Another way is to put a piece of thin wooden board over the trunking, then paint over it.
I think it should be less obvious to the eyes than putty covering the gaps.
Neighborhood hardware shops sell wooden planks but cutting them to the size you want may be tedious.
Simplest way is to ask contractor do a plasterboard over it. Confirmed nice-looking
I done so for my house
Hi, i've thought of it before but wooden planks need to have a bracket to be mounted on the wall right?
For me, i have some gypsum board but am not sure how to use the board to cover it.
I do not want to pay my contractor to do the boxup loh...

Thanks for sharing your pics!
Why you need the cement slabs to divide the piece of land? For different plants?
Hope you can post more pics soon! =)

I'll go take the pics and post it here during the weekends. =)
Hi, this is for my BR3.
This is for my BR2.
The boxup that i've done is like the above, putting another layer of trunking to fill the gap. Then use patty to close up the gaps and paint over it.

why don't u try drilling the gypsum board to the door instead?
in this case, it can still be removed in future with ease...
Good idea! But that door is a metal door and i'm not sure if HDB approve of us drilling it or not leh...

Erm... not sure wat kind of PVC sheet you want but you can try Formica?
They sell plywood laminates. So i think they might sell adhesive PVC sheet also.

Hi guys, just to share, i noticed when renovation takes place, there are alot of wastages of materials by the contractors.
Eg. Gypsum board, Plywood, PVC Pipes, Trunkings and even Tempered Glass!
Cos i feel that when we DIY, our project may be a small and don't need much materials. These materials threw away by the contractors can definately help us alot in our own DIY making!
If you want, you can make a trip to flats in Punggol area that are currently doing renovation. They simply throw it away at the rubbish chute area or near the lift. You can just take it. (I've got myself a few plywood and gypsum boards...)
And i also saw a whole new piece of plywood laminates being thrown away. So wasteful loh!

can post a pic of current condition?
I'll go take the pics and post it here during the weekends. =)

can check out those hardware store for adhesive glue(construction grade), come in silicon tubing type.
U mind sharing why u want to use adhesive glue?
Hi, cos i got some very big piece of left-over gypsum board and intend to paste onto my house-hold shelter door so that it flushes with the wall.
If you look at the pics above, the shelter door was about 10mm inwards to the wall. So i'm thinking if i can add one more layer of 10mm thickness to the door and flush it with the wall.
So that i can paint over and do some wall art using decals. =)

Hi. Does anyone knows what is the proper glue to use for gypsum board? Thanks!

Hi,
I would like to have some ideas on how to box up the aircon trunking.
For a corner of my Master Bedroom, the aircon trunking is kind of an eye sore. I asked the air-con guy to put in additional trunking to hide the hollow part of the wall.
Then i used a patty to cover the lines that divide the trunking and used paint to paint over, just like its part of the wall.
I've also seen my contractor using some aluminium sheet to box-up as well. Do you know where can i get these kind of aluminium sheets?
Can anyone share your ideas if you've done your own box-up?
Thanks! =)

She is asking for master cheng, not master chang.

So the 12 chinese words above are 12 earthly branch used to read 八字。if i am born at 9pm n u born wt 10pm that means we are the same 八字。
Hi shaggydog,
I've read the whole of your thread and i would only pay attention to your first post.
Since Master Kwek helped you in getting the family reunited, do pay attention to the red string and the removal of the mirror. Never to put the mirror back again.
And if you were to shift house or rearranging your furniture (the bed), i think you better consult Master Kwek again.
Else this stance might break and it might be worst.
Just my 2 cents worth.

Can anybody pm me master cheng number because I am going to get my key soon. Thanks
Hi MJQueen, u mean Master Chang? I've pmed u.

Thanks! But will it be feasible to paint them? Will the paint peel off easily? Especially if the pipes i intend to paint are in the toilets.
Yup, its like a must. Go buy a solvent base primer as it locks out moisture and fungus.
Primer are used like an adhesive between the object and the paint. If you did not use a primer and just paint the color directly on to the object, it will not last and the color coat may be easily peeled off.

they have wood in many shapes and sizes.
plywood have many thickness, i also bought solid wood there before (not sure what species though).
cut one piece not a problem at all, they serve retail customers & contractors.
went there 2weeks in a row and the boss recognised me... but the real reason for going there was to go there for food, then happen to drop by...
Woah!!! Thats great!
Thanks for the recommendations! I will pop by soon!

Hi all,
Would like to check if it is possible to actually paint over the stainless steel water pipes we have at home? Anybody have any advice or experience on that?
Yup, think you have to use a primer for the first coat, before you paint with the colour paint.

do share if u can find these curved rods in spore. meanwhile anyone noes where can i find square ones?
Hi, squares one can be found at Ikea or shops that sells bathroom accessories.
Can you post a pic here and let me have a look?
-
Hi!! If you find them can you let me know?? I think these may have to be custom made but I'm cracking my head what's an unusual thing to use, thought of hanging hula hoops
Hula hoops? Hehe...
Ya, i'm checking with my friend and he might be able to make for me using a flat stainless steel bar instead of rounded one.
He works in a metal fabrication company.
I saw alot of these from other countries but its very expensive.
-
Hi, does anyone knows where to buy these shapes of shower rods or i need to custom made one?
Seems like the common shapes are U shape and square shape.
-
oh the plywood at art fren is cut throat la.
do google for Ban Heng Leong (my new found favourite place for wood supply).
they cut wood on the spot for u. Boss is friendly.
Spotlight also carries chalkboard paint, but variety is wider at art frens.
Now they have chalkboard paint in many colours as well.
Oh... will they sell you a small single piece of wood or they only willing to sell in larger quantities?
How about the thickness? They got alot of wood thickness also? =)
