Sis Marshy, HDB style, the newer the flat, the smaller the floor area But like I've said earlier, to me a home is not about 50 sq metre or 5000 sq metre, not about $5k reno or $500k reno, a home to me, it's about who is inside your home with you and who you wanted to be in the home with that matters...

Hmmm, the layout of my Flat is the Gen2 type, yours is Gen1 type but Gen1 have bigger floor area and kitchen is with bamboo holder, u'll realise that the only way to dry my clothes is to dry them at the Balcony area... ... pros n cons buddy

I faced some problem first during OTP then my Wst appt, but due to the advises I receive here, I managed to appeal for an earlier 1st appt date; I wrote in to HDB n also went there personally n pester the officer and call him every other day for an earlier 1st appt, and yes, my persistance paid off n my completion will be on 19th April Thanks a lot for the concern, and feel free to add comments n discuss with us on anything under the sun here,

The Study at Lvl 1 had been hacked by previous onwers to create a open concept kitchen... .. but the "open concept" kitchen is the 1990s is much different from the current "open concept" that we all have... so we intend to bring down the wall totally... Will upload all before pics when I bring my contractors to take measurements over the weekend (current owners had agreed to let me do it).. .. We are now finalising between the Calypso, Flow or Elda, and yes, we are also taking up the package for a King bed n mattress... Only thing here is that there are not much reviews on the Nightingale Mattress, we tried it in the Loyang showroom, feel comfy enough.. ...

Dear residence in Yishun, new or old, let's gather here to share anything under the sun in our neighbourhood. Let me start ; I am staying with my parents in N7 ... And wife n me recently bought our flat in Yishun Central N3 near Northpoint... Can't wait to move in !! We really like this place as there are 2 MRT stations in the estate itself and also the upcoming bus interchange n NSE in few years. The variety of food choices along Sembawang rd, the Seletar Reservior and Bottle Tree... We simple love it !!! Do feel free to share your thoughts and experiences in our neighbourhood ...

Hi Forumers, Can you share your valuable advice with me on whether is it critical to create a foyer for my main entrance ? The main door to my flat opens directly into the living room and living room window (once I open main door - the view is straight right in). I understand that this is very bad for Feng Shui, am thinking of creating a false wall to block the view... Thanks in advance for your valuable advices and knowledge
