  1. it's true you overpaid for B&W speakers. they're one of the biggest advertisers in the world of speakers so magazines will almost always give them good reviews. in fact, it's always a safe bet to avoid all British speakers!
  2. Wharfedales are considered as a ''junk'' brand to seasoned audiophiles, in fact most of the 5-star rated brands in those popular British hi-fi magazines are crap ! they were given good reviews based on how much they advertise on the magazines. plus, most of these brands are Chinese-owned and made.
  3. considering the range of speakers KEC has, Wharfedale might be the best of the worst.
  4. since you already bought the speakers then no point talking about it. there are much better speakers out there. just hope those Wharfedale speakers won't fall apart in a few short years' time.
  5. Onkyo is a good choice but i sure hope you haven't bought Wharfedale or Velodyne. you can't be more wrong about the speaker choices.
  6. if it cost over $1500, my advice is to forget about this brand.
  7. PrinceBed ? i was told by a saleswoman that it was from UK but it's a local brand !
  8. whatever you do, don't buy anything from vhive ! their products are to be avoided !
  9. thanks a lot ! from what i've read on the net about King koil, seems like they're to be avoided ! i'm actually torn between Vono and 4-Star since Vono is from Slumberland BUT Slumberland is now owned by Malaysian company so Vono might be started by the company to make use of Slumberland's reputation without any real quality. as for 4-Star, they seem to be quite low-tech, eh? by the way, any bad concumer experiences with either brands ? i'm more concerned with durability rather than comfort.
  10. hello, after reading up on a number of BUDGET mattress brands, i narrowed down my choices to : 1) King Koil - i've read that it is a US brand but made in S'pore ? 2) Vono - should be okay since it's a sub-brand from Slumberland ? 3) 4-Star - a reputable local brand ? hope you guys can help me make up my mind. thanks!
