Hi Happy Ang, great looking home! Hope you still frequent renotalk as I would like to seek your advise about the TV console. I am looking at getting a standalone TV console as well. 1. What kind of modification did you make to the console? 2. What dimension is your console and how high are your power sockets on your feature wall? 3. How do you get your console to be flushed against the feature wall? Would appreciate if you could answer my questions. Thank you!

hi, the finishing is laminate. am not sure what is stain lacquer. =)

Hi, this costed us $355. Do note that size is not customisable.

My gate is done. Hehehe show me pict of urs. Wanna see how it looks like.

White glossy laminates are easier to maintain for cabinets. I didn't have a glass backsplash... that was the original wall. hehe So far, it is not entirely effortless. Just remember to wipe off any liquid to prevent any seepage into the solid surface permentantly as and when you spill something. Things like wine, curry, coffee, better wipe off immediately. If you want to have a white kitchen, do keep it clean regularly. Am sure it will last a long time!

Hi ashleyspace, as you can see my end product. My kitchen is full white cabinets but I used grey on other parts like my lamp and chairs. =D

Hi chan121, u've got PM! Sorry I can't share the reno breakdown as they are in hard copies. However, all in all, we spent $56K on our reno works. Overall, our contractor did a good job on ensuring that his sub con get the work done. He is a nice guy. Really helped us alot during the reno process.

Hi originalbread, perhaps you could check out Ikea or franc franc (Vivocity level 2). Some of Ikea's tables are extendable. So when not in use, can make smaller. Franc Franc is a brand from japan... price quite reasonable and designs are nice... sizewise... they are much smaller as compared to european brands. However, I read from someone's blog that the table's quality not very good. But no harm taking a look. Is the dining just confined to the right hand side?

Oops, I found the answer to my question! hehe I have yet to visit Pomelo. Shall go hunt there to hunt my coffee table and side tables! Thanks for sharing!
