bought ikea beds. really just cant find a simple bed that has the colour that we want. cant rem what series this is. NYVOLL. the legs were black. we sprayed it gold. and this time we sanded it first.

we bought some items from ikea. bought this white wardrobe. its because this area will be used for future needs so didnt want carpentry. while fixing up the wardrobe with the ikea guy, i casually asked how can i prolong the lifespan of their products since they use chipboards. He asked me if i got paint and told me to paint all the exposed area of the chipboard. Like this, it will prevent moisture from entering so easily. Took a pic and hope all the silent readers benefit from this. i rem those lack shelves also are chipboard...

while kitchen look was coming in, we then had more confidence to get these 2 knives to fit the look.

shopping is fun...everyone loves it man. got super good reason to keep shopping.haha! during reno, everyday is sunday man. sama sama... want to stay in the current flat as long as possible but will wait after 5 yrs and see how is the economy.

mbr door these handles/locks are given free but we opted to change the colour to gold. the cement floor still havent dry after 2 weeks. so we went to find other kinds of handles and locks. went down again and again to make sure size and colour is correct. hoot!!

okay... another kitchen towel. making of platform for study room and 1/2 of living room. once carpenter lay the body, he uses this industrial stapler and staple the planks together. "CchaKK!" overall feel of the platform

bought some white pots from ikea for plants another shipment arrived! our kitchen towel. and then bought more sprays for DIY.

lights in study and living room up. track lights in living room and kitchen is nth new. using energy saving spotlights. good thing about track lights is that these can be turned any direction to spotlight any part in the room.

couldnt find any nice mirror frames so had to go make one. we chose from one of these. the black fans were also installed cove lighting in mbr up

cant paint. u need to sand it first. or u use plastic spray. i used paint because i wanted to see if painting would be faster.

cove and down lighting in the mbr. for living room we are using track lights. below comments are my own opinion: one thing i want to point out after i installed LED downlights is i really hate them. even if LED can save more money or can be brighter than t5, just put a book with small words under both lights and see the difference. To me (again, it might be different for u), the words under LED lights appear 'ghostly' and 'blur' wherelse the words under t5 lights appear 'solid'. Its the same situation for LCD/LED vs Plasma. I hate the lag in lcd and led. Go to Best or Harvey Norman and watch a fast trailer. Then look closely at a person's neck and see if you see 2 necks or a widen neck. Go to the plasma section and see another neck ( using neck as point of reference). The lag is not so obvious.
