  1. Thank you =) lol The briefcases are my dad's from the seventies! I have been looking around for old typewritter and found alot hanging from the ceiling as deco in a store @ Wisma!!! Too bad it wasn't for sale... It will be great to display it on your bookshelf and find a corner to place that suitcase too!=D
  2. Thanks alot =) Pai Seh, give us some time to add in the final touches to our kitchen kk =) The kitchen is open up so as not to feel too constricted and it allow us to have a easier access and communication. I agree with ya, the frame make a whole of of difference, it wasn't intended to be there but it came in as we needed a box up to hang the bar counter work lights, which lead to having extra box up use for the side pillar as the carpenters had measured wrongly(too short), then it seems weird having a different material for the left "pillar", so add in again..
  3. Wah you very sharp! Speakers are Micro Pod SE from Scandyna. AVR is Onkyo 508, Blu ray player Denon BDP1611, subwoofer is Velodyne cht-q8 which is hiding behind my sofa at the corner. Total around mid $2k.
  4. Thanks to my ID for helping so much. We wish to have the 400% of these Be@bricks in the near future.
  5. Thank you very much, it took quite some time to find all the bits and piece them up together.. Thank you =)
  6. Well you can find alot of neat stuffs from shoplesss.com.sg. I haven't order it yet as we are quite broke =( Cheers =)
  7. For the blinds, just pull the strings to raise them. I had asked the installers were the materials from China, he said nope but never tell me from where. The blinds were made/assembler in SG. It took one week to be installed from the date of measurement/deposit. The fan can be found @ Extra.
  8. Hi AutumIsa, thanks alot =) I believe it's real brick material just that these are slim kinds of approximately 10mm thick. Materials are from craftstone. The damage is about mid-high 2k depending on the area of your wall you wish to cover. You could save by making it look like a run down wall or placing bricks.
  9. lol, I will upload less my kitchen as still need fine tune =)
  10. Close up of our sofa =) It seats about 5 pax. We initially wanted white but it was out of stock, so they loan us their blacks. Well the black give it a nice contrast on the white brick wall but still we would wanna have it change to other colour.
  11. Finally, it's more or less completed. Just short of a few pieces which are still being ship over or something... The master bedroom We decided to go with the slanted drawers but slanted at the bottom. The Philips are a must get! In my case, each of the four bulbs are tagged to the switch number 1 - 4.
  12. I have no idea how much AIR is selling it. I had to sand/file down the threading of the bulb holder. I also tried to expand the hole abit for the fruit bowl.
  13. The toilet light. Kitchen Light readjusted to have it center. The Clipsal dimmer switch for the halogen lights around the dinning area. Cos the area only has 2 grouping of lights. Hence more control over the lighting in the middle of this most pass through area. The instruction for the above mentioned which seem worth the hefty price for this switch. The bronze version to match the wall.
  14. We almost made a wrong decision on the bar top to have rounded edge but thanks to your reply. We have the corners as sharp as possible! lol
  15. DNA light for the uncompressed room With regard to the hanging aircon piping. A very sad news for us is that the aircon we love is totally unavailable on this tiny . . It is very frustrating that I couldn't find any dealers selling the Samsung FBEA026 / FBEA052 model (please note that I'm not reading the model code off some piece of paper or website) it is literally imprint into my brain somewhere! With some comfort words from my ID, it may be due to some common fault that this model is being discontinue (Ya i did saw some flaw in the opening and closing of the aircon @ G@_nC_ty.. Since we can't get what is deem gorgeous aircon (link to photo and video of the aircon) and cool IMO. We have decided to get a reputable and safe aircon from Everjoint as advised Mr Lee. Mr Lee said that the Starmex from Mitsubishi Electric have a great service support which response the next day and have no issues of no spare parts and etc. This statement made my life easier to decide on this. Also with regards to my damaged piping while drilling the wall for the aircon trunking. Mr Lee said he will pay for the damages and me to get my ID to fix it. My ID got professional plumber to mend the pipe and bill me for it. I told Mr Lee about it and he told me it was way above the market rate (which i still dunno how much it is) and I had paid for it. Mr Lee kept his promise and paid me back which I greatly appreciate it! Lesson learnt is to check the cost on both sides, if not ask the party that damage the XXXX to get it fix. The hanging pipes which I also noted that the pipes are cut with a proper pipe cutter as my friend's aircon installation was done with the pipe snipped and left semi open... By using a proper pipe cutter, it produce a clean cut, the tool is often a faster, cleaner looking end. This was also being taped up or cover up with a cap to prevent dust from entering the pipe. Dust and etc will affect the aircon in the long duration so please make sure your installers cover the pipes end after laying them. I dunno why got so many holes in the false ceiling.. ID also stunned when I told him about it. He will get it settled tomorrow.
  16. We, being an indecisive couple is painful to the pocket!! We have been changing this and that for tons of stuffs which I couldn't list them all out here. But still I would like to highlight certain points which would help those reading this, that it is essential for you to stop browsing websites(less RenoTalk) and magazines on renovation after you have pen down your ideas/plans!! As such the below was written with blood $$$. We, members of the indecisive couple, do solemnly and sincerely pledge that, we will bear true faith and allegiance to our wallets in our pockets(and bags). We will always support our bank account. We will not change anymore plans for our renovation and protect our wallets with our lives! Time do some update (finally!) as it has been quite stagnant for the past weeks.. MBR with the lighting partially installed. The double powerpoint will be shifted as we choosed to have more wardrobe space. 2m of desk desk space for both of us but I just remember something last night, my TV stand might not have space to put (if you have notice that is something on the top left corner of the floor plan just below the middle window).. MY ID will chop my head if i said need more desk space instead. I guess we will have to take up 80cm of desk space each, leaving 40cm for the diagonal TV stand. The compressed room with my DIY lamp. Looks familiar right? Any guesses?
  17. Hi JS, Simply wonderful place you have. The toilets are amazing and maybe you can get a steam cleaner like from Kracher or OSIM to clean those grout lines.
  18. Hi JumpStreet, Thank you as photos of your lightings on your brick wall have some what convience my Missy to have ours change to! It looks way better with halogen lighting and your place looks really georgeous! Smart way of "expanding" your kitchen too!
  19. Hi JumpStreet! Thank you very much. I see that we have similar taste and would you believe it if I was to say some of the stuffs you had chosen are the same and some was also in my list to get!!
