Completing stages of our reno.... Its 3 months since we collected our keys and rolled our pineapple... Our reno is also coming to an end, only final patching of wall and painting (all to be DIY) to go... We looked back at the fun journey over the last 3 months, they were exciting times and sometimes even anxiety as we did not use an ID for our reno.... we did not have the luxury of having 3D pics (although my contractor is able to provide), we also do not have luxury of a space planner, designer to advise on colours, furniture lightings and so on..... Over the past months before our reno started, we spent late nights on Reno talk, other forums, design web pages, sourcing and "copying" ideas for our home.... But nonetheless, we're glad that our final result turn out well, also we need to thank our contractor for giving valuable advice, ideas and sharing his valuable experience with us.... not forgetting all the good friends I've made here although wife is a Virgo and me, aquarius, there are drastic "clashes" of expectations along the way during our reno, what I deemed good is normally deemed "fail" by her but we kept it fun and constructive.... and trying never to have conflict or arguement.... even if there is, it'll be over after dinner together ok so much of my thoughts..... pics next... ...

Hi striking, they are mostly close on Sunday, I dunno how to describe the places but you'll definately find a few shops with switches on display, most of the electrician contractors get their switches there.... There is 1 shop inside kelantan lane beside 1 coffeeshop selling the famous Laska, the auntie have a wide range LeGrand for testing.... They have wide range of chairs there, you should pay them a visit

I'll need 5 more confirmation to make 8 pieces and we can pay deposit to Hommage together. Will keep you updated again, I will start a group buy thread at the groupee section next Monday as I'll busy today and tomorrow.

Yup, it is.... Thanks dude for dropping by my t-blog, I love your condo layout, and the coffee table you posted, will be "stalking" your t-blog constantly Hi fairydust, unfortunately, Hommage do not have any on display, but it'll be the 1 Lush and Exclusive have, they take from same supplier... Cos the plants are slightly taller than me.... so i thought.... they need as much water as me... quite stupid of me LOL..... Yes, the rubbish chute is at 1 corner, we are still thinking of ways to hide it... Hahaha Sis lady_R, yes I think I almost drown the plants but hopefully they are ok, seems like you got some experience in planting, can you share more tips ?? like when to water, when to use fertilizers... thanks thanks

Hi Zone23, thanks for dropping by our t-blog yes, i agree that 1.5 litres is too much, I kept relating ths plants water consumption to my own water consumption... also when i bought it from the Kovan nursery, I'm attended by their Bangladeshi gardener.... when i ask him : "easy to keep this plant ?"... his reply was "very easy boss, just put water".... so I followed his instructions blindly... but wife heard him saying "just put water every 2 days boss"...... LOL, I think I'm quite nuts in a way to have over watered them..... but have learnt from this experience hopefully they won't drown, otherwise it'll be an expensive experience
-
Hi ymjp100, I was just updating on our t-blog that I've over watered the plants have stopped for 2 days now, you've said it, it's really pretty difficult to keep plants for novice... ..
-
But my rubbish chute is in the balcony Sis Marshy, I think I've over watered botht the plants, now they look "lembek" (in Malay) or in hokkien "ai si ai si" like that.... I've stop watering them for the past 2 days, and see if they become better.... am going to the nursery to check with the people there... I gave them about 1.5 litres of water each daily.... I think that's a little too much, the plants feel "drowned" now need to do some research on how to take care of them properly....
-
Bro, you can have 2 compressor, but the other 1 have to be inside your unit, since yours is EM, and you're most probably going to place the compressor "inside your space" which is the balcony wall, it is ok according to HDB. For higher loading, yes I recall reading something like what Sis Adidaem said.... u'll have to check on the electrical loading...
-
WOW, Superb view !
-
Bro, yes I also think the cost is due to the high balcony walls and staircase wall, for that, they need to erect scaffolding ... All the best, enjoy the fun !
