  1. o m g man. your floorplan is similar to mine except the store room. small home 1 toilet, 1 bathroom. small small! you have the protrusion because the previous owner put wall tiles there. somtimes ppl might lean on the gypsum board there and i have it somewhere in my home. it doesnt feel like it can take heavy leaning. but whats the price difference of putting cement and putting board?
  2. choice of new coat is white. 62 white cans used for windows at corridor, mbr and kitchen. this activity can lose quite a substantial amt of fats. tried to use paint. results not that great. the dried paint feel doesnt feel as good as the evenly spray painted metal. too much spray until fingers covered with spray
  3. DIY window grill we like louvre windows and we dont like to pay $2-3k to change all the grills + windows. so we will spray + paint all the window panes and grills in the flat. thank u wife for helping . we took 1.5 weeks to spray paint it. things we learnt: 1. first coat is good to be thin 2. buy eye goggles and mask 3. never going to do this again. in the first pic attached below... the grills were the killer. have to spray upside, downside, leftside, rightside. you cant do it one shot or the spray paint will thicken and then form puddle of paint. once sprayed then need to let it properly dry 2 hrs. then later come back again and again to continue. 4. should have sand it down first for better adhesion First must remove the years of dust. omgwtfbbqwth next cover the glass portion of the windows. ok at least its cleaned now.
  4. anyone who has seen such kinda cups in sg, can pls drop a msg to me?

  10. ok so after discussion with the carpenter who will go back to the factory to manufacture the main body, the wetworks has been done and tiles in the toilet up. definitely a happy place to get a tummy-ache
  11. i hope all of you will benefit from these exchanges of information. i believe that these shops sometimes will lag in their pricing and thus some shops will have a more competitive edge. doubt that there is always a shop that is always the cheapest.
  12. @ IPineapple i remember when i bought all these from them. i had a $550 savings as compared to harvey. Their shop has very very little appliances. They lady boss actually would like u to call them up and she give u quotation on the spot or within 5-10min. No need go down bedok (isnt that good?) unless u are sure u want it. Of course, tell her u wanna buy quite a number of items from her. I will do a quick comparison of my oven with e v er joint . At that time, they quoted me hob is $620. BKC quoted me $590. Oven from e VerJoint is $645. BKC is $620. Harvey was way more ex than these 2. But tv would be good to get from the big players because of the extended warranty. good enough? edit- this hob is for the enamel one. the one in the pic above is cast iron which i bought later on for 790.
  13. Ah paiseh..forgot to add that in. thanks for reminder! 60 cm Stainless steel Gas hob PCC615B90E

  15. hello cat lover... we are fine with the pipes running around. our flat got a lot of exposed pipping. but u got a valid point there....it would really be an eye sore for some. possible to just drill a small hole from kitchen to the pipping outside the flat?

  20. hock siong is a gem.. confirm its not newyewn. there was a period last yr, you + mae + maedream + this lady kept posting. she kept raving about imperfections on her plastered wall and wanted the ID to redo and redo?
  21. off white also very nice. sand it off also nice. dont want to think about it. an opportunity gone.
  22. choice of laminates: kitchen cabinets satin silver. whole kitchen to be silver. no funky mix and match colours for us. floor is grey cement. wardrobe raw matt dark oak. suits the mbr room feel.
  23. wardrobe we will both share our wardrobe side by side. nth much here. the inside is kinda standardized.
  24. ok back to reno. all these while, we still waited for the cement to completely dry. we waited for 2 weeks before we were satisfied with the colour. so the carpenter came and we sat down to discuss the kitchen cabinets and wardrobes. kitchen cabinet the fridge is not supposed to be there. si alan... =) gong to be using track lights and t5 cove lights for the kitchen. we wont be using dish drainer. we dont like having a dish drainer that protrudes down. we like those ppl who did their dish drainer flushed with the top cabinets.
