Actually the age doesn't turn me off at all ! I was looking at areas like tpy, stirling rd, etc. which is all near 40 years.. what bothers me is that alot of them are I model.. which does not have a toilet in the MBR... i tink sugardaddy meant that since the unit is old, will end up spending alot on reno.. but after some years, hdb might enbloc it (SERS) and you might waste the reno.. but then again, SERS usually will piority to buy a new house and the locations of the new house is even better !!

Honestly, if you are owning a HDB, it is not possible for bank to charge lower interest rate than HDB loans.. HDB loan is 2.6% ...

MOP is calculated from date of completion (you are officially the owner)... I have seen cases whereby HDB approves the whole-unit rental when they are still far from MOP. You gotta write in to appeal and is approved base on case to case basis. Various reasons whereby should be able to approve (it is really case to case basis, but those that I know are reasons as below) 1) Overseas work.. sent overseas for a long time 2) They own a hdb shophouse and will be staying on the 2nd floor of their shophouse ( this 1 confirm approved)... so renting out HDB 3) close relative very sick or watever reasons that MUST shift to stay in with them...

I just bought a 3NG in AMK too !!! Will be doing my reno soon and same thing, will be hacking away the storeroom... mind I check , your bed is gonna be a King size of a Queen size... Quite a few friends told me that if we place in a King size, it might be quite squeezy..
