Hi Kobe bro, no lar this is a end-of-life model going at clearance price... the latest version is the 28448. Like I said, I'd never considered this model before... was going to go for the 24444 (also end-of-life), cos I needed a 8kg washer. Erm... no 3Ds to share unlike the rest so can only update my buys lor... haiz, give ppl the wrong impression that I shop a lot. Thanks Patsy! But no updates for a few days tho. My netbook just crashed and all my painstakingly collated lists, pics and links were wiped out! Luckily have some info in my blog n in renotalk else really can cry... (-_-") Hey marsh! Thanks for dropping by... think my purchases are almost at the end... just left: 1. Fridge 2. Fans (probably boring KDK) 3. Bed base/divan for my queen bed 4. Sinks n WCs 5. Heaters (probably Joven) 6. Dining table (more or less decided, just can't bear to pay) 7. Dining chairs (more or less decided, just can't bear to pay) 8. Balcony chairs n table (more or less decided, just can't bear to pay) 9. Lights (no feature lights I think, so not very exciting) 10. Window blinds 11. Under-sink water filteration system 12. Sofa (still looking hard) Oops... just realised not that few after all... wallet starting to ache again.

Welcome to RT! Always loved retro-styled apartments. And from a couple who are both in the creative industry at that... looking forward to loads of cool pics, ideas and quirky buys.

Wow congrats on the new addition to the family!

I thought he looked like he had a few naughty ideas while you were doing the Lux shower ad... and yeah, I was lucky to see the gorgeous Ely do her thing in the bathroom too. -
Wow, congrats on getting a place in such good condition! Even tho not quite to your high standard but just the marble flooring alone would result in considerable savings. Happy for you. Looking forward to seeing your plans for a lovely home.

May, don't be humble lar, you are also wardrobe expert! Just to share some good stuff... SO n I went to Hoffen over the weekend and were quite impressed by their design and build quality. I can't afford a Hoffen wardrobe or kitchens, but some of you may be able to? They have gorgeous stuff and loads of blum accessories/shelves/hinges! Hoffen has 30% off their systems till 29 May, so do make time to go down and have a look if you are free. I really love their wardrobes... n kitchen tops are in Corian btw... Some of my fav wardrobe features here, and more details are available in my wordpress blog post on Hoffen.

Thanks Ely! Would love to see your place (and your amazing online buys!). Am pretty sure I'll be poisoned to buy something I never thought I'd needed after the visit. Just to add, I think you are gorgeous too. I'm not allergic, but I may jump or give an uncontrollable scream if your pets do something unexpected near me... residue bad reaction to a horrid childhood experience with a stray dog... I can usually control myself tho...

Yet another major purchase today... finally got my washing machine. It's a Bosch WAS28444ME: A rather unexpected buy as we had been looking at lower end models... but came across a good offer for this end-of-life model and was seduced by the 'made-in-Germany' tag... (has the same effect on me as the MIJ tag).

Thanks for the suggestion Ely! I will revise my wardrobe layout plan in version 1.1. And yes, I've loads of blacks too... But I don't have another wardrobe to play with... so just have to live with what I have. Before anything, lemme drool 1st... 5 metres??? Sigh... mine is a misery 2.6 m in comparison. I don't have many dresses lar, so loads of space lor. Hope it turns out well! We had agreed on mild steel in plain round bars (that matches the corridor windows) but last week suddenly IDs proposed cable wire rails. As I mentioned on your blog, we are also getting the parquet stair steps. No idea cos we haven't seen the revised quotes... we were originally quoted slightly less than 4K for the steps and steel bars excluding demolition costs. Yeah, also told our IDs that cable wires would match future invisible grills.

Hey boyblunder, nice chatting with you yesterday and thanks for the ride! I was over at my sis place checking out her 11 yo and still working extendable dining table. Think her table was from Italy, but couldn't find the brand. We were checking out all her 11 yo furnitures and concluded that quality stuff really lasts (her sofa looks battered by abuse from her kids but the foam hasn't sagged!). Think most of her stuff were from Italy. Just thought to let you know since you mentioned a concern on whether extendable tables can last. SO n I were definitely convinced after talking to her.

Dear reno experts here, I've spent a lot of time thinking of my wardrobe config n this is version 1.0. What do you think? Any advice is most appreciated! TIA! Sigh, can't help but think of May_dreams' 3m (?) long wardrobe, while I was planning.

Thanks for the advice Sleek, but I really do have a budget constraint after COV... (I wanna slam ex-housing minister MBT again)... So no Miele this time... Thanks for the link was reading n realise that Boconcept is also using compressed word and not plywood? Wonder if I can get a Scanteak n have a furious spray paint session? For the Toto stuff, I uploaded some design drawings, dimensions n prices in my wordpress blog so maybe you can pop by for easy price ref while out shopping? What is the standard Kohler discount btw?

I disagree... it's more like a bachelorette's DREAM den...

So sorry to have missed visiting your place! Chat more with the rest of you next time k? I've to admit was a bit over-whelmed when I first arrived at May's place...
-
Wow, love your reno. Congrats on your beautiful house!!!

Just thought to share some pics of my current stairs following a stairs discussion at May_dream's place.... Thanks to Ely's hubby for his suggestion to save the teak steps, but after re-examining the way the posts are drilled into the wood, think no hope to salvage... We are currently going with cable wire stairs... IDs had suggested really minimalist railings but we wanted to childproof the stairs in case of future additions to the family.

I would love to get a Miele, but it's really out of budget for me! Was quite keen on Bosch, but after an enlightening discussion at May_dreams' place re: the Bosch machine's drawback, am now re-considering... ahhhhhhhh headache. We have been to quite a few of the ones you named, but was hoping to get at decent (i.e. budget) prices... we haven't gotten any major furniture apart from the bed so loads more shopping to do! We ditched the pillows n Serta sheep and got 3 sets of bedlinen (no quilt cover tho), 3 sets of mattress protector n the pink GSS sheep. Should have asked for the little ones! They are so cute!

Thanks very much to May_dream for your generous offer to let me visit your apartment. Great to finally see the famous long kitchen counter n huge wardrobe in person plus to put a face to many of the online nicks I've seen and/or interacted with. Loads of learning too! Am off to do more research on washer... -
Hey 666, you got PM. Thanks for the advice Sleek, much appreciated! Bo Concept is recommended by a friend, but price-wise... Sigh... that bad huh? I really thot the desk looks quite good. Anyone got lobang for nice white long and narrow desks? See... so much for my attempt to get budget stuff...

Hey, now that you mention it, we do need new emoticons! e.g. - Smiley with pom poms - Fireworks - Angel halo smiley - Crowns (for all the Kings n Queens) And the sad ones like: - Cry - Sweat ... That aside, you are most welcome to my place when it's ready. Very worried how it'll turn out tho... since we are more or less doing an all white theme so that leaves loads of room for decor n colorful accents/accessories? I'll just continue shopping and hope for the best.

Before everyone thinks I only go for branded stuff, here's something from Ikea that I'm eyeing... Looks good rite? I think it'll be great in my bedroom, but will hold back from buying till we get a sense of the space when reno is done. Pricing and specs and links can be found here.

Did you also get the GSS special pink sheep?
