i saw a post in punggol.org before on the review for noel, the review was quite positive but it was in 2011? but at tt time i think he was in a diff company.. atelier M+A if i not mistaken. when i met him, he seems to be quite good in design and when we give him something he want, he will close his eyes and try to visualize then tell us what works and what doesnt..even gave unique ideas for the space and even told us how to maximize the space. but honestly, when i recieve his quote, it is quite high and over budget.. so... not one of my shortlisted.

call NEA and police. HDB will do something liao. Last time, the contractor started doing some works at the lift right outside our door on a SUNDAY MORNING. i called nea then the police. From tt week on, no more knocking and driling and dunno what stuff on weekends.

HELLO!! just nice i was about to ask a question.. what are the different types of wood we can use to DIY shelves and other furniture.. i know some wood are used only for certain things.. can u pls tell me the different types of wood tt are good? lik kapok wood, plywood.. their properties and such.. because i cannot find it online! I'm trying to DIY doors for my shelf and i was thinking of plywood.. but another fren ask me not to use plywood..

LOL okie.. hmm what u say is really true.. if it was other bto, i wont really care which flat i stay.. but for this WW2.. the problem is the price is very high esp if the flat we get is the one without the view or the one directly opposite the petrol station then it makes no sense to pay for a 3room flat in WW2 when i can get a 4 room behind WW2. thats the price difference.. =(

what do you think? reason why im asking is because we got a que for the recent WW2.. but judging from things, we might not get the flat we want.. want to ask if it is worth it to pay such a high price for no view etc.. is it worth it in future in terms of resale? we dun mind if got view or what, but most important is the resale value in future. Also, do u think the price will drop? coz if it might then we might want to try again although getting such an "okie" number might be hard in future.. our number is 75/118 3 room flats.. to be frank, the amount can be used to buy a 4 room flats.. also, govt promise another 22k more flats.. with this, i think the price might drop as supply will meet demand. need ur advises as i see u all so expert in this. * please help* ty!!

While i was reading this, i felt abit of... weridness? I dunno if it was a coincidence or what.. but here's my story about the mirror thing. When i was first with my ex bf, he was a nice guy and never had a history with cheating or anything like that. We were good for 1 yr, until i shifted into an empty room in my house. because of the angles of the room, i had to place my mirror facing the bed. and our legs when we sleep will face the door. 2 weeks after shifting, i realized that my bf became very werid and also very suspicious. It was the first time ive ever noticed this behaviour in him. And ive known him for 8 yrs. we were good friends before we became a couple. Then i found out that he was cheating on me 2 week after we shifted rooms, that means he has been cheating on me for about 1 week. Confronted him and he stoppped. A few months later, he cheated on me again with another girl. this time i found out too late. he already cheated on me for a few months. Even his mom was surprised that he was doing such things because it was very out of his character. So i somehow think maybe fengshui was involved? I also feel that the position of the bed and everything played a part in the whole diseaster for the 2 yrs i stayed in that room. The toilet was above my head when im sleeping on the bed, my feet was facing the door, when u open the door, it will face my sister's room. and after shifting, i suddenly have very bad relationship with my sisters. Beside my door was another toilet. i was effectively surrounded by toilets. -.-" my luck suddenly became very bad. all this seemed to go away after we shifted house.

Hi Aron, Wish to thank you and your team ( Ah Di and Ah Long as well as the indian worker whose name i didnt catch) They were fast, they started at 1.30 and ended at 5. I saw them measuring and balancing the tubes and casing and made sure that it was straight.. just that the air con installed was abit slanted. HAHA.. or issit my beam is slanted? I really want to thank them for their patience as my father in law was home and was creating abit of trouble by constantly disturbing them and adding abit of work on their part by asking them to change the layout..this and that.. hai.. old folks.. what to do. Anyway, they did their best to minimize the dust and dirt and even helped me to clean up at the end of the day and entertain my father in law abit. Your team might be young but they seem quite experienced. Also thanks for your recommandation, my hubby is extremely happy about the aircon and pleased about your service. But only thing is, lol.. i think maybe coz its friday and i asked for the installation so last minute, your guys might have missed out the removal of the old aircon. hahaha.. but small matter. Thanks for accomodating me on such short notice!! your company is the best! keep it up. will definately get you to do my cousin's house when she moves in.

go buy a new lock in the hardware shop. there's a "key" inside the box. stick the key into the hole. not the hole of the knob that u can see. behind the door's knob, see the stem , there is a hole right? turn the knob until the hole is deeper.. stick the key in while ur knob is still turned. stick it in all the way le, jingle and turn. the knob should come off. done it a few times le coz my knob always spoil. there's always a spare "key" in my room to geet myself out. =DD either that or break open my window and climb out from there.

Hi guys, just want to share my experience with you. My bedroom door is very very old, about 17-20 yrs old, original door from HDB with the slits in the door one. Also, the door has alot of problems where the metal frame is abit off already. the door itself is breaking and always jam. so 1 day, it finally jam until im stuck in my room i cannot come out. my bf hack the down the knob to get me out. so the door now has a huge hole where the knob supposed to be. it was already 5pm in the evening.. we cannot be sleeping and changing in a room with a huge hole, so we decided that we HAVE to get a replacement door NOW! called many ppl, no one interested to just fix one door, until we found this guy called Alan. it was already 6.30pm by the time we called him. initially he said no. but after explaining, he agreed to come down. his price is quite okie. but his responsibility to his customers is the thing i love the most. he came down immediately with his worker to fix a door for me although its already 9pm. and promised me warrenty for the door. he even fixed my metal frame. 4 mnths later, the knob spoil again. no fault of his. cause our metal frame already quite bad, from hammering the sides to hack open the stuck knob. its not his problem but he offer to change for us the knob for FREE! i really want to thank Alan for the great work he has done. after getting him, we recommanded him to our friends who has also praised his workman ship and responsibility. our friends got him to replace their windows and doors. it was a stroke of good luck on our part to know him..

Hi all!! thanks for the reply. at least i know can save money on the re-wiring! YAY! from ur replies, i think i know who is the culprits. 1) AIRCON!! its the window unit. omg, i didnt noe that they eat so much electricity until u guys told me. i think should change to inverter aircon.. if i get a system 2 but use only 1 aircon, will the charge for the electricity be the same as a system 1? timing when its on wise, cannot be changed. they sleep during that time.. 2) lights, i think this have to change also. they like to on the light. if i want to save on the lights, means have to get the energy saving bulbs? hmm.. seems like got to go ikea to see.. their lights that they on is one switch but it ons 4 lights at one go.. toilet they also like to leave it on. 3) Fridge. its a 5 yr old fridge. sayno superior.. does that eat alot of electricity? how to see if the appliance eats alot of electricity? issit by seeing the voltage or something? 4) TV. omg.. this is the old type of tv. the box one. -.-" they have nothing to do at home, so watch tv whole day.. sometimes sleep also watching.. 5) cooking. My SO is going to ban cooking in the house. his father some times forget to off the gas.. and then run off to smoke.. i sense a disaester waiting to happen. if dun cook can save water and gas. need opinons for the cooking thing for those with 3 in a family. is it more cost saving to buy from outside for dinner than to cook 4 dishes a night plus rice? I just realized something very dangerous that they are doing.. the old flats in each room only has 1 pug. so they have multi plugs on multi plugs. i think need to help them get more plugs. what do i tell the electrician? i want more points? how much does one point like this cost? hope to get a rough gauge because i need to plan how much money we have to fork out for this. u mean if i re-wire the whole house, it wont help the situation? or unless i understand the daily utilised which contribute it, re-wire also cannot help? sorry my english sucks i cannot understand.. paisei.. please explain.. there are only 3 ppl staying there. air con is only on in one room. from 8pm - 7am tv is on whole day, from 7am - 11pm. how come the bill is equal to my own house where there are 6 of us, 3 rooms on aircon at night. can the tv sap so much electricity away?! goodness!
