. But one thing to note, Species Home has quite a no. of bad comment in this renotalk forum, Hoping for your reply after your visit. Regards Desmond

Dear All, Thank you for all your advise.. Any one of you did purchase the same package as what i purchase ? I think the sofa is good but the package seem very expensive as $5,988 can buy alot of stuff. Sofa + Coffee Table + TV Console + Dining Table + 4 dining chairs = $5,988.00 If the sofa cost $2,688 then the remaining of the 4 items cost $3,300 ? Way to expensive i guess. Is maybe true that chances are that they won't cancel the order, hope they are able to negotiate for the sofa with the deposit $2,988.. I believe $3,000 can buy Coffee Table + TV Console + Dining Table + 4 Dining Chairs easily. Is really a hard decision.... Regards Desmond

Hi Icer, I think the CEA is right as we as buyers cant prove any thing in this kind of situation. Unless the seller is unhappy with the agent and the seller report him... I believe this is alway a case when $$ come in place, the agent maybe buddy with any agent to earn the other buyers' commission. If you were him, will you choose the other buyers in this situation... For me, yes but what to do ?? $$ everybody want.. Regards Desmond

Hi bro thezard, I think is better not to mention or do what you say abt the below.. It is breaching the rule and regulation as agents are not allow to collect any $$ from buyers & sellers at all. This is going to be a offence, if i am not wrong the agent maybe suspended. As for the buyer, i dunno whether will be penalise or not. What i believe is that if everything go well then we as buyer can really save few K. Touch wood, if it goes wrong then we may lose more than that few k. I heard cases like buyer deposit / option fee gone due to some procedure not done properly and the option expired which we may think that we know all of the procedure. Personnally, I find that the procedure is getting more confuse as more and more rules and regulation..( this situation can buy, that situation cant buy) I guess the best way is to get your agent friend to help and nego on the commission instead of losing more in case we miss out something. no problem giving a ‘tip’ or small fee but try not to because it may will become ‘market practice’. Hi all, I just place an order with Species at last week expo... the bad feedback worry me alot.. I have place deposit of $2988 for $5988 package. I really agreed with you guys is that their salesman are really hard sale.. I was like not allow to leave the booth and the lady serving me is somehow like keep bad mouthing other brand or company product which me and my wife dont quite like. She keep telling us how good their furniture are, but i really have to agreed that their furnitures look classy...with a XXXX price. I really dunno how and what i should do now... stay with it and wait for all the furnitures to deliver to us then start to complain ??? or should we cancel the order ?? Any one advise me ? I actually went to Court at Tamp, the sale promoter introduce me the Samsung new model Crystal S-Inverter with MPI Doctor at $2699 c/w 5 years warranty. Is it good ?
