hey techaview, love ya loft themed home! dig those switches and it def blends in well with ya theme! awaiting for more pictures!

another forumer informed me where to get them and indeed they are also much cheaper after asking around. just some info to share, most brands only have Warm White or Cool Daylight colour for E27 as its not that popular yet as this can be seen in the limited designs of E27 downlights available. Chan Huat only had 2 designs, one in white and other in brushed metal finish. cheapest i've asked for E27 14W Philips are around $4.50-$5.50 nett per pcs. for those looking for Cool White will need to look for GE brand of bulbs. cheers! merfmerf

anyone knows where to get the cheapest E27 light bulbs? i bought my lights from ChanHuat today but they told me they run out of stocks for Cool-White and only left 25W sized which is larger then the downlight holder. would greatly appreciate if anyone could let me know thanks! cheers merfmerf

actually they also told me the same thing, but when i checked with my ID, he says its going to be very tough to route the fiber cables if using those electrical trunkings, dun wish for them to cut hole here and there on my extended false wall either. however it dint cross my mind to use those drainage pipings, maybe might still be possible. will check with him and see if it can still be done? if not, will just have to settle for exposed trunking. i dint sign up with any telco coze i had the impression that they would ask me to get opennet to do the TP first then can i get them to come to do up the rest so i liased directly with opennet instead. maybe i go sign up with one and see if the appt can be brought forward? you went with which telco?

wow bro! great progress on your flat! i see you did alot of box-ups to hide all the pipes, did you also boxed up the aircon trunkings? im also having issues with opennet as well, paying is one thing. but i doubt i'll be able to hide the trunking due to the appt only later in dec as they aren't not able to come down in time before my carpenters put up the wall features and false wall to hide all this and the TP.

thanks alot for the info bro, at first i was kinda hesitant to let them lay this way, and wanted them to use the common toliet to route the waste water, but since this would be hidden behind the door, i dun think it would be too obvious after paint is up. today went shopping again and bought my kitchen sink and tap from Poh Seng. Kitchen Sink with detergent dispenser Onimi Italia Kitchen Tap saw this swee swee large wall hung basin by OTTO at Hupfarri (not to be mistaken with Hafary Tiles) wondering anyone else knows where to find large wall hung basins like this would greatly appreciate anyone's input!

MBR Fancoil Unit Installed BD1 Fancoil Unit Installed BD2 Fancoil Unit Installed Compressor Unit Installed Initally had difficulty getting the compressor out of the small window opening in the MBR, but with much maneuvering, managed to get it out onto the ledge to have it installed onto the bracket.
-
Laying of Trunking from Compressor outside MBR window to various fancoils units this area under the beam will be our wardrobe area so the trunking will be hidden inside.

heres some updates on my home reno progress. the aircon guys from GainCity came to fix up the Panasonic System 3 we bought at a relatively good price during one of their promos. understand that there were some negative feedbacks on Panasonic A/C systems but still went ahead as it was the lowest price point then, if we had more funds would have opt for ME Starmex or Toshiba. nonetheless, on with the pics! Fancoils Units Compressor holes drilled into the storeroom walls to hide the trunkings to BD1 leading into BD1

Bro, im also contemplating to install tinted windows or not, coze my unit itself has very low light source due to the design of the block. but yours being high floor still not so bad, low floor like mine have tints would be good for more privacy. sian, dunno how to choose.

Hi Sis, thanks for the pics of ya layout, it gives a better idea where the bedrooms are located and heres to wishing you a speedy and smooth sailing reno!
-
Hi Bro, greetings and congrats to your new place, btw its is very near my parent's place which is also along Ave3. As for aircon wise, the popular brands are Mitsubishi Electric, Toshiba, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Daikin etc. I've checked on ME Starmex prices and the smaller outfits charges around 2.8k+ (similar to the quote you gotten) to around 3.3k from bigger retailers like Courts, HN or Best Denki with Credit Facility, they also throw in a few other freebies like extended warranty or free tv etc. You could try giving Aron from Imperial a PM or try other retailers like AllBest/Gaincity/Coolserve etc. Happy finding the best deal for ya aircon installation! Cheers MeRf

Hdb Floorplans: The Best (And Worst) Layouts In Public Housing
MeRfMeRf replied to PublicLife's topic in Reno t-Blog Chat
wow those "pizza slices" are even harder to plan... wonder whats were those planners thinking when they designed the flats and layouts... -
Hi Sophia, welcome to RT, will be looking forward to ya progress on the home reno, do you happen to have the layout which we can see?
-
Hi Prody, ya most welcomed! i tink having a bathtub would def be luxurious, however like you mentioned, hdb comes with micro toilets, so i think its gonna be really tough fitting one in, even with hacking and extending the toilet size. mine lagi worst, after the hollow block wall is up, my shower area is really miniscule, there is still a glass partition to be installed ontop of the shower area hollow block.
