    1) Nope. There was no "constraint" given to us when we sourced for our sinks. But it may be due to some design the ID have in mind for your that is why you were asked to use less than 450mm. As for what "outside" is selling, you can check with them. I got mine from Poh Joo.

  2. My electrician is recommended by the ID... Not sure of their "in-house" electrician. Water Heater, tap etc are seperate cost and we brought them ourselves... Wall plug as in the plastic white box? Well they are included in the cost above. The Electrican used gd quality "mk" brand outlets. I think everyone should lay the Cat6 cables. It is one of the best thing we did.

  4. They are fine. Went online to check the cat6 cable used and they tally. Connected to a gigabit switch and the switch recognised the connection as gigabit.

  6. Well, the total cost for electrical potion of the reno is around $4.5k... See the breakdown below.
  7. Day 41. 30/4/2011. Hand Over! Renovation completed! Spent the last 2 weeks on rectification and touch up works.
  8. Day 29... Got Sharp System 3 Inverter 12 + 9 + 9, 2 times visits installation, SS Bracket, Upgrade insulation to ArmFLEX 1/2 from Gain City: ] The aircon blower is quiet. With "Plasmacluster" Ion technology, the air in the room will be cleaner as it kills virus and molds. Supposed to be better than those "air filter" blower from other brands. The Sharp outdoor unit can be quite loud when it is working at full capacity (24,000 BTU).
  9. Day 27 continue... Kitchen Cabinet: Solid Top and Glass backing installed. The kitchen cabinet is almost complete... The kitchen sink. Comes with useful "catchment" bin in each of the basin. Master bathroom: Accessories installed. Toliet is a 1-piece Baron W303 from Poh Joo ($218). Added a "Smart Bidet SM-100" from Ideal Mechandise ($105).
  10. Day 27: Living Room: Hanging Lights installed at dining area. Effects of the lights on the surrounding wall and ceiling is quite cool. =) TV Room: Glass lay over the TV console creating a "mirror" effect. The 4 CAT 6 network points in the house are all are connected from the TV console. Master bedroom: T5 lights are installed under the platform to create a relaxing mood in the room. =)
  11. Day 26: TV Room: Covered up the sliding glass door railing outside TV Room. Misalignment with L-box rectified.

  14. Day 23 continue... Walk-in wardrobe: Dresser with mirror that can be closed on the left. Pull out full length mirror on the right. Good quality work here. Length: 2.8 metres. Design of the laminate reflected on the floor...
  15. Day 23... Maingate: ID sticked this "Please take out your SHOES before enter" on the maingate. Kitchen: Almost completed! All the doors come with "soft-close" hinges. Missing doors due to "QC" process by their own head carpenter who came to inspect. White box hanging on the right is for microwave oven. Got Rinnai RB-39V(B) 3-Burner Black Tempered Glass Hob and RH-390 Hood from Universal Union for $663.40. Good service and timely delivery. At far end, MN TR210 S/S Sink $280 from Poh Joo. Good buy! Deep and made of good quality steel. Feature wall and Console: Almost done too. Doors come with "soft-close" hinges also.
  16. Day 20... Spent whole day setting up the Kitchen Cabinet... Left most pic... All the ugly piping are boxed-up.
  17. Day 19 Continue... ID fixed a big lobang done by the previous owner's aircon installer:
  18. Day 19: Citygas came to install the Gas pipe... $100 How the Kitchen looks like now... TV Room: Added wood to install the glass panel and sliding door But the wood is not parallel to the ceiling! If you notice, the wood is slanted; such that the downlight at the far end is too close to the wood and has to be removed... ID promised that everything will be straight at the end of the day.... ID managed to smoothen the uneven sealed toilet entrance by plastering... but somehow only the right side got plastered?!.... sigh has to ask ID to arrange to plaster again
  19. Day 17 continue... Master Bathroom: Installed bi-fold door with matching patterns. The heater power point is changed to this grey box at the top... Changed all the wired glass pane to frosted glass. Master Bedroom: Entrance to the Bedroom..
  20. Day 17: PUB Testing... Did the PUB electrical testing today... PASSED TV Room: Fan was reinstalled by the electrician and the scratching sound is gone... feels the wind from this KDK baby fan is weak compared to normal ceiling fan, but should be enough for the TV room. Dining Area: ID suggest install the hanging lights after everything else is up so as to prevent accidential damage to the lights.

  22. Day 15 continue... All the sewage pipes painted with glossy white ICI paint. Waterheater mounted but not connected yet: (707 Alphine $195 from KONG TAI TRADING)
  23. Day 15: Met with ID and she promised to rectified all faults we found so far. She also let me know the faults she found on her own and will rectify them too. Flooring is completed!
