Got 1 funny contractor told me that if I wish to loan 30k, then my quotation has to b 50k and above? Need to present so much? I calculated n the most I need is 40k and loan 30k the max...Pls enlighten me...tks

Dun worry. As long as u can produce some form of evidence like even booking of banquet to proof that u will b married, then HDB is fine. No need whatever letters of extension. HDB juz requires evidence ESP if u hv got the grant. There r terms and conditions on the grant so pls note. A black and white is good but do not lose sleep on this matter. As for how long, HDB replies will still b within 3months on completion. Get yr agent to pen the letter for u as this is their job...

I went there pinning high hopes n met a simply dunno anything person there too! Showrm is indeed impressive but hey I am particular at 1st abt wat internal PVC or laminate etc...Then I passed by a really carpentry factory n saw wat they meant by PVC, polygon or laminate etc... Aiya, PVC n laminate looks similar to me n pls pardon me for sAying...I think no one cares the inside since in my personal opinion it is their sales pitch? PVC also got many patterns n colous also so I really dunno how to differentiate once it's paste inside... I still dunno which ID or contractor I wanna choose...Will share again then!

My shortlisted ID lied when I questioned him about poor workmanship done by his company at my fren's HSE. My fren's HSE was terrible though same firm but different ID. My shortlisted ID said same carpenter, same tiler firm but different workers put me off.. I always thought carpentry came from same factory? Maybe he didn't lie but ID firm was irresponsible of poor workmanship actually scared me off.. Not to mention tat my ID had a share in this firm.. This shows that firm has poor management too.. I dunno but if a small firm cannot manage a group of less than 10 IDs n no quality control, how reliable can they be? Sigh... Let me pinned some hope on Jason then..

I am actually not comparing quotes rather looking for the chemistry wif my selected ID/contractor.. I felt tired juz by looking at 5 n I picked 1.. Then was a huge disappointment.. I kept finding out more lies fr my shortlisted ID!!! Sigh.. I am really upset.. Nw I need some cooling period cos v exhausted... I am actually planning for a revamp for my 5rm as my twins hv grown up.. MAYB if the right person doesn't comes by June then we will defer the plans to Nov.. Meanwhile I will stay tune to yr blog n will call Jason again..

I hv a darling chihuahua which I adopted 3yrs ago..It always made me so sad to read abt dog abusers but u made me smile.. My chh is turning 8 soon n Not in the best of health too.. Mine will b a low budget so I adopt a wait n see attitude who I award the job to.. Now ID n contractor also choose their client de.. I almost confirmed on an ID firm but I was too shocked/dumbfounded when I saw hw they did for my fren's HSE.. Different ID but same firm also tarnished their reputation as I believed they uses same contractor to do the job.. I became v stressed after reading the blog here.. Even buying sofa needs to find the right company.. Anyway, glad yrs seems to b gg well..

I also need one! 1 ID actually quote me more exp than wall tiles to do for kitchen area as he claimed tat epoxy is v exp??? Many also against it though I said I knw abt the crack lines... Is it so diff to do???
