Anyway, he didn't gave me the difference between the 3 tier sys and the additional soft closing drawers but instead, telling me each drawer cost $88 (this price was from the link I sent it to him). There are 3 kitchen drawers, 2 console drawers and 2 casement doors of wardrobe. Total 5 drawers and 2 casement doors. But he calculated by multiplying 7 x $88 = $616. From the website, hinges of casement wardrobe doors are cheaper and not $88. There are a few sizes/models of soft closing drawers ranging from $40-$88. It does not mean that all the drawers are using the $88 type. I think he should check with Excel on the cost before quoting me such prices.

Yup, he gave me the cost of all the stuff he absorbed and threw in. So I can't say anything about it but to close the case. When I am richer in future, then I change the stuff to "anti-slam" lo.
-
The ID says, he throw in alot of freebies, absorb alot of cost already. So I tell him, "nvm, forget about the additional soft closing items and do as per discussed. If I want, then I change myself." Case closed.

Anyway, it's not the ID's fault. It is just me that I never check this line properly before I signed on the contract. To me, as a layman, I would thought that "3 tier sys" refers to a column of 3 drawers. doors using excel soft closing / drawers using excel 3 tier sys.

Sister, I told him several times when we met that we want to use Excel soft closing doors and drawers for all the carpentry in our house and he said ok. I am not referring to BLUM system, as I know BLUM is expensive and Excel is a cheaper choice that also comes with soft closing drawers and cabinet doors which we were quite satisfied. I had seen soft closing drawers and heavy-duty 3 tier sys drawers many times before. Last night, he told me that Heavy-duty 3 tier drawers are soft closing and those I actually want are anti-slam. IMO, soft closing is anti-slam. They are the same things. If soft closing is not anti-slam, then what is soft-closing doors?
-
Anyway, I just hope for the best, hopefully he can throw in. We thought we relate to him several times when we meet, but still there's communication breakdown. Haiz...

Maybe someone here can tell me what is soft closing for drawers. Is it heavy duty 3 tier sys or those anti-slam?

Thanks for the advice. Have u tried air purifier?

We will discuss today. Not sure about the top-up yet. Hopefully he can give it to me as complementary. Had recommended him a number of customers.

One advice to all, better to check your renovation quotation again and again before u sign. Sometimes, what was communicated will not reflect directly on the quotation. There are always chances for communication breakdown. Today, I realized I signed for 3tier sys drawers instead of soft closing anti slam drawers. My bad that I never check the quotation properly though I thought I already did. Another advice is to go thru the quotation item by item in details with your ID on the day u sign.

Yup, will consider after I move in. Thanks so much for the advice.

Haiz.. Enuff of my aircon issue, just hope they do a good job on this Wednesday. Take a look at my tiny store room.

It is better that u on your electricity before they come. Cos its better to do a full test before they leave. What if it's not working? Hassle hassle!!

Just called them today and requested for change of the wooden board and conduct a thorough test. They will send the guys down on Wednesday 6pm-8pm. Everything must be ok before I proceed with my carpentry.

I hope so. I am going to tell them to change the wooden board too.

It's fortunate that the carpentry work has not started at this area. I cannot imagine it leaks after the cabinet is installed. Who is going to pay for the damage?

Aircon water leakage detected yesterday when the flooring guys lay the lamintaed flooring! This Gain City technician came to our house to rectify the problem. Reconnect the water pipes. Told him to test, he say cannot test, he told me test already cannot wrap back my aircon, no more plastic bags. WTF! In the end, he test by pouring water on the aircon vent. Is it ok to pour water directly on the aircon vent? Arrghh...

Changed the conventional 3 lift window pane to a single window pane... Nicer and easier to clean.
